Hi Speedalong, I know you won't be reading this but I just want to say that I hope it all went well yesterday and that you are in the process of making a good recovery. I thought of you lots and I hope you are feelig tolerably well and not too sore! Behave in hospital, do your exercises and get back to us soon. We miss you. Dreamdaisy

Hello Speedalong! It's Friday the fourteenth and I sit here tapping away at my keyboard, merrily munching a packet of peanut M&Ms. Diet? What diet? Life's too short and I needed some breakfast so I can do my pills. Hope you are feeling OK, resting in a miasma of baby talc. Take care. DD

    Hi speedalong :D

hope all has gone well with your op and that you are making a good recovery.

I can imagine they'll have had to tie you to the bed to stop you continuing your pre-op 'super-cleaning mode' ; washing floors and dusting the ward.:lol:

Rest up and do all the exercises they give you.

Isn't it great the op is now behind you?

much love and gentle (((hugs))) for you and S.

    Hello my lovely cyber friends!!!

I'm mailing from hospital!I have internet on my TV! It is v antiquated & only works sometimes...

I have a resurfaced hip! i shuffled to my chair on thurs & did 2 short walks Fri :D which felt GREAT!

Unfort leg length discrepancy slightly worse now, hoping can get away with insoles still ... i dont want a built up shoe - no offence to anyone who wears one.

I have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.

No, Speedy, I firmly believe that a lot of what you fancy does you good! I am so please you are up and about! What a wondrous thing modern medicine is - for all we gripe and moan think how bad it would have been 100 years ago. Continue the good recovery please, you need to get home as soon as possible so that you can begin to feel truly better - hospitals are not the best places for a rapid recovery! Take care, DD
