I have done most of the chores and just a few prezzies left to wrap, so I'm resting on my laurels (I know what that means but it's an odd saying).
It's absolutely bombing down with rain here and has been since about midday. It's dark enough out there to be a burglar's night, too.
Supposed to clear up for tomorrow morning, I hope so, I've got to go out.
I'm going to help myself to a large builders and some of that fruit loaf I can see sitting over there (wonder who brought that). Piled with butter, just the job!
Annie0 -
Hi Jan - that fruit loaf just wasn't enough, I've now got an enormous cheese and pickle sarnie.....and I already had beef stew and dumplings earlier!
Congratulations on the new wheels, happy motoring :!: :!:

Hi Val, how are you? We've all been taking turns at the cleaning and cooking. Hope you are pleased.
We were going to get the Christmas decorations out over the weekend, but we all seemed to be very busy.........maybe we can do it soon.
While I'm here I'll have a quick builders and a cream bun if there's any left .......we need to get some fresh ones in ready for Trish when she comes back.
Annie0 -
HI everyone,
boy it's been quiet in here today  everyone must have been busy like me trying to find christmas pressies!
could murder a large bacon sarnie please ..... good job it's a virtual one or I'll wake hubby up with the lovely aroma
going to the playgroup nativity tomorrow so that will be good. Hoping I will feel less tired than I have today - can you have a few buckets of energy defrosting for me please?
hope you are all ok and that Trisher is ok if anyone is in touch with her
.
sleeep well all XXXXXXXXX0 -
Hello anyone, anyone there???
It is quiet, especially without Trisher. Just popped in, couldn't sleep. Thinking about Trisher, have done since yesterday, hoping the op would go ahead ok, you know how you get all keyed up for these things and then the hospital will let you down, cancel or something. She is so looking forward to Christmas now.
Just having a cup of tea, couple of Co codomols and will get back to bed. Have had bad headache for over 48 hours now.
And I've learnt that I shall be having my daughter and family up to stay for a day or two from boxing day. Lovely surprise, then followed by son and family so we shall all have a lovely day together.
Head been full of plans on what to do for food, how are we going to all sit down. There will be 6 adults and 5 children. Decided not to do Christmas food. Thought I would do lasagne, chilli con con and miniature toads in the hole for the children. They love Yorkshire Pudding What do you think? Pub grub. At least I can prepare most of it in advance. Freeze it I made a load of Yorkshires the other week, had too many so decided to freeze them. Had them yesterday and they were brilliant.
I did say to my other half about booking the local pub with the indoor playground for the children, but think it will be mayhem after christmas.

I've just made another cuppa. as soon as I get back to bed I shall need the lou!. I've got one of those roll on things. Dr thought I might have urine infection last week. Sent test off but haven't heard anything. Suppose I ought to ring up tomorrow. Usually, if there is anything, they ring me and tell me there is a prescription waiting. I do have backache but not in the right area for that and I don't feel like I have a fever.
Oh well, here goes again. Will be time to get up soon.0 -
I'm ready for the porridge with cream and honey and then a large builders. I need sustenance before I tackle the dreaded Post Office.
Annie0 -
Certainly, provided you keep the scruffy mac well contained. I know what they're like, flip about all over the place and I can't have flipping macs with porridge :!:

Hi Joan, hope you are keeping warm has been so cold here today.
After work I was going to call for milk at the shop on the high street only to find it in flames!  The fire engines were there and no casualties but had to walk a long way for me milk so was not a happy bunny.
Hope things drying out for you Cris if you manage to pop in, hope you are coping? Sending hugs to all those who need one.
Take care all

HI All,

Sorry to see that Wonky
I do sympathise, I think alot of us are feeling a little burnt out and worn out at the moment. Do take care of yourself. xxx
I'll leave the kettle on incase Cris or the others call later.
Hope you all have a peaceful night

Thanks Chris,
don't want to drag others down with me ....... I love coming on here, and I really value how supportive people are.
I just hate this time of year and this year is getting even more complicated ...... Christmas, family, arthritis AND CBT seems just too much right now!
tomorrow may be a better day - I hope!
sorry to hear about your fire BTW - hot milk no good to you then?
hugs ((((())))0 -
Well, goodnight everyone. Sorry to hear you are not feeling too good wonky. Hope you feel a lot better tomorrow. Must admit, not been too good myself the last 2/3 days. Did my usual Tues MTX injection this afternoon and it has just about finished me off.
So I have sat in my chair this evening. It was the replay of Kettering Posh - Leed United. 1 -1 at final whistle. What a match. had to go into Extra Time and the last 15 min saw Leeds get 2nd goal and after that they just crushed us. Considering Kettering is Conference and Leeds 3rd Div, I think. Don't know much about football half the time. Anyway. Leeds now play Manchester United.
When we got to full time and 1 goal each, couldn't believe it.
Right, goodnight. Hope we hear about Trish tomorrow and hope everything went ok.
joy0 -
HI Joy,
sorry to hear you are feeling wiped out too - I get my MTX injection tomorrow, so hope it doesn't wipe me out too!
Hope you have a better day tomorrow,
take care,

Let's have a cuppa before I get the kids up, Delboy and you can tell me all about it. Is it because you've had no sleep?
Not been in for ages. I don't do breakfast so early but I will have a slice of chocolate cake with my tea.
Nx0 -
Bit late this morning, overslept due to being woken by the freaking foxes playing hide and seek (this year's cubs) and I couldn't get back to sleep afterwards.
It seems to be DRY here today, wonder if it will last?
Don't have to leave for work till 10.30. I would like Christmas to come very, very quickly so that I can get it over and done with and move on. Not long now.
I'll have toast and marmalade and a slice of the coffee cake after to build me up for working today.
Hope you all have better days.
Annie0 -
I'm feeling angry at the whole world for some reason lately.
Oh dear, Delboy :!: :!: Sorry to hear that. I hope I didn't add to it by our little dispute over faiths recently.
Joan0 -
Mornin all,
Hope everyone is fine and having a bit of dryer weather?
A builders and some toast please and I think I need a choc bar.... or 2...... or 3.......
Have left some pasties and saffron but ate the hevva n the way here
Hi Wonky,
I am sorry your feeling like this at the mo. It will pass and the CBT takes a lot out before it all falls back into place but it can be very effective. I have had years of counselling, most of it just the other kind but had some CBT for the rat phobia. It was very successful for a while till I was in a rat infested place too long......... Not as bad as it would have been prior to the treatment but its not as good as it was initially, though I do know how to work through it.
He is on his way, he thinks if he can stand and bark at Christmas for you it will make it behave......... Slurps and ((( ))) Cris x
Hi Joy,
Sorry your not so good. I really hope things will get easier for you and wish I could actually help. Sending ((( )))'s and hopes your soon feeling better. x
Hi Chris,
Sorry you had a fire, they are scary eh? My tv caught fire monday, I mean really went up with 2' flames the lot   Thankfully I was here and didn't freeze.......... It ended up being unceremoniously being dumped out in the mud but then I cracked up thinking what would have happened to this lot had I not been sat here.......... I know its not that common an occurrence but I had a fire in a plug socket last December so am starting to worry for next one! Mind this on was a very close call and thankfully none of us were hurt and it was only the tv that got flames.......
Hope you have a good day and ((( )))'s for you as well. Dipstick is on his way with some eggs and a hug for you...... He said if He can do it so can he x
Right I am off to brave several inches of mud and some steps and get the hawthorn dressed
You all have a reasonable day x0
