Been down to London, on the train, to have lunch with my sons. Then a bit of mooching around. Glad to get home, so hot there. Much, much cooler back home.

I will have a pint of pineapple juice, and a slice of lemon drizzle cake.......Ange.

    Loadsa cake Barb.

Train takes just over two hours. I go quite often, book in advance, then upgrade to first class on the train. Lovely, air conditioned, and free food and drinks.

    Cris

Been thinking the same. We will have a bad storm down here and it will pour down. Afterwards it will be cooler.

It is far too hot. I feel bad saying that because of the freezing weather we had earlier.

Hubby said that when he went out in the car the outside temp, on the outside moniter went to 91 degrees.

There are neighbour's children asleep on blow up matresses, and others putting up tents in their gardens as it is too hot inside.

I will have a large orange juice with ice in it.

    One hot Trish xxx

Better now, sitting in the living room with door and windows open, cat is on the lookout for any cats, rats, frogs, squirrels or buglars.

Have got a plateful of assorted cheese and biscuits, will have another pineapple juice to go with it............

Something has bitten my leg, big itchy lump on it, lovely!

Will finish this and take the night meds and try for some sleep soon. Would like to get up early and work outside while it's still cool tomorrow.

Hi Trish, Annie, Brenda and all who are hiding in the fridge to keep cool.

Hugs to everyone, hope arthur is not biting too badly, we all seem to have had a lot of pain these past few days. I know the warmer weather makes it worse for me.

For those in southern counties, where the temperature is tropical, cooling hugs.

For us who are in more northern, yet humid areas, fans and thin sheets for bedtime.

Not sure if I can read back, the eyes are a bit blurred tonight, think the pregablin is fuzzing up the vision a bit.

Iced Tea, I think I will make a HUGE pitcher of it, for us all.

    Hi Bubbles

It is still very hot down here. It is almost unbearable now.

The plants and grass seem to be baring up well on bubble bath with moisturiser from M&S. The plants are standing there proudly not wilting. and the grass seems to like it too all nice and green.

    I need a cold drink.

Help yourself to the iced T. There is a hosepipe ban here now, until 2011, the reservoirs are 60% empty, we have had no real rain for what seems like months, the odd shower, but that does nothing really. You can walk across the river near us and plants are growing in the middle, in between the rocks, the ducks are paddling around trying to swim, bless. We get a lot of ducks around us, one comes round shouting for bread most days, she makes such a noise.

    Bubbles plus anyone

Where that man is on the run it is pouring down with rain. I bet everyone is dancing in the rain.
It is a stand off between that man who killed the boyfriend and hurt the policeman.

Hubby has the news on and I think he is surrounded by police but they don't want to shoot him as they have to account for every bullet they fire.

Goshy look at the rain I'm just looking to see what rain looks like. I have forgotten what it looked like

I have the news running online, just to see what is going on, goodness knows how it will end, if he stands up and points his gun, then they have no choice but to shoot him, which, is probably what he is thinking, to be some kind of martyr. I hope it does not end in more bloodshed, there have been enough killings recently.

I have been very unsettled the last couple of days, when they said he was still on the loose and anyone was a target, makes you feel uneasy, just going about your daily life.

It looks like the gunman has shot himself and is receiving treatment. The news is happening faster than my brain can keep up with it, moreso at this time of night

No, they will have to keep shtum at the moment, despite the thousands of reporters who are there, demanding to know what is going on. The police will give a statement soon.

Goodness it is nearly 2am, I had better take my pregablins...........and zopiclone and put the kettle on.
