Oh Trish, Im sorry youve not had a good time for ages. It must really change for you soon.
I Have 2 needles in neck, 2 in shoulders 2 each side of knees & 1 further day on right leg then 1 in left foot. They cant treat my right hand cause if to painful & i get sores from my splint & right foot is a no go area for anything as it has to much scarring for 3 pervious ops & skin graft there. She had to pull the needle out of left hand as thats what gave me the full body electric shock last time.
I might just sit there with me arms & legs crossed & refuse to be pricked & shocked any more.

Trish, sending hugs, let me know when I am on pocket duties, I will stand guard while you sort out the catheter tap.
Hi Annie, Debs, Wonky and everyone else that I am bound to have missed. Have had a little read back, things move a pace on here sometimes.
Boy it is warm here tonight, have shut the windows as all the bugs in creation are coming in and if there is a spider in the bedroom I will have a litter of kittens.
Did you mention cream horns Trish, one of those would be uber nice.XX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -

I will be on pocket duties Debs, no more shocks, it is off putting to say the least. I remember on one of my angioplasties, they went into the femoral artery, again, they caught the main nerve in my inner thigh and I was almost embedded in the ceiling. That was after umpteen injections of local anaesthetic. My cardio said, "sorry" and moved the main arterial needle and said to Sister, best give some more IV valium :roll:XX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -
Debs
You have had skin grafts as well? Did they work? Mine never took.
Are the needles helping you? Is there any change?
I will be there with you in the pocket, next to Bubbles.0 -
Hi, Im not a wimp with needles, ive had umpteen bloods done, local anesthesia for small ops, i even had a Caesar section by epideral awake etc. But i got a bad electric shock when i first started to use the tens machine on my neck, then i got this when she stuck the needle in me hand. Bit off putting.
Cris reckons they getting a nerve each time & thats no joke.
The 2nd from last needle made me jump a little & last one well like you me nails were about in the ceiling  Think i'll stick them in her if it happens again. She did say the treatment gets more intense as we go on but x%$&*~#..To say the least.

We will indeed, shall we take a drink or two with usXX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -

What are they trying to achieve? You seem to be having more pain than less.
If it is not working it does not seem to be worth going.0 -

Bubbles it is ok when you have legs you can use the straps. But they fall off when you are abouve knee.
So that is the only way I can hide it unless you know anything else I can try.0 -

No, I understand, the velcro straps are fine, as you say....I will have to think back. I do remember bags that were used with waist straps, for both indwelling and intermittent catheters.XX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -
I'll put you both im me pocket with a flask & a coupl of cream horns (save one for me though )
Trish, i had a bad accident on a motorbike when i was 17 a car hit me. I had really bad lacerations to my right foot & tendons were torn. 1st op they took me down to theatre in amputation cloth but managed to save me foot, clean it out & repair the tendons. 2nd op was to skin graft the wound so it could heal. I have not since had any movement in the toes & foot swells & goes blue when it gets cold. I get so annoyed when people complain about me wearing socks all yr round but me foot has to be kept warm. I had to have warfin(sp) for year to get the blood through me foot.
I then had a 3rd op to remove some nerves from the top of foot so i could wear a shoe on that foot. I was in a wheelchair for 4months then crutches for 18months after that & at 1 stage they said i wouldnt walk again without crutches, i would be able to drive & defo never ride a bike.. I did all three, got a full licience for car & bike I love proving them wrong.

HI everyone
I see Trisher needed a wonky warning
I am in for a quick peek at what has been going on but will not post much because the blessed computer has the wrong keyboard on it and I can't be unfaffing it at this time of night
I need to get an adapter for the 'proper' keyboard lead to change it to a USB fitting and then we will be able to swap and change much easier.  more shopping
I am excited today ..... have just booked my train ticket to get to Leeds for the Arthritis Care AGM in July not been to one before but it will be a nice day out I hope. Wonder if I will meet any other forum peeps without knowing it we will all b ether with our 'proper' names so won't recognise each other
right ..... will go get my meds then read back.
hugs to everyone & put me in your pocket too Debs as long as I don't have to look at the needles
Wonky xxxx0 -
Hi Wonky, you will like Leeds, if you have never been before, great place for shopping etc, Harvey Nichols Darlink, only the best. Used to go quite a lot.
You will likely meet people from the forum, I am sure, without knowing, you will have to guess who is who........
The laptop is getting very hot here, even with the extra cooling fans underneath. Don't get in a fuss with puters at this time of day, too warm and too late.XX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -
Right Oh Wonky will do & thanks, Just watch out for me nails Toni got a bit of a shock last week (bit too sharp)
You'll have to do a rehab whisper (cant remember the saying ) But just whisper ''its may say A on the badge but its wonky'' Then they look at your badge & say no its not Sorry should have done a wonky wonky warning there
Night luv0 -
I am going to sneak to the front door and have a ciggy, I am boiled..............XX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0

Wonky
That is so nice, I hope you enjoy yourself. Lets hope you might meet some people.
Debs
Wow that is some accident. So glad youu went on to walk.
After I lost my first leg I could not walk properly so mobility was limited. I decided to improve it.
I started driving lessons, Took my test after 12 lessons and passed first time.
When you have that fight in you do do what you want to do.
I got a brand new car and was driving around.
I started having fits and could not drive anymore.0 -
I don't drive now, except on the very rare occasion, to the Drs, which is about a mile away. Just cannot concentrate enough to feel safe, not with all the pills rattling away.XX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0
-
ARR, Trish, Thats such a shame. Does Bill drive?
Thats half the trouble with me i got too much fight but not enough energy for the old Debs to come out.
I wont give into this though no matter what its chucks up at me.
Ive gone through That accident, Cancer, a mucky divorce, my kids coming & going, the probs with stepson & my own probs plus anxiety & depression. Im a fighter but sometimes i do wane abit. You lot keep me on track though.
thanks debs0 -

I am back in now, all traces of smoke wafted away. It is nice on the decking, room enough for us all to sit and take the air.XX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -
