Good night everyone. I have yet another headache coming on very quickly. Have just spent the last couple of hours sorting our my medication cassette for the next 4 weeks. My dr and pharmacy, in their wisdom decided last week to change my evening BP tablets. Was taking 24mg of Candisarton each evening. It has suited me very well over the last couple of years and settles in quite nicely with my other meds. I have now been prescribed Ramipril for the eve. Looking thro the Ask your dr or pharmacist if you have any doubt etc and have read the following (won't put it all down) but basically, if I am taking doxazosin (morning BP)a, Preds now or before, certain drugs used to treat cancer (MTX), or auto-immune med, then there is a problem. Also, I should be taking it if I have asthma, and it might cause certain kidney probs. Haven't I just finished 2 lots of antibiotics for a kidney infection fgs.
Don't these chemists or doctors ever look at your medication list?
I am so mad. With being so very busy I have now had to make another dr appt to go and discuss this. I shall ask for a prescription for my usual meds and askt them to monitor me on these new ones when i get back in a month from Norway. Well, wouldn't you be wary aboutchanging any meds?

Sorry to go on , but am so mad. You wouldn't guess would you?

Hi there Trisher, just in case you do sign in this evening. Hope you are ok and not feeling too war weary. Have they left you with any blood?

Bubbles, has that knee gone down, or have you just been weeding all of that flower border.

Anyway, I shall try and check in tomorrow sometime. Got to dash out shopping in town tomorrow before the disabled parking finishes at 11. Then drs in p.m. Inbetween, still trying to get the house tidy. I think I have this untidyness syndrome wherever I go.

f035.gif am having a hot do, onion bhaji's were very nice, very spicy, then I decided to have a little potter and do a few bits of ironing...............now I am in a lather. Have had a sponge down and lots of day gel from boots slathered all over..............it's really nice and cooling.

Hi Julie, hope you are ok and feeling a bit better with your treatments.

trish, big hugs if you are looking in. I know you have been through the wringer again.

Hugs to all, let's share the love. p050.gif See I told you I was overheating

Hi Joy, the knee is a little easier, still cannot bend it much and it is still swollen, but the ache is masked now with the steroids. No, I was not allowed to weed, OH did the garden and I was plonked under the brolley and given coffee, which was rather nice. 8) The strimmer was out, but I am already banned from that. Tell a lie, I did get a few weeds out of the raised bed, when no one was looking.

Your cocktail of medications should auto flash up on the system if there is a risk of drug interactions, I now mine has in the past. The pharmacist should know their onions too, but sometimes I think they are so busy, they just dispense and don't cross check.
