Wonderful, no wind, no rain, a bit of respite from bad weather.

I'm glad your boiler will soon get fixed Joan. I've never heard of calcifications in a boiler before :?

Happy Birthday for Thursday for your niece Barbara - oh to be 30 again. But then again no, I've just remembered all I've been through since then. :o

Everyone's comments about Sundays made me think of that old Tony Hancock program about it. Or am I the only one old enough to remember Tony Hancock.

Toady, your instructions were great. I've just got to get myself a photo bucket account. I love any doughnuts, although the custard or apple ones are probably my favourites.

Sending you all hugs and hoping all are relatively pain free.

    Kath xx

OK, so I've signed up to Photobucket. Put my photo on there, resized it, followed Toady's instructions - but it hasn't worked

I don't know what I did wrong, I tried it on a different forum that works the same way. It didn't work there either. Just call me Dumbo

edited to remove the duplicate photo code, because there's no space in the code the forum either has to scroll to read this and all other posts on this page or the typeface becomes smaller as in this case :P

Barbara, I often take things out of the wardrobe, put them all on the bed and go for a break. Come bedtime, it's all still there so I throw it all back in. I was determined to get it done straight away this time. I'll have a tiny piece of cheesecake with a cuppa. Hope your OH managed to get some work done in the garden tomorrow. We are probably getting rain, sleet and possibly snow after such a beautiful sunny day today.

Hope you are feeling better now Marrianne.

It's good that your boiler is at least working Joan. It'll be better once it's fixed though. Hope you enjoyed your swim.

Kath I remember my mum and dad watching Tony Hancock but all I can remember is when he stood half behind the mirror and lifted one leg and one arm and it looked like he was lifting both. Your picture is there now. Hello.

Finished work at lunchtime and had a slow walk home as it was almost warm with lovely blue skies and the sun shining. After lunch, I had a slow walk back down the hill to the dentist and back again. Didn't want to go home straight away but it was starting to get cold coming up to teatime. Dare I say, it felt like (whispers) spring.

Hi all, a late visit - good job the lights are on in here or I might trip over Cuddles - who is looking very happy & well-fed I must say

*waves to Kath* :D nice to see you there - I am not quite sure where your extra bit of code is from, but you're on the right lines, a couple of hours from creating a new account to getting a picture on here is very good going. Took me longer than that when I started messing around with this sort of thing (back in my early eb*y days). I have added you to the doughnut list.

I remember the Hancock episode too, long time since I've seen any on though, but oddly enough they were talking about it on the radio the other day about boredom - very good he was - are you thinking of Harry Worth applerose, or did Hancock do that as well..

Marrianne, sorry you have had an off weekend :( hope to see you feeling brighter in here tomorrow, sending you a good night.. smiley_aafa.gif

well done to you with your tidying Applerose, I bet you don't have any 30-year old garments in your wardrobe do you  putting stuff out on the bed to tidy sometimes works for me because I know I'll have to do something about, but sometimes it's as you say and it gets late & things just get chucked aside instead. Glad you had a nice walk.. won't it be good when there are more days when going out is actually more appealing assuming one feels like it.

'night to barbara and dachshund too

barbara it's years since I had cheesecake for no particular reason, so I'll try some especially as you've made it. :)

    Hi Everyone,

Our internet connection has been down again, so I seem to have fallen behind with all the news. Hope everyone is as well as possible - and keeping dry.
MrO, know you are in the flood zone, so hope you haven't been flooded, and also your son. Feel so sad for those who have.

Barbara, I can never resist a slice of cheesecake - thanks :)

Right, I will read back and see what's been happening :)

Well I'm glad I didn't scare you all away  that photo was taken a few weeks ago. I've had a hair cut since then.

It has been raining most of the day, with a bit of snow too. But now the sun is shining. I've been watching a blackbird keep coming down to the bird feeders and eating the fat sprinkles OH put out for them. A few great tits too.

I'm glad you got your internet connection back catie. It's awful not to be able to keep up with the news and gossip.

Marrianne, I love kippers. Years ago when pregnant with my 4th, I did myself curried kippers - now THAT was a mistake

Thanks mig, no excuse for not recognising me now if we are ever at the clinic together. Mmmmm, stew and dumplings. The ideal meal for this weather. :)

Whoops, one of my FB friends is calling me. Sorry for not mentioning everyone. Sending hugs.

    Kath xx

Hi all, I'm afraid I've been a let-down in the doughnuts department :( I cried off & moved my bloods appt, have been a bit flarey & didn't really want to go out if possible. Bit grumpy as knowing me once I start to flare I historically don't really settle again & really don't want any more med changes. So I'm going to sit tight for a while but not feeling very confident (perhaps MrO will lend me some optimism). If I'm only in & out the next few days, I'm probably alternately grumbling & panicking slightly in a corner so I'm not far away.

Anyway I have chocolate cake if that will do (already here from recent online grocery shop, not old & stale honest) , you have probably had enough sugar barbara :)

Marrianne I did not even listen to the story about the giraffe I knew it would make me too angry but what I heard was bad enough. :( I hate people (present company excepted). But your kipper sandwich post made me laugh thank you it was so unexpected.

Best to all, going to put knees up/ice pack/sulk. xx

    Morning all

I know I know, it's very early. Not been to sleep yet. Having bad problems with shoulder and pain going down my arm.

Kathleen that is a lovely picture of yourself. You do look a very kind and gentle person.

And Mig, it's lovely to see you too. It's always nice to put a face to the name.

Getting my hair cut on Friday, thank goodness, it really needs it.

I do hope everyone is well in the land of slumber and everyone have a good day without to much pain.

Sending you all loads of hugs.
