Kath :( oh bum :( that was a tough appointment. All the v best for the 3 sessions next week, may have to tag along in spirit with a flask of coffee & some long riveting anecdotes to pass the time. ('Riveting' may be an exaggeration.) Not surprised you feel off par, hope you have been able to re-jig the oncologist for not too far off where you would want. Plenty of cake, bought a Yule Log today which is best before 13 Oct :? I am seriously thinking of passing it round, wishing everyone a merry xmas, and then that's me done for this year. Would be nice!

Hope your Dad does not have to wait too long for a bed, applerose, and that the move goes smoothly, hope it is a better environment for him there, less disruption.
I have had more problems with plumbing than anything else put together, water is just so.. watery.. isn't it so you can't walk off and leave a half-finished job like you can other sorts. As for drips & leaks they have caused me some very bad-tempered moments.

Are you looking for a new laptop in earnest then barbara.. that is what I did, work out what I needed and try & narrow it down.. also as long as I didn't spend much I thought I can always sell back if I wasn't happy with something about it I hadn't got right when choosing. Would you think of a replacement of the same model. There are so many aren't there.. too many.

Coffee cremes have been popular so I will remember that in future :D I am going to have an egg custard tart myself. With tea, of course.

Hello to anyone reading, & TK if she is around & calls in.. no joan today, hope things are well.. night xx

Christine this sort of half way house is good for your dad..dont think they have been doing this long it means they can make sure he is good to go home..much better than just discharging him ..hope you can sort it our between you .I do love Cilla... :) that was my era.. :)

Afternoon all, no it's not Dixon of Dock Green here, just me. I've got my head around things now, so not feeling so stressed. It wasn't the treatment that bothered me, it was the Vasculitis diagnosis - found that a bit worrying. I've managed to rejig my oncology appointment and I also have the follow up appointment for after the infusions.

Mig, Good thoughts are most appreciated, hope the anti TNFs are working for you. Dr P told me I couldn't have those because of Bronchiectasis. :?

Toady, oh yes please, tag along in spirit with whatever you like, coffee would be good, and I'm sure your anecdotes would have me in stitches - but not literally.

Christine, a large slice of cake sounds just the thing. Cilla brought back memories for me too. When courting my first husband (yes, greedy girl I've had two) I used to stand at the call box on the corner of our street to wait for him to ring me.

Well, onwards and upwards as they say. At least I slept well last night with no itching. Hopefully it will soon be all in the past. Thank you all for your support. xx

Oh Kath I have a few online friends with vasculitis. if you have a any questions let me know and I'll ask them.

Respite Wednesday and had a good day. OH ad I cleared out some cupboards and got rid of some things, always makes me feel good. I'm the opposite of a hoarder although I keep things that I love.

Toni my Charlie actually liked some of my old shoes so I was able to pass them on as my feet have changed shape. I hope your Lucy managed to find some nice clothes.

We had some friends round on Monday. His Son from 1st relationship had leukaemia as a toddler, he's 23 now and doing well. Mum is very ill and in loads of pain but laughs it off. She doesn't yet have a diagnosis but hope it won't be long as no meds are touching the pain at the moment. We sat in the sunshine as it was a lovely day Dan hid in his bedroom and when I checked on him he'd gone to sleep. I had my MOT that day too and my BP was still high which I'm really disappointed about.

I watched the first half of I married the waiter Barbara. It is odd that people connect when they can't even speak the same language!

Glad computer arrived safely Toady and is working well.

Got to sign off now as they will all be home soon,

    Take care

Toady, I think it's quite strange that shops are selling Xmas foods with sell by dates long before Xmas. They should maybe still sell them but call them something else and don't make them Xmassy.

Barbara, the young ones do take very good care of their hair don't they? My GD once plaited her hair while it was wet, slept with it like that then unwrapped it but it didn't turn out how she wanted it so she sat for ages and straightened it all again.

Mig enjoy the theatre tomorrow and your pizza. I always take lots of photos and am usually the only one who does so not many of me either.

Elizabeth, glad you got some sorting out done today. That's good that your friend's son is doing well now. Hope your mum gets a diagnosis soon and they can help her with the pain.

I offered to do the evening visiting tonight. Forgot we aren't allowed to go at mealtimes now so it was 6.30 till 8. I was glad my son was able to pick me up or I wouldn't have got home till 9.30. My GS came along with my son to pick me up and he had been eating chips. I said I was hungry as I hadn't had my dinner so he offered to run in to the chip shop and get me some. :D

Apologies, I didn't mean my Mum but my friend as she is Mum to the children .

Having said that I was told my aunt was very ill at the weekend. She hasn't bee mobile for over 4 years and had a hemorrhage so I was told to prepare for the worst, but then after being sedated over niht she woke up next day much better and even spoke and understood more clearly than usual.

Applerose lovely for your Son to pick you up and then sort out fish and chips. Hope your Dad is okay,

Coco hope your D. enjoys uni. I bet you will miss her though. Toni's D. too

Been asleep again this morning-spark out I was but dragged myself awake as I have parcels due, although OH is around. Hips and knees are in agony lately and I'd probably struggle to get to the door in time.
Keep well, will have to start leaving hot food in the cafe from now on.

Hello Joan, Elizabeth, Barbara, Mig, Christine, Coco, hope all are feeling as good as they can. Just popped in to tell you I've had two lovely night's sleep with no itching or pain. Although Sciatica kicks in as soon as I get out of bed. :x OH also has sciatica now. He gets it often because his spine is crumbling. :? I'm hoping I'll be a bit more sympathetic with him now I have it myself.

Mig, not greed but definitely insanity.

Eizabeth I hope your mum gets a diagnosis soon and can start treatment.

Ooh chips. I went off them for ages, but started to love them again. Bought a tray of curry and chips from I***land - gorgeous.

Coco, it is chilly here too. I've started wearing my vest already. I bought some little sleeveless tops from T***o dead cheap and wearing those as vests. Nice and snug. :)

Counting the days until my treatment starts, looking forward to it now but will be glad when the MTX arrives and I can start it.

Coco, we had it chilly yesterday. It was quite warm here today. Glad your daughter is settling in ok. Hope you are not missing her too much.

Barbara, I'm like you. I hoard but feel good when I can clear things out and have an empty space. Hope you enjoyed your visit from your friend.

That must have been a scare Elizabeth. Hope your aunt will be well again soon. Glad you were able to sleep a while to catch up. It's not nice having to force yourself awake like that though. Hope your knees and hips calm down.

Hope things are as well as possible for you Joan.

Good to hear you managed a couple of good nights' sleep Kath. I've not had sciatica but I don't like the sound of it. I called in and bought some chips from the chippy to have with my tea tonight. becoming a bit of a habit at the moment.

Called in to Ald* at lunch time for just a couple of things and ended up with 2 bags full. Oops! It's been a nice day here today but, unfortunately, apart from a walk to Ald*, I was stuck at work all day. Hopefully, we'll get some more sun at the weekend.

Just a late call.. definitely a chilly day here too, I like the sound of hot food in the cafe.. even if I don't really want to start thinking in terms of hot soup etc just yet when when we're only into autumn (thank you goo**e for that cheery little doodle  ) but there's no getting away from it.. I suppose..

Not a bad day otherwise, got some washing done & dried as it was blowy even if cloudy, made a start on some painting in what will hopefully be my dining room/office-y type room one day :) , & sold a couple of e**y items. Packaging for me tomorrow then. I've a coupon to spend from e**y & can't think what to do with, so I will have a briliant idea when it's too late I expect. Did wonder about some curtains from the argos outlet but you have to pay delivery per each item, and when I checked they were the exact same price in actual argos  think I've nearly been caught out like that before, you do expect stores' e**y 'shops' to be cheaper.

Hope you enjoyed the musical mig even if you did have to issue bribes along the way  Was it a matinee or this evening.

Kath, glad you are feeling a little better.. in terms of assimilating everything you had to take in.. and better in having had 2 itch-free nights. :) I am humming the Dixon of Dock Green theme now thanks to you  it could be worse and maybe it will dislodge the last tune that got stuck on a loop (isn't that annoying!)

Glad you got on well with your sorting and clearing-out TK - I'm not good at it but trying - in an ideal world I'd have one house practically empty for the lovely spacious feeling (I love being in empty houses before a single thing has been done) ..and one filled with my things, as I like to have stuff but don't necessarily want to look at it or have it in the way. Sorry you were told your bp is higher than you hoped. Also that your friend and aunt are unwell, oh dear. :( It sounds awful but in a lot of ways I'm glad I have no older generation above me as I would be no help and it would be horrible. Hope you got your parcels (on a more cheerful note).

Hope you had a good visit with your neighbour barbara and caught up on your news and happenings. Talking about fish & chips is all well & good when some of us don't have any  I always when some when I go past one particular shop in town, but that is never when I am stopping, for various reasons, and I don't go to my local from home as it's that bit far. Used to live very near one which was so handy but I can't remember when I last had actual chippy chips. :? Must make a point of it.

Glad to see joan and coco too, hope you all have a reasonable Friday & weekend if I don't 'see' you before, xx

    Morning all
Mig I must apologise I think I missed you out yesterday...you did make me laugh with the husband thing...once bitten.. hope you enjoyed Shrek...good that you know how to bribe OH...
Elizabeth sorry you are struggling with the pain..hope today is a little easier..good to see your Aunt was responding to treatment...I hope she continues to do well
Christine..I go like Aldi*...trouble is like you say its bags full when you come out..hope we all get the sun at the weekend then you can enjoy...do you miss things you throw out like I do...
Kath..I will have everything crossed that the meds kick in straight away..wont be long now..sciatic is awful..that is one of the reason I have been offered surgery on this back..stretching is good for it ..relces the nerve that are being trapped..
Joan how is peppa doing..at least that is over with for him..hope you and Sue have a good weekend
Toady..I have had a couple of things from the Arg** outlet..but not electrical my friend had quite a bit of trouble with a fan she bought  hope you can make time for the fish and ships this weekend.. :D yes I had a lovely time with my neighbour she doesn't come round often like me a poor visitor but when she does we have a good laugh..
not a clue what I'm doing today :? will have to think on that one..
Hope that Toni and Lucy are doing ok...better have a clean around just in case she pops in...will see you all later...xxxxxx

Hello Barbara, Mig, Coco, Elizabeth, Joan, Christine, Toady, hope I've not missed anyone. Dying for a cuppa, I'm so dry today - bloomin' Sjogren's  Yesterday I didn't put my extra top beneath my jumper and felt cold. Today I did and I'm sweltering. :? Can't win. :(

Three itch free nights - wonderful, I'm even wearing socks in bed which I couldn't do before. My feet get really cold overnight as I'm still not covering the lower half up just in case. Don't want that old itch back again.

Not long now. Don't suppose I'll have time to come on here from Monday onward but will definitely come and let you know how I got on.

Well I hope you all have a reasonably good weekend, with lots of nice things to do and nice people to see. Slurp, mmm, lovely cuppa. See you again soon.

Having a 'vague day' where nothing useful gets done. :D but NOT going to stress. In fact I think I'll catch up with that Cilla prog episode 1 (I saw no.2). staring at a screen is about all I can manage.

Good to hear no itching for 3 days Kath! Good luck for Monday. We will await your news when you have the time and energy to pop in.
Applerose its impossible to go into a food shop and come out with less than 2 bags. We've eaten the 5 tubs of ice cream (they were smallish tubs) and now have 4 more! Its not me eating it but the children.

Hope you find something nice to spend your voucher on Toady. Is their a cut-off date? Another parcel arrived today. its my Daughter's new desktop so lots of bits'n'pieces and hard to keep track of what has arrived and what is yet to come.

Luckily I cannot remember the Dixon of Dock Green theme tune, although I do remember the programme, or I expect I'd be humming it too.

I'll help you tidy up for Toni Barbara otherwise she'll not get a rest.

Hello Joan did I miss something about Peppa? Is she unwell? I hope not.

Take care all TK Elizabeth xxx

Toady, I like those little doodles too. I got an Am*z*n voucher once and lost it. Found it just after it ran out and contacted them. They extended it for another 6 months. I didn't risk it the next time I got one. Two houses sounds like a good idea. I have things in cupboards and in the loft I like to know are there but not ready to part with them yet.

Barbara, I don't miss things I throw out because usually they are things that have been in the loft or a cupboard for a long time so I forget about them once they're gone. Glad you had a laugh with your neighbour. It's good to laugh.

Kath, I never know what to wear. Yesterday, I wore light clothes and was cold so today I wrapped up a bit and had to carry my coat and cardi because it was too hot. Three itch -free nights. Hope that's the end of it for you.

Joan our weather forecast said we should have a warm weekend. Hope you are right and it lasts longer.

Elizabeth, I've just had half a tub of ice cream. That's good for me as I usually eat it all. Hope you caught up on Cilla and hope you feel better tomorrow.

Hoping I get some sleep tonight. My ankles and toes and wrists and fingers were pinging like crazy during the night. Managed to call in to the market to get some potatoes as I had run out the other day and didn't have time to go and get any. I'm buying more fruit and veg from there as I've found a really good stall.

    Good Morning everyone :)

I started a message and then lost it so this one will not be as good :(

Thanks to Elizabeth and Barbara for helping with the cleaning ;)

Elizabeth Peppa was 'neutered' if that's the right word belss :( Still it's the right thing to do isn't it?
Are you enjoying Cilla on TV? We have watched both episodes and I'm still reserving judgement.... I hope today is a less 'vague' day for you.

Joan it's good to hear it's set to warm up. You know I love 'warm Octobers' with all the leaves and the light is different too somehow :)

Toady well-done for starting some decorating - I am thinking of plenty I ought to start, but maybe next year ;) and good you sold some stuff on ebay.

Barbara - it's good to meet up with friends for a cuppa isn't it? I need to start doing that again  Lucy an I are doing WAY better. Lucy went on the treadmill for a bit yesterday and sat on the yoga/exercise ball to work on her core strength. Back on steroids when we start maintenance and they do naff up your muscles :(

KathT here's a cuppa for you c060.gif hope you're not too dry today. I am so pleased to hear you aren't itching anywhere near so much - YIPPEE!!!

love to you all (and anyone I've missed)

Toni, I don't think the Cilla programme itself is particularly good but it is interesting to see how her career was started. Lucy has been on the treadmill? And doing yoga. She's doing better than me. I haven't been on my treadmill for quite a few months and I got my yoga dvd out a few weeks ago but still haven't done any. And going in to school a few times. She is doing so well.

So what did the veg end up as Mig? I'm really bad at the moment and throw my limp veg out. At least it goes in the compost heap so not totally bad.

Joan, my dad is back to as normal as he can be now (as he has Alzheimers). Just waiting for a bed in rehab for a week then he'll be back home. Thank you for asking.

Managed to get 2 lots of washing on the line today. It's very overcast but the forecast said it would stay dry. I've got my shoes and basket ready by the door just in case. I've got a couple of hours to kill before hospital visiting. Can't motivate myself to do anything else so sat watching tv.

Hello all, hope you're having a better day than I am. Only just got online although 'puter has been on since 2.15. :x It's been going online, offline every few minutes. Hope it's settled down now.

Oh yes mig, soup please. I'm just in the mood for crusty bread too Barbara. I LOVE vegetable soup - well, any soup really. :D

Yes, my 4th itch free night. It's wonderful and I think it's going to be back to normal for me at last. Although I have quite a lot of nasty spots to heal up now.

Christine, so glad to hear your dad is as well as he can be. I hope the rehab does him good.

Joan, hope all is well at your end and you are having a good weekend.

Toni, thanks for the cuppa, I've been using a mouth gel as my tongue is really sore. OH says I have a red stripe down the middle of it. How colourful, spots and stripes. Whatever next?

Why oh why does the B*C not get full coverage of the Ryder Cup on TV. As we only have Fr**view we only get the highlights. :|
