I'm beginning to think it is more than one type, but we'll see. Do you know about rheumatoid factor tests and what do they consider to be a high score?

It would be fab to meet her wouldn't it. Have you met anyone from here?

Well girls getting sleepy now, so going to try to get some shut eye, see you all later, night night xxxxx

I hope you read this. There are over 200 types of arthur. It must be hard for the doctors to find out which one you have.

When you suffer from more than one of them it must be even harder to pin point them with your fist lot of bloods.

It is continuing taking bloods that eventually confirms it. Some can be diagnosed easily others can take time to get there.

Thanks Trish, have had a very strange day to day, went to see doc this morning, he gave me name of rheumatologist to contact for a private consultation (we're in hospital fund who will pay half) anyway, I managed to get an appointment today and went to see him at 3pm. After a short chat and an examination of my knees and hands, he told me that I have Rheumatoid Arthritis as well as osteo and that the osteo has been masking the RA. So now I have had a steroid jab to calm things down and a prescription for methotrexate and folic acid. He will see me in his NHS clinic in two months time. Feel very relieved at having a diagnosis and explanation. Hope you are ok today xx

    Hi Brenda

Well I'm not surprised you have RA, it was high wasn't it? Did they tell you if it was really high?

You are going on mxt well, if you are like Annie, she was so bad then they put her on MXT and she is a different person now. She does not feel ill like she did.

So I hope it helps you as well.

What did he give you in the injection? Medrone Or Prednisolone?

Well you got all done and dusted Did they say where you have got RA??

Annie has not been in. She sent me a message she has a really bad headache and has taken her night meds and gone to bed.

She thinks it is because they may have a storm on the way.

Annie hope you feel better in the morning.

    SSending some (((((()))))
    Love Trish xxxxxxxxx

Hi Debs. Jan and Trish, thank you all for your messages, I feel relieved just to have a proper diagnosis at last. No wonder the painkillers weren' working very well!! Not sure what type of steroid he gave me but he said it will work quite quickly and last 6 - 8 weeks. (had one in knee last week that only lasted 2 days so hope its different to that). Hope you'll ll continue to be there to help me along the way and if I can do anything for you girls, please let me know. Oh and got some Amitryptiline to help with sleeping from GP, so here's hoping ...... xx

Don't worry, we will all be here for you promise, you are one of us now so we have to stick together.

He proberly gave you Prednisolone to stop inflamation. They do help even if not for long. I think it works better for some than others.

You have amytrips as well, now that cements it you are one of us. Only joking we will be here for you we won't let you go.
