Morning jaspercat, I hope you slept well (difficult in hospital, In know) and that the crutches turn up today. I am not crossing my fingers (that seems to put the kybosh on everything for everyone) so hopefully this new strategy will pay off! DD

    Hi Kim,

So sorry you are being so neglected. I am also 5'2 and didn't have to wait for mine. Are you able to use a frame ?
Can the Relly's bring in some food for you or pop down to the cafe to buy you something.
You are in the wrong hospital Kim. I put on half a stone when I had my THR!
    Best wishes for freedom soon.

They did move me to a bedroom with 3 confused old ladies, so I threatened to self discharge love to you all jaspercatxx

    Hi Kim,

good for you asserting yourself and getting a single room :D the last thing you needed was to be sharing with 3 elderly confused ladies... lovely though they are, it would have meant no rest at all for you!

glad you're making progress with walking... and I'm really hoping that you get your crutches soon so's you can get home.

    thinking of you

Yes a single room must make you feel better, having a bit of privacy when you'r in hospital makes a huge difference.

I can't believe these crutches, I could have knitted you a pair by now! Loads of love Sue xxxx(((((())))

    Hi Jasper,

I am so sorry things are going so slowly for you. Can your medical practice put some pressure on to get you the crutches? At least you are getting some exercises which will help to get you more mobile. I’m glad you have a room of your own.

    Hi Jasper,

I am so disappointed for you having to wait until the 25th. What a nightmare you are having there. Things should not be like that on wards these days. Good job you can get out for cream teas. Wrap up warm as the weather is certainly changing for the worst. :(
