Bless you DD, Toni, Pennie, Iris, Elizabeth and Cris.
Had a lovely restful day here and feeling much better after my wobble. It is so confusing to get these ups and downs and not know how to deal with them, but we are all in the same boat and thanks for understanding that. :?
Toni, have a good time with Cris I know you are already laden with real hugs for her but please give her some from me, and to you too. (((( ))))
Pennie thanks for posting I am the worlds biggest wimp but mentally I am prepared for any op, I trust my Consultant, it is the recovery time on my own and getting back to work that is the real worry. Which is why I keep going hot and cold and driving myself nuts. I see him on 24th Nov and will take his advise if he thinks it is time.
Iris hope you are doing ok there at the moment and that Wally and the knees are being kind to you. Thank you for the link I have taken courage from the line which says note "the help you require rather than the help you get" which is so relevant to me.
Elizabeth, hope you hanging in there lass and yipee was so pleased for Beth in the gymnastist too. I know it is not for everyone who posts here but you have no idea how much I would love to go to the Olympics. I am chuffed to little mintballls that we are hosting it.
Thanks again to you all for getting me through this latest wobble.
love and sincere thanks, plus whatever sweeties you fancy to you all.

Hi Wonky
You sneaked in there lass while I was posting. Am sure the shop will be busy tomorrow but at least I am getting some help on the first floor I usually manage on my own now we are busy for Christmas so hope it will be fine. I do like my one day a week when I get to use my brain and speak to people I can help.
Hope your plan still on track and that you have a good day tomorrow.
love

hi Chris just thought I would send you some gentle hugs, you are getting spoilt with all these hugs coming your way, I get DLA for my health problems along with my OA apparently I have multiple arthritis sero negative and inflamatory type arther basically xrays showed practicly all of my joints are affected some quite bad, I'm going to have a TWR on 2nd Nov had an arthscopy think thats how it is spelt in may anyway a camera in the joint showed serious damage, and am having it out , bit scared but also looking forward to being pain free from it , please do make sure you do your DLA forms, I cannot work again too many health problems and I use my DLA to help me cope and treat myself to books etc, I also know my hip and knee will need doing in the not too distant future and when you have yours done i can learn from what you and of course everyone elses experience, be strong and be positive0

Hi Lavenderlady
Bless you for calling in here when you have so much going on there yourself. I really do appreciate the fact that I do still manage to work part time when I know so many using this forum can't and would like to. I guess we are all getting used to our own limitations as they come along as frustating as that is, and you are right I have already had so much helpful advise from the people here who have been through similar experiences and come out the other side. Hope all goes well for you on the 2nd. I am sure our dear Iris will already have give you practical support and do post nearer the time so we can send you moral support.
I hope your tomorrow is a good one
take care

Wobbles are unsettling, no matter how many one has! Rule number 1. Come and tell us. Rule number 2. Come and tell us. Rule number 3. Come and tell us. Rule number 4. Be extra kind to oneself until it passes. You may be on your own, but you are not facing things alone. I hope you have a reasonable day today. Take care. DD ((()))Have you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Hi Chris,
Hope today was not as bad as you thought. I expect things are picking up with the Xmas sales. Do they get extra staff in for the run up to the Christmas?
Have a peaceful night and do go on Thursday.

Chris
I have been saying to peeps I worry aboout you and I hope you are ok. for a long time Chris, you know who I would ask and who I would say I'm so worried about you.
I have been unwell, for a while now Chris but I still miss you, you know all that as well. We go back a fair bit don't we??
Do you still remember that night in Hawaii when I was so worried you were going onn a blind date and I was worried the Vocano might have popped it's cork and what you might look like ????
You know I have always worried about you.
I'm sorry you are still going through all this still.
Chris your sister has a hubby and threee daughters to help their mum. There is not a lot you can do in the situation you ae in can you if you were giving me this advice this is what you would sayl.
Chris, the only input I can give is to speak to someone. Have you been to the CAB to find out what your position is and what help can you expect.
Are you up to writing to your MP and finding out what would happen.
Chris, they will help you there must be something in place that you will be able to claim.
What about incapacity Benefit? I know they are saying a lot are being thrown off it. But those that were really needing the help would get it. I'm sure your Consultant would insist you were on it and if you ask he may write a letter for you my friend.
You do need to talk Cris, I know you are exhausted when you get home. But can you type a little each night just a line or two?
Let us know you are ok. In my own opinion you should not be at work now. I know why you cannot take that as an option. I wish you would. But I know why we went through that last year didn't we?
I'll tell you what I will do to try and help you out. When this chest infection has gone off a bit I will ring up my local Benefit office and say I want to know what position I'm in and see what they say.
I wont' give your name nor where you work just ask about the benefits now I will then send you a PM Or an Email. I know about the stairs and everything.
If I'm repeating what anyone else has suggedted perhaps they can let me know.
Chris, you need to talk to people we don't mind listening you should kknow I would not don't you? I was here with you from day 1.
I'm sending lots and lots of hugs to you and maybe we can all help you but try to post to let us know.
Love Trish ((((((((((((())))))))))) Those bear hugs remember????0 -

There is a law out about how much you should becarrying in weight.
You should not be carrying over a certain amount. I know how your boss is and he does not care what you ladies do.
If one of you got hurt he would be in a lot off trouble. If he takes on some of the othe factory's workers they might be more out spoken. I hope for your sake this happens.
Love Trish xxxxx0 -
Hi Chris,
I hope it wasn't too bad for you today? Sending a cuppa, a whole load of hugs, slurps, baaas meows and clucks oh and quacks and neighs... well it is a full moon......
Leaving you some cream and some saffron as well as a bit of hevva which Toni will have to eat juts to prove it exists Love Cris xxx0 -
Hi Cris, DD, Ironic, Annie, Trish and Barbara
Sorry am a bit late checking in today, but thanks for calling in today was okish and with the kind support from you all recently I am in much better place.
DD I do so hate these wobbles but I really hope I am doing the two steps forward to the one back so there is progress.
Ironic yes the shop mad busy now with Christmas shoppers, we are the only bookshop in town and have such wonderful helpful staff who could resist us? The only snag today was that one of the young 'uns with no work ethic who probably had a skinful at some party last night phoned in sick so guess who had to work the first floor on their own. :x I do so love to see people spending on books.
Annie thanks for the hugs and thoughts I am in a better frame of mind now and currently on the two steps forward.
Trish oh lovey please try not to worry about us all so much just get yourself better soon. (((( ))))) You know how we worry when you are poorly, I will be ok, I have already been to CAB and will follow up with things soon. I am so grateful for all the kindness it really does mean such alot.
Barbara hope you ok there lass? and survive half term though I know the children are good. You take care.
Cris Thanks for the pm yes flower we must both try to ask for and accept help I think. Doesn't come easy I know but you certainly deserve better. No rain here but still too cold for me. Will skip over to your post now but hang in there.
thanks again and sincere hugs to you all who have posted here. Today has been a good day and tomorrow can take care of itself. ((((( )))))
love

I hope things are better now, I haven't read the whole but I'm in a similar situation right now...can't go back to school without money but can't make money without schooling...and can't work at the same time as I study as it would too many things to juggle at once with arthur on top of it all...0

Evening Chris!
Just bumping up some more ((hugs)) for you & hoping today was ok at work?
Is it a large chain bookstore you work in or a small local one? Hope your help was back in today or are they just weekend staff?
Let us all know how you are this evening, hon?

Hi Chris,
I know your not too able after the day you probably had but hope you call in to see this..... (((((((((((((((((((( )))))))))))))))))))) and yep i forgot to make her eat hevva...... you want some?! Put a bit of cream on it and its (for me) the best comfort food out there
I really hope you had a decentish day and soon be duvet day. Love Cris xxx0 -
Chris
Thanks for the PM I really appreciated it.
You know I'm with you every step you take, you also know I care a lot about you.
When you get the time just update me so I know you are ok.
There are lots of us that care about you and care about what you are going through too.
If you have the op you might be a different person, maybe no pain you could then look for a better job and tell your boss where he can stick his humbugs.
Love Trish xxxxx0 -
hi Chris, good to hear you are going to give the DLA another go. It is hard to admit you need the help but you will be relieved when you have done it. I've had to ask for some more help too and am beating myself up about it. Why are we all so hard on ourselves? I think I don't deserve it. But I do and so do you!
love S0 -
Evening lovely people
Hi Sunnyhours sorry you have the same having to "pace yourself" dilemma there it is easy to say but not so hard to do eh? :?
Sally the bookshop is usually okish and so much more rewarding than packing fudge!! but the Christmas rush is hard work even with extra staff as so much extra stock to cart about and sell sell sell.
DD Hope you doing okish at the moment and fitting in some "you" time when you can.
Pennie Sorry my jobs are confusing, I work for what I will call wetpebbles on Sundays only, so yes a big chain. The Mon to Wed bit in what I call Wonka's a sweet factory which is not very arther friendly to put it mildly. Hope you doing ok there?
Cris. What no hevva?? how very dare you. Hope you are hanging in there flower. (((( ))))) Not too bad a day today though the energy supplies ebbing a bit and I did a bit of armchairing earlier which I hadn't planned.
Trish Oh how I would love to tell him where to stick his humbugs somtimes but today was okish. The new people start work with us next week and I am looking forward to them shaking things up a bit. Hope your chest a bit easier lovey. ((((( )))))
Hope you are all as wellish as you can be. Will try and have a quick roam round the halls now.
take care, sleep well if you can
love and thanks
Chris xx0 -

Hell of a lot going on for you and what a lovely bunch on here full of ideas and support.
I feel guilty as I have had a lovely time - visiting Cris and all the gang which was loverly A bit like coming home and now I am back in staffordshire and it's raining....and raining.....
