I am so pleased that you are on your way home and that a little has shifted for you - that will help!

I'm sorry to hear of the migraine tho - how miserable. Are you prone to them, or was it the culmination of a tough few days? Anyhoo, you're going home! Yippee! Dreamdaisy

So nice to have you home again. Sorry to read about the awful migraine you suffered. It must be due to the meds. I had a similar thing day 5 or 6. I just woke up with this awful spinning head and knew I was going to be sick. I was scared and crying like a baby and totally disorientated.I was sick over and over again. Thankfully it didnt last as long as you poor thing.

I expect your son is so excited to have things back to normal(well a bit more normal than the past week).

Take care of yourself and enjoy the new hip!

    Hi Speedy,

Hey anesthetics produce migraines and in my case bad vertigo so added to the stress its not too surprising. A ((( ))) and a hope now your home (you are aren't you?) that it all gets better for you and you have a speedy recovery.

Hi my fab cyber friends I AM HOME!!!

Came home by ambulance ... nearly delayed with ward mix up over dressings to take home ... once home realised not been sent home with all meds .. so shall have to badger GP in the morning. At least now at home I'm in charge again!!

Once home didn't know what to do with myself!! Then a friend arrived to help me unpack. OT's never showed ... but a nurse rang to say she is coming tomorrow - to do an assessment???

Friend left and shortly after one of the two friends looking after S came shortly followed by S - BIG SMILES.

Am currently resting leg upstairs, cuddling cat and on my beloved laptop. S and friend are downstairs cooking dinner together. My mouth is watering ... you don't smell food cooking when you are in hospital.

IT IS SO GOOD TO BE HOME!!!!

    speedalong

Oh yeah - leg is ok, can walk on crutches and have gone upstairs twice so far and into garden fine. A nice quiet house to sleep in will be a novelty!!

    Hi L,

already done more walking since home than ever did in boring old hospital. Because friends did all chores and S duties and I have just done "me" things - that has given me rest periods this evening. Will have to pace myself once doing everything. Once S is back at school - breaks up tomorrow for 2 weeks ... I will aim to have a siesta each afternoon before he comes home.

Just spent 10 mins trying to pick *!*!* grabber off floor with my crutches because everyone in bed but me. In hospital had everything tied to bed rails so easy to retrieve (I begged bandages off the nurses!!!)

Right going to catch up on some of the other threads.

So pleased to have you home Speedy. I still have that problem with the grabby stick, it is never where I want or need it. The children think it is a toy and invariably leave on the floor so I cant reach it!
