Hello all, well we managed to get some shopping done this morning. We normally go out on Wednesday, but as I'm otherwise occupied this Wednesday we won't be able to.
mig, my heart goes out to you and your family.I hope they manage to make your SIL as comfortable as they can for her last months. Thank you for the liver and onions, one of my favourite meals.
Elizabeth, I hope your son's PIP claim is successful. Also hope you can get some relief from the itching. How I remember that.
Oh Bridlass, I think most of us have been there in the early hours with pain. I hope you manage to get some sleep eventually.
Christine, we don't put any decorations up at all as we always spend Christmas Day at my DIL's or her mum's. We no longer have any pets, I love animals, but prefer wild birds and not pets. I'm just an old meanie."Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea." Robert A Heinlein

KATHLEEN what part of Notts Derby are you in. I was born in Mansfield and lived in Warsop.
Thanks for all your thoughts for me being up in the night. Yes I got back to bed for about 2am.
MIG don't bother with the ironing . . . do what that woman on the Oyknos advert does . . . just press the button and two hunky guys come and do it for her :P0 -
Ohhh Bridlass could they be wearing lycra  Mig0
-
Mig huge ((())) to you and your husband. Such sad news about your SIL
Elizabeth I am certain that you did ok at PIP meeting sounds as though your son did fine behaving as he normally does. My fingers are rossed for you.
Bridlass!! You found the café cat her name is cuddles and we also have a cow and sometimes sheep!!
Bit of a worry eh? we need help
Kath well-done for getting your shopping doneWe spent the day at the hospital Lucy had her shoulder Ultrasound (showed nothing so MRI/dexa next????) then visited some of the kids she knows having chemo. Distracted and prevented sickness!
Barbara - we have fibre optic I think they are a good idea. I am about to start my wrapping too - I can't leave it till the last minute these days ::)
Joan the scan was uncomfortable for Lucy so a bit of a shame it didn't show anythingHope all is well with you all
Did you all remember my Charley's car-jacking earlier this year? Well it's in court tomorrow am. Finally it will all be over. I hope the defendant pleads guilty.

Hi all,
I'm here a bit late today, OH is out at a work 'do' and I'm fending for myself for my evening meal; I'm sure there's some smoked salmon left over from Friday's feast so that will do me nicely with some salad and fresh bread.
Was intending answering Christine's ironing question but I've just seen the previous posts re men and Lycra and ironing. I'm not sure my OH would create the pretty picture you're looking for. But the answer Christine is Yes, he can and does do ironing, but I have been training him for nearly 40 years!
Mig, so sorry to hear about your SIL, lung cancer claimed one of my best friends (godfather to our 2 boys). Thinking of you and your SIL and family.
Elizabeth, hope the PIP claim is successful, let us know when you hear.
I have appt with GP tomorrow morning, can't believe I've now been off work for 6weeks and still have 4weeks more to go. I'm feeling the benefit of it certainly and am a bit better rested and calmer than I was before although I feel I've still got a way to go before I can get back to work and stay back at work. Hopefully I'll get the results of my bone scan too.
Have just remembered that it's my MTX night tonight so I'd best get myself organised.
love to everyone

I tried going to bed about 10pm but already up with pain.
It's easier being up than rolling around trying not to be in pain in bed. :?
I'm going to ring for GP appointment tomorrow.
Got enough appointment letters to paper the bathroom with!!!!! :P
Oh No! Looks like Cuddles Cat fell asleep on the job!0 -

Hello everyone,
Bridlass, I've sent you a PM.
Slomo, if you can't find the salmon, I'm afraid I snook in and ate it. I'll make sure Emily brings in something tasty to replace it.
My surgery rang yesterday to make an appointment to see my GP about my X-ray. Not until 21st December, so It can't be that serious, can it? :?

Hi All
Feeling pretty crappy today.
Had a tonic clonic fit this morning which leaves every muscle aching and leaves me tired. :?
BARBARA I've got an appointment for Thursday morning. Thanks for the PM. I agree it is confusing.
DACHSHUND I think it's OA but that's why I want a referral to a specialist to get a definite diagnosis. My GP says it's OA.
MIG. Men in lycra I'm not so sure about . . . how about a loincloth?
Bridlass0 -
Sorry you are having such a rough time at the moment Bridlass. Hope you can get some answers at your appointment on Thursday. Men in lycra. Men in loincloths. Whoa, it's getting rather warm in here.
Hope those mice haven't taken anything else.
Barbara, it's lovely listening to the little ones singing, even an advert song.
Kath, it's obviously not serious if they don't need to talk to you till later about your x-ray. I'm trained in massage but haven't practised it in a few years. Only go for them now and again now.
Joan, hope you and Sue are as well as you can be. How is Sue's wrist coming along?
Elizabeth, I'm glad nothing showed up on Lucy's scan. Hope nothing shows up on the next one, although I know you want to find what is causing the problems. How did things go in court today?
Seems my GD has shared her cold with me. I feel fine, just a bit bunged up. She is still coughing though.I managed to find her the McStuffin ambulance £15 cheaper in T*sc* but only if I ordered it online then picked it up from the store. Problem was, they didn't have any. I managed to find it on Am*z*n so ordered it. Next day, T*sc* emailed to say they had it back in stock so had to cancel one and order on the other. Anyway should be here at the beginning of next week. I hope.

Gosh I do feel like I've been AWOL for a while
So a very quick HELLO to you all
Bridlass a ((())) for you my Lucy sadly has (in addition to her leukaemia) tonic clonics as absences. She takes keppra, lamotrigine and clobazam.
We have midazolam for emergencies too.
Joan good to hear Sue is half way to getting that poor wrist healed xxx
Barbara it's been wet here, but luckily not after I got out of the hairdresser's where Lucy did my hair. She got a distinction!!
Christine - lycra! Lycra!!
Say no more
At least you got the Mcstuffin ambulance and I am very sorry you got GD's cold too :?
KathT has been half-inching the salmon I seeLet's hope your Xray results only show something fixable
Did I tell you all the girl who car-jacked Charley's car and left her and her friend in hospital last year was convicted in her absence yesterday
Now the police just have to find her
Charley did really well giving her evidence I was very proud

Barbara, it is good when you're organised for Xmas. I usually think I am but still panic a week before. Hope you don't catch your OH's cold.
Joan, I'm fine thanks. I've got a cold but don't feel ill. Sue's wrist should be ok for Xmas.
Toni, Lucy is doing marvellously well. It sounds as if that girl knew what was coming. I'm sure they'll find her soon. Well done Charley giving the evidence.
My GD was still sniffly today but feeling so much better so we took a trip on the bus down to the High Street to buy a colouring book. We had a quick walk in to a couple of charity shops where we found McStuffin colouring pencils and Peppa Pig wellies. I'm watching Supervet at the moment. He performs miracles on pets but it can be very emotional when he can't save one of them.Christine0 -
Hello Toni Christine and anyone else I missed.
Toni i'm so pleased Charley did nothing wrong. I hope the police can catch the girl.
Christine I hope your cold soon goes mine stayed for 4 weeks.

Just popped in to say Hi to everyone and I hope you're all doing ok.
Have had a couple of days where I've felt like I was expending a lot on energy and getting nothing much done and so I was just browsing the forum in quiet moments in the evening.
Think I'm back on track now, hopefully.
Have just seen the menu. It looks great - I think I'll treat it as a buffet and have a little bit of everything as it's all calorie-free!!!
love to all
slomo
(one day I'll solve the mystery of the smilies and pics. I've never managed to get one on my posts. I even tried following through the instructions one of you gave Bridlass and I see you've cracked it Bridlass but it still escapes me. GP did mention I was having problems with my cognitive function!!0 -
For those newer member who don't know our avid vintage fan and provider of grub for the cafe, my daughter Emily. Below is a photo of her (in the salmon pink cardi) and her best friend, dressmaker, chauffeuse and general dogsbody, Alexandra.
