Its good to know you've got the K sorted Applerose and always good to get gifts in a sale. I think you must have most of the presents sorted now.
I wouldn't fancy taking a dog on a train to Heaththrow Applerose, what if he needs the loo, plus staying over would be difficult for you.
Barbara thankfully you remembered your appointment in time but was it a last minute rush? Yes you sound like a people person Barbara and enjoy their company.
I decided not to go back to bed today so I could do some online shopping although most of my C. shopping is sending money. I've already had a package go missing- some badges I sent to a friend. Bet they thought it would be full of Christmas goodies.
And also I'm feeling well enough to take my humira as my cold seems to have gone now.
The blue badge application is a mix of online and attendance Barbara so we did some online and then they want supporting documents sent in. I thought it was going to be one or the other.
That was a trek from Wales Coco! Feet up now and et someone to make you a cuppa.
Hello Joan. Hope you and Sue are well. x
Now Toady has been absent again so she must be busy or that flare has got worse.
I had a hot tea this morning as I had to iron school clothes first thing.
Just had a chicken and veg soup and it was lovely and warming although the weather is mild here.
Take care all

What a grey miserable day we have had drizzle all day.I had my right ear syringed today ,what a strange sensation, anyway its all clear now and we can turn the tv down, did some shopping today instead of tomorrow, shops sure were quieter than a friday.
Next week ,on wednesday daughter and i are going to see Alfie Boe in concert we are going for a meal beforehand ,i keep looking at restaurant menus online to see what i fancy can't make my mind up.
Joan i hope you and Sue are doing ok now.
My middle son has just been diagnosed with type two diabetes he's been borderline for a while but has had to go on medication and lose weight in 6 weeks he has lost a stone,he carried the weight well as he's about 6' 3" .
How you doing Toady ?
Take care everyone Mig0 -
Hello everyone, hope this miserable weather isn't making any of you feel too bad. I've had pains in my right hand and elbow, MTX night tonight, wish it would hurry up and kick in.
Alfie Boe, hope you enjoy that mig. My eldest son is 6' 3" and my younger one is about 6'. They were both born in April (different years) one at the beginning and one at the end. Both born at 7.30pm on a Saturday and both weighed 8lbs 5oz. There the similarities end. Elder one is very easy going, younger one is a fire cracker. Both have beards. Just thought someone might be interested.
Elizabeth, glad to hear your cold is better and that you can take Humira.
Barbara, glad you remembered your mammo. Mine is next month, I'm still on annual ones at the Nottingham Breast Institute. Annual manual check in January at the same place - daren't miss mine. :?
CHRISTINE - STOP SHOUTING!!I'm wearing my fleecy trousers and top, and my knee length flight socks. Very fetching.
Definitely cuppa soup weather, but we've been slobs today and had p*t n**dles. We had our boiler serviced, he arrived at 8am and finished just before 9am, so we are legal again."Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea." Robert A Heinlein

So glad we went shopping yesterday apparently our t***o is rammed.
Just found out that Alfie Boes support act is sol3mio ,they are two brothers and a cousin, they were on bbc singing at the beginning of the week.
Its grey and drizzling again, wish it would brighten up.
Daughter and son are off to the good food show tomorrow wonder what treats they will bring back. Its been many years since i went lots of walking don't think my feet would stand up to it now.
Hope everyone has a good week end. Mig

Hello Barbara Elizabeth Christine Mig Kathleen and anyone else who's in.
i hope you all have a lovely weekend without too many problems.

joan xx0 -
Coco, sounds like a long day for you. Hope things went well for your daughter at uni.
Joan, I'm glad Sue is a bit better now. Hope you are ok too.
Barbara, good job you found the mammogram unit. It's always in a different place when I go. Last time it was in a room inside the hospital although the portacabin was still there. My daughter is thinking Mango will be better flying from Glasgow now as he has to have another blood test before he goes and it would be better if he has it in Fife where he had his last one. My son-in-law's parents live there so hopefully they will take him.
Elizabeth, the kitchen arrived. Haven't opened it yet but the box is really big and quite heavy so I think it will be good. Hope it's not too big. I explained to my daughter how difficult it might be for me to travel all that way so she's thinking of asking her parents-in-law who live in Fife if they will come and get him and take him to Glasgow instead. Hope you managed to get your online shopping done.
Mig, doesn't it feel good when you can hear properly again? My dad and brother both have type 2 diabetes and both are on medication. My dad's in under control but my brother insists he looks after himself but then I read on FB that he has been out drinking or has had takeaway or other rubbish food. He just doesn't seem to realise his diet affects it. He often has hypos and doesn't understand why. Your son has done really well losing all that weight. Shows he cares about himself.
Kath, (whispers) sorry for shouting. You sound very fashionable. I don't care what I look like in the house. Doesn't matter if nothing matches as long as I'm comfortable and warm. Glad your boiler is working ok. My sister has been without hers for over a week now. She's in a council house with a 5 year old but they said it wasn't urgent enough to fix straight away. They did bring heaters for her at 11pm one night after 5 days. They might get it done some time during next week.
My new washing machine was delivered this afternoon. I had paid for it to be installed and the old one removed and taken away. The engineer said he couldn't remove the old one as the connection pipe was leaking and if he fitted the new one and it still leaked, he would be in bother. He said he doubted very much that I would be able to claim back the money I paid for installation. Now I have to pay probably up to £100 to get a plumber to install it and £15 to get the council to take the old one away.
I was walking home from work and it was quite dark. I was looking down when suddenly I was blinded by car lights. Looked up to see a car come up on to the pavement and drive towards me. Didn't know which way to go but it stopped just in front of me. A woman wound the window down and said could I give them directions to the school. Think I must have been in shock. Instead of shouting at them for scaring the life out of me, I just gave them directions. They had no idea what they had done. Now I'm annoyed with myself for not telling them.
Off Xmas shopping over the weekend. Would be good to get it finished. Hope you all have a good weekend.Christine0 -
Hello all, just to quickly say hi
hope to be in again soon, thanks for bothering about me  it's very kind. I am doing sort of ok (I think), we'll see I guess as time goes on & the steroids go out of my system. :?
In other trivial matters, I have had an annoying day, everything little thing going wrong; keep getting emails saying stuff I have ordered isn't available after all (books mostly),email systems & websites that are dead ends, dropping things and losing things. Topped it off by spilling tea on my new jeans. My personal Black Friday - (not the sort the polite little souls out shopping are having! Honestly!) So I'm not at my sunniest.
Oh yeah and there is no sun.
Going to warm up again I hear, maybe a glimpse of brightness. Glad not to be in Australia I guess. Speaking of which, hope all that are watching it are enjoying 'IACGMOOH' 8)
Will catch up when I can, glad to have caught up with everyone's news, not much exciting to put in the cafe cupboards but plenty of ca**ury fabulous fingers  a sub from te**o for what I actually ordered, so do help yourself in passing. xxxx0 -
Good morning everyone
Sorry I am late on - I can see you've all been really busy so much to get my head around and I've had a migraine!!!
Blue badge applications online....now....but also not :? I think in time it will all be able to be done online - is any of that about checking ID I wonder???
I hope mig's son becomes NOT diabetic with his weight loss - fingers crossed and well-done to him.
Good to see Joan's Sue is in less pain now too
Mad people driving on paths in the dark
Coco going all the way to Northants
Barbara nearly missing her mammogram

Hello Joan, Toni, Toady, Christine, Mig, Barbara, well, another miserable day with no sun. Hope it's not making anyone too depressed.
If you hear strains of Happy Birthday to you, that's me singing to my dad. He's 84 today. He rang me this morning to thank me for his card. We'd just got back from T**co - a very empty T**co I have to say.
Joan, hope you and Sue are having a good weekend too.
Toni, I hope your migraine has completely gone. My youngest daughter has cluster headaches, can't imagine how awful either of those are.
Toady, glad to see you back again. Mmmm, chocolate fingers. Delicious - any dark chocolate ones?
christine -how scary. Some people just have no idea of the effect their behaviour has on others. You were very restrained, I'd have screamed at them and probably swore a lot.
Barbara, when I bought my fleecy trousers and top from A**a, they had some lovely fleecy pyjamas in too.
When I went to T**co this morning, I perched my reading glasses on top of my head as usual. Went to the loo, and they fell off and broke. They were only those cheap readers you buy from supermarket. So I had to buy another pair - good job they're only cheap, it's always happening to me."Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea." Evening all. Sorry not been in the 430 mile drive and uni visit wiped me out for a couple of days. It went as well as we could hope for just have to wait and see. We have another long treck next week to Bournemouth uni. Trying to rest now so im able to survive it. Hope everyone is coping ok. Luv to you all xxx0
-
Afternoon all
Coco I hope you have managed some rest after all that driving and before Bournemouth..how come these unis are never nearby... :?
Its another lovely mild day here and the sun is out , so we had a little drive to the flash to see all the migrating birds...blimey its is full of all sorts took my little bird book with me...but didn't see one I knew just swans...
did I say that my GD has got an interview with an early learning center..trouble is its 2 buses away and on £78 a week  it does seem to be that most jobs are now apprenticeships..even in shops..think it might be cheap labour  I remember the old apprenticeships and they were brilliant you learned a trade..
I hope that everyones doing ok...see you laterxxxxxLove
Barbara0 -
Been very quite on here today, hope that means everyone is ok. Mig0

Hmmm, looks as if I didn't post yesterday. I was sure I had.
Hi Toady. Good to see you. Not good that you've had an annoying day. Hope today has been better.
Toni, looks like you have read everything. I find it difficult going back too far. Glad things are going well with you. Hope Lucy enjoyed her sleepover. Hope your migraine has cleared up altogether now.
Hello Joan. Hope you had a good day today.
Happy birthday to Kath's dad. Tesco empty? Must be all shopped out after black Friday. How unlucky breaking your glasses. Just as well they weren't expensive. I've dropped mine a few times but have been lucky.
Barbara, don't know what I'd do without my computer. That must have been good seeing all the birds. Do you think your GD will go to the ELC? She won't have much money left after paying the bus fares. I think some of the apprenticeships are cheap labour but my niece has been a hairdressing apprentice for 2 years now and has learned all the basics. Just doing a year of hints and tips and getting experience now. Her boss has put her on a proper wage now.
Coco, no wonder you are worn out. Hope you are getting plenty of rest now. Fingers crossed for the uni.
Hope you've had a good weekend Mig.
I went shopping yesterday, got home then got a call from my son asking if I wanted to go in to town to get my GS's birthday present. We dashed round everywhere as he wanted a game for his new X-Box 1. All the shops were sold out but one said there was a copy in the next town so we dashed there. My GS and I jumped out the car and ran as the shop was about to close. I pulled something in the back of my knee and had to hobble. My GS was telling me to walk but we'd have missed the shop. Took Mango to the park for a run around this morning but he started shaking and wanted to get back home quickly. Bought him a new bed but he started shaking again really badly and I had to hide the bed. Wonder if he's not feeling too well.Christine0 -
Hi *wave*
Thought id pop in here to say hello, been reading mostly.
Someone pop the kettle on for a wee hot choc before bed?0 -
Hi Loula. Pleased to meet you. The kettle is always on in here. Help yourself to biscuits or a slice of cake. They are all calorie-free.Christine0

Hello Barbara, Joan, Mig, Coco, Loula, Christine, and anyone else who may be around. Hope everyone is feeling OK.
Barbara, it's grey here too, almost forgotten what the sun looks like, although it did shine a bit yesterday.
Loula, welcome to the cafe, always good to meet new people.
Joan, it's always nice to see familiar friends too. Hope you and Sue are doing well.
Mig, is the advent calendar one with chocolate? Glad he found number 1.
Christine, OUCH! It's always the case isn't it, more haste less speed as they say. Hope your knee isn't too painful.
Nothing much to tell today. Oh yes, remember the car park with the broken lamp that was finally repaired? Well we have some fly tipping on there now. 3 leather reclining chairs. Maybe someone wants a place to sit before going out or coming home. :?: Rang the housing association who own it, they'll be so fed up with me ringing them about various things. :x"Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea."
