    Oh Trish, anything for a pampering :wink: tea with cream cakes & men with muscles(unlike my OH carrying a beer belly & calling it muscle. instead of a six pack he's got more of a party 7 if you remember them :shock: :roll: )

    Your doing well if you holding 400mg a day. I tryed to go up at the dose pain clinic gave me & it was to much too soon. Im supposed to be on the 600mg a day by now but gp has given me the 150mg plus a pack of 50mg to play around with doses til i get it right, that way i can up when nerve pain gets really bad & down it when its not.
    Cris also said & gp agreed, split the doses 3x per day if you can tolarate it so you still get the 600mg but in 3 doses,200mg at a time.debs

    Hypermobility when you have more movement in the joint than most ppl one e.g if you can bend your thumb to your wrist . the joint gap is bigger than most then bloody arthur jumed in!!

    I think it is the same as you, i have OA in the bottom of spine also my neck crunches and yuk infact all my joints do so i am doomed!

    I need the full treatment at this spa ! will it be a fit hunky man doing the massage :wink: i hope so :D

    I don't recall the couch shuddering, they will stop if you press the button, then the couch will slide out and they will see if you are ok. It is up to you then, if you want to carry on. If they are viewing the liver, they are likely to give a contrast medium injection, but they might do it without, the MRI builds up a 3 d image, so they might well not bother.

    TrishNo they stop if you hit the panic button then can continue when your ready. Its not that bad honest & we'll all be in your pocket.Im not sure if they testing you for liver they may ask you to take a biomead(sp) or inject a dye but for nerves/ bones they dont ask you to do that. well didnt me, ive had the Boimead but i throw most of it back up & they still did scan ok.


    Hypermobility is were the joints move further than the normal range,double jointed people or gymnasts get it too.I ve got that too. plus cervical & lumber spondylosis,OA & Fibro. IBS do i need to carry on. :oops:debs

    Of course, :mrgreen: Mind you, I am not the worlds best person to ask about MRI scans. Truly they are not as bad as you think, but don't listen to my advice about them, I was just a wreck, but that was me, being me.

    That sounds more like it is broken gosh that must be painful? Sounds like we are all doomed :shock:

    You can have whatever man you want to do it just fill in a request and you will have every need that you want pamperd.

    My neck crunches and hurts like anything it meet up with the RA I have in my shoulders.

    changing the subject quickly, the council lady rang, about a grant to change the shower, she said we have to pay £800 towards it, but even if we agree, there is no money to have it done until after April 2011 :shock: :shock: :shock: No RUSH THEN :!:

    We are all in a heap aren't we. Spondylosis of neck and spine here too, so I can sympathise with everyone. My neck, shoulders and arm have been going into spasm the past few days, not been like it in a while, but the pain is almost unbearable, you can feel it coming on and you try everything to stop it. Damned arthur, where is that muscle man to massage my aching neck :D

    There is only one thing that will make me scared is the need to get away quick not having my wheelchair near me therefore feeling trapped.

    Because of what I went through at the hossy that is the one thing that will bother me and make me sweat the feeling trapped.

    We have just been piggies, large blueberry muffins with ambrosia chocolate custard. I did feel guilty for about a millisecond. It was gooooooooood.

    The staff are really good hun, they know that some people are frightened by the machine. You can stop it at any time, they will talk to you and let you know what it going on and keep asking how you are. Don't worry if you need to press the button, they can stop the scan straight away and carry on again from where they left off, a member of staff can be in the room with you if you want, to reassure you. Just no peeping is what I would say. It is well ventilated, just gets a bit noisy with the banging.

    He is on his way he won't be long.

    Ah Bubbles you only have to wait until their budget they get for doing showers and all those type of jobs comes in April.

    That means give or take for installing one you only have to wait 9 months before you can shower :shock:

    That's not long is it?? £800 and the rest you have to pay yourself's?

    I am sure you will be fine in your scan Trish once you are there they will reaasure you and you can have a snooze :wink:

    I had a brain scan years ago was worried sick for various reasons once i was in there i thought to myself you fool you been worrying for nothing, not that bad. Dont know about a a whole body scan tho is that what you having?

    I have had a CT Scan now I'm having my liver done by this other machine. Something has gone wrong with my liver.

    When they do your bloods it should be around 50 ish Mine has been rising and had reached 1,139 so I was referred to the Liver Unit.

    It has been going up and up the lady doctor i saw on Tuesday said it had gone up since i had seen another of their consultants the other week and they must find out what is wrong with me.

    She said they must get to the bottom of what is going on and other results are coming back abnormal too.
    So I'm having a MIR Scan next.

    Well, I will just have to teeter on the step the OT sent, for the shower and rely on Oh saving me each time I get out. We have to pay 800 and the council will pay whatever else, be it 1000, 2000, 3000 etc. We will have a think, we have plenty of time. :roll:

    Have taken my last lot of meds, so I will be off my little trolley in no time at all, best set all the alarms, do not want to be up late, want to be awake and come round a bit before in laws arrive. I will say n night now, you take lots of care and rest well, hope you have a fair night. Sending hugs to you and yours and everyone else who is in the land of nod.
