I made some more spicey chicken coujons and potatoe scallops..Lovely, I'm chuffed with myself as I've now got it spot on..

Had to take some round to the neighbours as we couldn't eat them all, its amazing how many you get from two fillets and a few small spuds...

Del, hope you're doing good tonight?

I use unsweetened cocoa powder - same dog etc etc etc. Never thought of celery tho - that could work well.

I love tarragon, it's one of the most aromatic of herbs, I think. I use it in my leek and potato soup (which also has onion and parsnip luzzed in). Scrummy. DD

Mash is so much more than white potato with a bit of milk and butter etc. Sweet pots are gorgeous and I love parsnip mash. I think there is a big difference between us del (apart from the obvious) - you actually LIKE cooking. DD

Tonight will be a curry - a very, very mild curry given the distressing events of the past week. Tomorrow, seared tuna with mange tout, red chilli, spring onion and noodles with a splash of soy and fish sauce (Mr DD cheffing). DD

Jacket spud with something or other Val..?

I hate saying this but I do mine in the microwave (like some kind of kitchen heathen) for about 8 mins then finish it in the oven... Takes way too long in the oven alone..

microwave jacket spuds are a regular in this house. I have no patience to finish them in the oven.

Chilli bangers, potato and parsnip mash, carrots and steamed broccoli, followed by two clementines each (they are not very big). Tomorrow night = no cooking as Mr DD has a meeting - result! DD

all this food talk is making me hungry!

My husband has high blood pressure so we have to 'eat healthily' which is just pants. however, he's working a late shift this week so me and the kiddies are having a big steak, jacket potato (again started in the microwave and finished in the oven) and salad.

My son had just told me there are only 3 biscuits left in the house so i'm off to get mine quick.
