Yesterday did a roast chicken seasoned with paprika, salt and black peper, with home made stuffing. Mashed pots (using my ricer thingy, just makes the smoothest mash.) marrow fat peas and gravy. All plates 7 plates cleared.
Tonight stir fried pork with rice and home made pizza for the fussy eaters of the house. (and salad.)

Well the fussy eaters had the same as us tonight...couldn't be bothered and bugger me if they did not eat it. Only feed 5 tonight.

It was OK - the French won but as for the England match it depends on which France turns up. I can understand the Ashton exuberance but the arrogance strikes a duff note - to my mind anyway.

Right, tonight's menu is unsmoked haddock risotto. Scrummy ('cos I ain't cooking). DD

Due to my illness Mr DD is cheffing tonight - result! (I did offer, but not with much enthusiasm.) He has his Chinese cook book out and some chicken thawing on the side - so some form of Chinese chicken must be in the offing. Yippee! DD

I have been very busy today - cooking to stock up my freezer. As I live alone it is pointless making a meal for one so I make a lot and freeze it. Today I have made Stew, Chicken Curry, and a blended vegetable soup. I have also made Meat and potato ready for pies and made bolognaise ( I use it with pasta and Jacket potatoes) and a shepherds pie. It works out a lot cheaper and this way I always have something in.
But tomorrow its Sunday Roast (dont do a joint) either chops or chicken breast or steaks - I love a proper sunday dinner.

Last night was re-heated ratatouille with wholewheat pasta, followed by hula hoops. Tonight will be a curry (delivered) round at our friends' house. Prawn dansak, plain boiled rice, spicy puppadoms and a couple of onion bhajis (bajhis? bahjis? Can't spell 'em but I love 'em) Look out! DD
