thank you for sorting the trolley Val, hugs to one and all. I have shirked my duties I am afraid, these past weeks, up, down, pain to beat the band - but, it is high time I unlocked the trolley and stocked up on the medicines. I have changed the lock, to a voice activated one, so it knows who you are, no, you cannot fool it by speaking in squeaky or gruff tones, it won't work.

Those pancakes sound good, I must admit, many moons ago, after flying to LA, the morning after, two of us ordered pancakes, with syrup. Well, it was obscene to say the least, the plate was huge and the mountain of pancakes was overwhelming, along side a huge pitcher of maple syrup. I ate what I could, before I reached bursting point. Your coffee cup was never empty, you could look away, look down and it was full to the top again, like where did that come from? I swear I nearly floated out, on a total sugar rush and shaking from too much coffee. Welcome to the US of A. Loved it. 8)

I think I have sorted the trolley, if you shout "Cake, I must have cake", it should work fine, that goes for anyone popping in for a morsel or a little something from the trolley.
It is super windy, have put a draught excluder by the door, some more logs on the fire, tucked marigold in with extra hay, cuddles is in her igloo bed and yack has hair like Cousin IT, with all the wind.

Hello I am new to the forum, and I have just found Val's Cafe.
So I thought I would pop in for a coffee and a chat.
I have read some of the last posts that mentioned Maple Syrup.
I see there is a few Yuk out there, well I used to be exactly the same, and then my daughter came home from Brussels and she was taking it.
I asked a few questions and she eventually sent me this back when she got home.
I have been on it ever since and I do feel great, but not sure if this is the reason why, but it seems to work for me.
I just have 2 dessert spoonfuls on my oats or shredded wheat.
I am sorry I haven't a link, but I shall post the reason I take it.
Please be patient and read it, it could help you, I don't really taste it much when taken the way I do.
This is 100% pure maple syrup I am talking about, and not the stuff the put on Ice creams etc.
One other thing it is very expensive, I pay £7 for 2 pints, but it goes a long way.
    I hope it helps.
Just a a footnote I am a chronic RA suffer with Felty's Syndrome, I will gladly chat about it to anyone, maybe I can help them and vise versa.

I apologise for that, can I Edit now, or perhaps a mod can remove it.
That came to me via an email so I didn't know the link.
I thought it was a bit long, but it was the only way I could let folks know, you did well to find the link.
    Thank you again and sorry

No worries, Arfa, the mods will be able to sort it for you. I just thought I had better let you know.:smile: Hope you did not mind.
I googled Health Benefits of Maple Syrup and there it was, so it was no trouble.

Hi Arfa, welcome, glad to hear that the golden maple syrup works for you, I can eat it by the shovel full, with just a couple of oat flakes in.

Cuddles has had another fuss and is by the fire, it is dropping cold now. Lights on, all pets safe and sound. Tea in the pots, of differing qualities, ie Tetley and PG. Hope everyone is as ok as possible and taking lots of care. Time for my early evening nap, pills are sending me to zzzzz XXX Bubbles
