It is very surprising when you go out what you have to take. We put some meds in one pot others in another. We also have to think if we are held up so we best take those as well. Plus yourself.

It is as good as planning for a picnic.

Off to get some groceries today, plus I hope to make it into M&S this time, need to go to Boots as well, then will arrive at the folks with a cake, not telling them we are going or Mother will cook a huge meal. Take them by surprise instead.

First thing will be "you should have said you were coming, I would have made dinner", no Mother, you need to rest too, being Dads full time carer is more than enough for her. OH does lots of jobs for them that they cannot manage.

I am just popping the kettle on, all pills taken and I am determined to be in bed before 3am tonight. All the early mornings are not helping me. I should be used to it, after 16 years of not sleeping properly

It is, sometimes I take my t time pills, just in case we are late, or are stuck somewhere, otherwise I get in a panic. Usually we are back by 4 ish and I can go up to about 5pm without them, after that, I can tell I need my cardiac drugs. Then I have to have water bottles no matter where we go, always dry mouth.

What joys eh. Have done cats supper, done my dermabrasion on my my face, (one has to try to get rid of wrinkles). Cup of T and biscuit, then bed I think.

    Morning girls

I expect Bubbles, Trisher are still in the land of nod, well I hope they are.
My meds seem to be the right cocktail at the moment. Off to sleep the minute my head touches the pillow.

Sounds like you take so much medication Trisher, they are all fighting each other. No wonder you can't sleep bless you. Your poor wrists. My splints help mine, but seem to be going through a quiet period at the moment.
Not much strength in my hands though and always stiff.

You talking about tea, there is suppose to be more caffeine in tea than coffee. Do you try the decaffinated? I use to drink it when I couldn't sleep, but fingers crossed, no problem. And tea out of a dispenser. OMG it's awful. The only drinkable drink out of a m/c is chocolate. A lot depends on how well the machine is cleaned out and how often. I should imagine that, in a hospital, not often, if you think about their budgets. I would imagine that they do it themselves and the mind boggles when you think about it.

Mummy B. You deserve a medal for what you have done with those children. I was fostered, they couldn't find a clear minded member of the family to sign the forms. I came from a similar background and they certainly left their mark on me. All over. Burn marks.
I had a sister and a brother and we were all split up. Back in 1944. things were different then after the war. I met up with my sister when I was 14 and we met occasionly until I was 21 and then she just disappeared again. Never did find out where my brother went. He was only a little bit older than me. I often think, what if.

Never mind, I have a wonderful son and daughter and 6 beautiful grandchildren. and bestof all, I now have a lovely OH who is my rock and that's all that matters, andof course, all you lot.
    Now for a cuppa

    Good morning

Hi Joy, I was so touched to hear your story, I hope you had a reasonable time in foster care. I find it so sad that you were separated from your siblings, never to see them again, that must have been so hard for you at the time.

We have had a wide range of ups anddowns as foster carers, but I don't consider what we do to be that special, its amazing what a bit of love and stability and a listening ear can do for a child. I would say that we have gained far more from the young people than we could have ever given them. Every one that came through the door was accepted and treated as part of our family, we loved them all and still do with the ones we are still in touch with.

Our little boy has a lovely relationship with my dad, its so lovely to see them together, he clearly loves his grandad. Our lovely girl is growing up into a fantastic young woman, and so clever, despite the years she missed at school when she was younger, she is doing really well now and is predicted to get greats GCSE resuts next summer. They are both our pride and joy.

I'm glad you have your lovely family now, they must be your pride and joy too and your lovely hubby, they're worth their weight in gold, I have one too, don't know what I'd do without him, especially since arthur struck.

Ah well need to go and get ready for work, have a good day Joy. xx

Fruit salad and wholemeal toast? You need a proper brekkie inside you! I've just popped in for a great big bowl of porridge and my thick white toast with butter and marmite. Why don't you join me in this instead - I'm sure it's much better for you really - and you need the energy?!!!!!

Have you had Glandosane (Synthetic Saliva) prescribed for you?
Helps with the dry mouth caused by the tablets etc. You can probably get it over the counter, but I had mine prscribed for me.
