I used to love the Clangers!!! And the soup dragon and those strange little red creatures as well - froglets?!

Thanks for the welcome folks, and the coffee!

No decorations up here, probably will do them next weekend, I fancy a real tree this year but the last one made me itch and sneeze which was strange as they've never done so in the past! The cats love the tree going up - need to keep the hanging bits out of reach of Boris the bonkers feline or he spends hours "hunting" them!

    Hi Lottie,

Nice to see you in here and welcome to the site :D I sometimes use a holly tree branch for a tree cus my cats are so bad with the tree....... I tie it to 2 doors  Got an old hawthorne just outside the window that gets dressed up every year........ and looks really lovely, though I might be a touch bias eh?!

Would you like a refill? Cris x

    Hi Joan,

Glad its done and the longer the results take to come through the safer it was. x

Right I have found happiness now........ Gt a 'new' stereo given me and was a bit disappointed cus was told it would scat my one into the dark ages. I just read the book and WWWWWOOOOOOWWWWW deafness will ensue  Its incredible actually and got vol sound inhibitor off now :D:D:D:D:D Would anyone care to have a bop round with me to Deadmau5 Ghosts and Stuff and Goldfrapp's Happiness? Luv and very happy and mellow Cris xx

Thanks for the welcome...keep the coffee coming.... :D

    Hi Lottie,

Oh yes you certainly can bring some Chicane, I got the Peas on now  Its such a good system......and very, very, loud and can take more base than my old one :lol: ( I don't have near neighbors  ) Hey could we have a bit of Flock of Seagulls and Simple Minds as well the cheesy '80's stuff  I hope your having a good day? Cris x

    Hi Cris

We can most certainly have Simple Minds - Promised you a miracle is one of my best "cheer up" tunes and I might just have to flick thru my PC's music library now and get it blasting! I bought some "Creature" JBL speakers for the computer a couple of years ago ago and it transformed music whilst I work. Perhaps some Depeche Mode, Visage and Human League to round off the 80s revival and of course a bit of Duran Duran... :D

I'm Ok today thanks for asking - the knee isn't too sore, its tucked up with a warm pair of trousers round it and I might even manage the gym for a bit later as I'm REALLY missing my training (I'm a part time fitness instructor and was training to be a personal trainer when my knee went wrong...).

I hope your day is good too - music really is one of the BEST coping strategies - a life without music - my god, too hideous to think of!

    Hi Lottie,

Oh flower this bone thing takes so much away from us at times but maybe if they could get you sorted a bit you will be able to do a scale down but still do something you enjoy? I really hope you will.

My pc speakers are rubbish but I am thinking of putting 2 of the redundant speakers on it now  The other 2 are destined to be blown up as the 2nd set on this

Oh right with you over Visage, can we have Mind of a Toy and Fade to Grey please? Hey we could chuck in some China Crisis (I love Wishful Thinking :D ) and maybe a bit of Frankie Goes? Mind my best cheer up now really is Deadmau5 and Goldfrapp..... I love the 12" instrumental of Ghosts and Stuff and the 12" I Remember and how can I stay sad with Happiness on  Then there's Ride on a White Horse and I am beginning to sound sectionable  :lol::lol:

I do like Simple Minds, I might have to dig it out the cupboard now, I got Greatest and Glittering Price in there somewhere  What I must do is dig out my Faithless us this system will be so good for Sunday 3am :lol: Especially Thank You

Might see you later and don't think how you are ow is how you may stay. Luv and a ((( ))) Cris with vibrating ears  xx

Hi to all, Trish, Joan, Cris, and Lottie, welcome!

Not long back from a very long day, first hospital for EMG and NCS tests (and no more probs there than I expected, yippee) then lunch out and then Christmas shopping.

I now need a builders and a bucket of energy and something really really decadent...........any suggestions? If it's illegal, immoral and fattening I will be happy!

Joan, how are you feeling now? Is the head a bit sore?

Hi Annie, it isn't illegal but it certainly is immoral and fattening - a big slice of Thorntons Alpini cake that they sell in their coffee sections in some of their shops........absolute heaven on a plate!! Its my treat of choice and when I was training 5-6 times a week I could get away with it - neding to be more careful now but the odd treat makes life so much better! Your day sounds long and tiring.....have a more restful evening! :D

I took a more scenic road home today, I went into Boots and while I was looking around I did not see the steps, as the floor and steps are the same colour.

What did Trish do went merrily along her way with Christmas music was playing then WHOOOOOSH I went down 3 steps in one go. Oooouch I said.

Of corse everybody was rushing around me. The only two rules I could remember were Hang on to your bag, and more importantly make sure you still have kinkers on

Have you got a plaster please. only a small one will do. oh a large bucket of energy and another coffee ( for the shock

Well we are having fun today aren't we. I'll try Lotti's cake please.

Oh, Trish, what are you like? Did you check on the knicker situation at the time?
Glad you've had a slightly better day in spite of not looking where you are going!

We've just got the power back, so I'd like a large builders, please; hey, is that Thornton's cake chocolate flavoured? Just asking, cos I don't do chocolate flavour - anything else, but not that.

I've got to spend a few minutes tidying up when I've had my builders; in the dark I knocked over a huge pile of ironing.............I'm going to give it to my daughter at the weekend as she's got a steam press, I can't stand the sight of it any longer!

Hi Annie, Alpini is indeed a festival of chocolate so it probably isn't good for you if you don't like choc...can I suggest a big slice of carrot cake instead or perhaps Costa's raspberry slice type things? Equally scrummy!!! 8)

Well, hello everyone. Nice to meet you Lottie. I love your choice of cakes, but I am trying to be good at the moment.

Hi Annie. I use to live in a village where the first sign of a storm or heavy rain we would get a power cut. But it's that rain that is worrying me.

Gosh Trisher, you were so lucky you didn't break anything. Hope you haven't bruised yourself too much except your pride of course. Sooooooooooooooo embarrassing,

Anyway, haven't got time to stop for a cuppa. OH wants to upload Autoroute and Google Earth. So cyberbye.

    Hi, I'm back.

Think I would love a cup of really dark chocolate. I need an injection of choc. Have gone without for too long.

OH has just reloaded Google Earth again after having had the hard drive sorted out, but this time it said that it would cost us.
So decided tosee how much it was going to cost us and the price came up as £6.90, something like that, per 3 years. We recheck, so he clicks on to pay, gets his card and it just takes the money straight away, Message comes back saying, we have just taken £35.95 out of your account for a 3 year period. There's no option for a refund. Trouble is, I need both Google Earth and Autoroute to work out our journey to the artic circle and back next year. When we test it out to see if it is the new one, it isn't, still shows our front drive with the Triumph MI 2000, that we sold a couple of years ago.

I have had such a busy day. Went into town on the bus, went and got my ears tested. My opticians offered me a free test, and I'm all for free. I didn't spend any money. Wanted a new coat and tried TK Makk. There were 4. Anyway folks, I'm falling aleep over thecomputer here so will say goodnight Sweet dreams everyone and that means you Trisher.
Hope the waves stay away Annie.
It's lashing down outside her at the moment.
    cyberhugs to everyone

Hi Trish, I'll join you in a sausage roll or two. Or three.

My nice relaxing evening has been rather overtaken by events, but I've got it back now

I'm going to a Christmas Fair tomorrow, getting out and about again, I'm living it up this week; two different hospitals, the dentist and the doctor's surgery (twice). .......and shopping twice (first time I've shopped twice in a week for years) - living life in the bus lane :!:

I keep yawning now, think I'll have to go and find some zzzz soon, once I'm up there I shan't care if the electrickery does go bang again.....

Has any one seen Chris or Cris?

It's dark now, so maybe Cris should be in unless she has run to the shops.

    Chris

She should be around by now. I know she was home but not seen her since any one seen her post?
