    HI all,

Cris - we knew you had been a bit quiet and now we know why!! here....... have a very strong tea with sugar .... you must still be in shock!! That must be your lot now surely?!

Delboy - I am with you with that sentiment :x :x :x :x :x :x :x but I do hope that you (and I ) get to feeling more positive soon.

Sorry to hear about the hole-in-the-wall drama ....... I know the feeling money seems to slip our of our fingers in a **** this month rather than a trickle. Try not to worry too much though.

To those of you who are feeling not on top of the world here's a big (((((((((()))))))))) ((((((((((((()))))))))))))))) (((((((((((((())))))))))))))) for you all

littlelegs sends slurps, but is unable to come to look after you as she is heavily in demand here ..... scaring off Christmas with her friend :lol: if you see it running away with two hounds in persuit you will know who is to blame eh?:lol::lol:

    Hi everyone

Dark already again - roll on Spring (and warmer weather!!!). Hope everyone has had a decent day with plenty of buildres' brews and the odd cake or treat ;-)

Cris did the tree get decorated all OK?! I must find mine in the cupboards and try and get it erected (ooo-err) as a surprise for OH when he gets back from working in Wales tomorrow. The cats will help with the decorating no doubt!

Knee behaving a bit better today - did some time at the gym yesterday and that always cheers me up. I had a go on their Power Plate machine - never bothered before as I was always pounding some stupid treadmill (poor poor knees) but I now need to be careful. The Power Plate vibrates like a giant goodness knows what - if I had false teeth they'd have been on the floor! I shall give it a go though, there are only so many upper body weight lifts a girl can do lying on the bench... :D

The other day at church the organist asked the ladies in the kitchen if they had a long stick as he had 'lost' something between the organ peddles.

a long time later he came back, having been observed having a long struggle to locate and free the missing object.

The enquired what it was he had lost. The answer .... his false teeth    :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

they just couldn't work out how he managed that!

Hi Skezier, Annie, Wonky, uncle tom cobley and all. Hugs to you all. Thanks for your good wishes Skezier. Hope you are all having a good day. Have we heard from Trisha yet?

Firstly girls and boys, I have lost 6lbs. and I am 5 cms thinner round the waist. Bought some jeans the other week which were nice and tapered. Such a job getting trousers that look stylish.
Went shopping afterwards and I was so good. Walked the entire Christmas chocolate's isle without picking up any. And then the biscuits, you know what lovely biscuits you get at Christmas. Well I walked past them aswell. I didn't even buy any for the OH. When Joy is dieting, everyone else does aswell.
We are now going to get ready to go away for a few days to Norfolk and seeing the Christmas Spectacular at Thursford on Thurs night. Then we hang around for a couple of days coming home on Sun.

Catch up with you all when I get back.

    Joy

    Evening everyone c045.gif

Am so relieved to see it has been busy in here today. Was worried that so many of you lovely people were feeling too down to call in.
Please all do keep popping in, we can only send buckets of hugs when we know you are down and hurting and tho' they don't practically help I hope it helps to know that others really do care. xxx d050.gif

Joy You can be proud of your football team, they did so well to go to extra time and the score was sadly misleading. I heard it on radio Northampton. (ain't this internet thingy good) Hope you enjoy your trip.
Debs, so sorry you are feeling so low and the pain clinic appointment making things worse. So annoying for you. xxx
Nina nice to see you in here, guess you must have heard about the fires!
Jan, poor you the cash flowing one way only, I do sympathise and know just how tough it can be. xxx
Wonky really pleased you called in again today and told the saga of the false teeth  Hang in there, I think the phrase is baby steps eh? xxx
Toni Hope your sis enjoyed her visit, is she still with you? Love to Daisy.
Cris I am so sorry your tv gave you more drama than you needed  xxx You so didn't need that on top of everything else, so glad you and the family were all safe. Dipstick is very welcome, I would like the company and can practise my cat whispering. You know the one looking them in the eye and blinking slowly!
Hi also to the Joans and Annie, hope your day going ok. Delboy hang in there, I hope tomorrow is a better day.
    Take care everyone
I'll grab a bacon butty with my tea today c070.gif

    Evening all :!: :!:

I shouldn't be eating anything because I had a great lunch out today with the committee from my charity fundraising group. Ten ladies :!: :!: OOh , Rehab, you would have loved it :!:  We did make rather a lot of noise though :!:

I had sea bass for main course ( very good ) followed by hot black cherries in Kirsh with ice cream and cream. Yummy :!: :!:

Just a cup of lemon tea now. Sorry to be a bit posh, Rehab :!:

Hi to all, Jan, Joan, Joan, Cris, Toni, Lottie, Wonky, Joy and Chris!
.......and if I've missed anyone out, sorry, but my brain went numb at that point.

Jan, know so well about the Christmas money thing, so hope the job is perfect and you get it!
Cris, what will you get up to next? Lakes, mudslides, elephant pits and now tv's on fire.............2010 can only get better........I hope!
Wonky, loved the lost false teeth in the organ.....was he pulling out all the stops, by any chance? (groan)
Joy, if you are still around have a lovely weekend.

While I'm trying to remember the rest, I'll have a builders and a slice of coffee cake. I've got my Rheumy appointment tomorrow and I'm getting jumpy, which is an improvement on the last one, I worried for weeks about it! I might even find out what I've got - but I'm not holding my breath on that .......

Thanks, Debs. Don't worry, I will file a blow by blow account! I'm quite prepared for anything from RA to the Plague but I'll probably end up no wiser than I am now.
Think I'll have another slice of cake.......delicious.........I've got two work lunches and an evening party next week, don't think I will make them all! If I did, I'd be soooooo full!

Hello Annie, Jan Joan 1 Joan 2 Cris and Chris, Minky67, rehab, Rob1 and Mel.
Just popped in to see if there is any news about Trisha. Thanks Annie.
Sounds like you had a good time Joan. Hope you had time to get the business done.
We have had another 6 entries for our Stilton Cheese Run next year on April 26th We need to try and beat our £500 donation to Air Ambulance. What do you drive boys?
Have completed a huge pile of ironing. I've packed, not that I need much. I think I am now going to get to bed, try and catch up on some sleep.
Why is it that I have to try and do a weeks housework in one day. I have to leave the house spotless and tidy when I go away.
My daughter has rung up and confirmed that they will definitely come up on 27th Dec. There was just a little doubt because they will be driving up from Essex. It doesn't happen often for me but to have both my son and daughter here together with all the grandchildren My OH is already quaking in his shoes because he calls them termites. When they come, things get moved or broken.

I really am in shock now :lol::lol:

I would like to echo what Joy said and ask has anyone news of Trish?

    Hi Annie,

I hope 2010 will be better but wont tempt fate on that one.......... e are meant to have at least 3 dry days :D I hope you have the same and your river goes down a fair bit for you soon. x

    Hi Chris,

Dipstick said he likes playing cat whispering so he'll play with you on that one. Have you ever got one to wink? I often do nose rubbing with my wilder ones and they are better with heads than hands..... I do have a couple of scars and scratches though when its all gone wrong  Hope you get a god night? x

    Hi Toni and Lottie,

Didn't get the tree done but will tomorrow after the sale........ I sort of lost it re the phobia and was convinced there were rats in the box the lights are in  I know there aren't but well thats what phobias do eh?! Have gt 7 sets but couldn't bring my self to get the other box today........ sad eh?! xx

    Hi Wonky,

Just popping in for a last brew c060.gif

Joan has got me craving cherries, that lunch sounded lovely.
    e020.gif

Hugs to you too Wonky hope you have a good day tomorrow, take care love.

Annie hope your Rheumy appointment goes ok and is not as scarey as you imagined. Sleep well if you can and let us know how it goes.

Debs, you are right the winter blues are all around with the cold, dark days and pressure to make Christmas perfect! It rarely is, but I am sure we will all try very hard to enjoy the good bits, and chuck out the complications, and upsets with the wrapping paper. Take care of yourself amidst the chaos please. You too Ange and Jan.

Joy you are always so busy, good for you. Well done on the weight loss.

Cris Really hope you have a good sale tomorrow and that you are now getting a decent rest. Dry weather is certainly a shock to your system  I do hope it stays dry and is a turning point for you. Never tried the cat wink thing, but did hypnotize mine by laying 'em on their backs in the cruck of my arm. Mind you mine were all tame and trained from an early age not to jump in the litter bit or climb the curtains, unlike your challenges! Oh I do wish I could get another kitty. Maybe next year.

Hope Val is feeling Ok and is soon back with us in here. Am sure Annie will let us know when she hears from Trish, we are missing you Trish and I am kinda hoping you are feeling well enough to be bored without your lappie. I hope that makes sense?

I'll leave the breakfast pan out for delboy and any other early visitors. Buckest of energy are next to the cooker keeping warm.
    take care all
