    :D Inbetween the showers today I was able to fill our large green wheelie bin with the last section of a huge honeysuckle shrub that we inherited when we moved into our home 25 years ago so goodness know how old it was. I was able to salvage three quite long new shoots growing from the main shrub so hopefully it will start all over again. It stays green all year and the scent from the flowers is out of this world so I do hope it survives. :)

    Someone whom I know and have been supporting over the past few months, has just phoned to say that she does not have to have 2 further chemo sessions after the result of the latest scan. I am elated and so happy for her and her OH. :D:D This news has made my weekend perfect.

    highlight of my day.. well its 12am and I have to go pick my partner up from a nite out in tenby, wonder wot state they;ll be in..lol.!! :roll: :o:lol: !

    However I don't mind as my partner derseves a good nite out, been my rock this week since I found out I have arthritis :mrgreen: !

    We have been given loads of beautiful plums, you are welcome to a huge bowlful and some french green beans, should you wish. :D Gave one neighbour a butternut squash the other day and the neighbour the other side is partial to cucumbers so gave her a couple to be getting on with :wink::lol::lol:

    Elna please don't talk about plums I ate the last one and I really fancy some more but will have to wait until tomorrow unless I can pop round for some. :D

    The highlight of my day has been my grandson who phined us a while ago we had a long natter and he told us he was missing us already.

    He wanted to know what we were doing and what have we do with his toys.

    It is the longest chat ever. He generally says it is me then bye but he just wanted to talk about everything. He was talking to us for an hour. It was the best phone call I have ever had.

    We talked about his birthday and Christmas he said he would write out a list after his birthday.

    DIL has always made him calendars with the days so everynight before bed he crosses off a day. It has helped him understand how long it was before he came over this last trip. Now he is doing his Christmas holiday one.

    Aw Trish, how wonderful. :) You must have been and are on cloud nine after that phone call. Bless. He surely loves you to bits as I know you do him too. Thank you for telling us all. :)

    Starting to read through some letters written by my mum to my Gran when I was 4 - 6 years old. :)(That was a long time ago) :lol: My two brothers are mentioned as well. :)

    :D The sunshine, baking done, washing basket empty, a productive phone call with GP, had a great weekend, doing nothing in particular and will be looking after little Lola tomorrow afternoon. :D:D

    Reading in an article my SIL sent me from the Daily Mail on Tuesday that the surgeon who performed my TKR's was voted as one of the best surgeons to pick for your knee op. I, for one, can never thank him enough. :D
