Evening all
Well its late but the days seem to be rushing by with all the odd bits to do before Christmas. at least we now have all the presents to take down to family when we go down to our Margate and Ramsgate families in 9 days time for little miss Graycie's 1st birthday celebrations which falls 4 days after the celebrations. but GD wanted the celebrations at a weekend. we will go on the Friday and stay in hotel overnight and come home the next day after the party, Mermaid should be finished by this weekend I am working hard on it. Its Jolly cold here tcold tcold hopefully we do not get any snow hcold hcold until after we come home from kent on the 9th.
well I don't see why we cannot have a vegetable Biryani Aidan and the non calorie cakes sound good to me. yes Barbara I was very pleased with the card selling. and Mr T does enjoy playing the keyboards. No need to bring the Rice it is already cooked in with the biryani it was really nice. sorry of I have missed I am getting stiff now after sitting for rather a long time tonight knitting so must get out of the chair and move around and get the joints moving before bedtime.
Nighty Night all as my bed is calling me it keeps telling me i need to get in it cos its nice and warm insideStay positive always👍xx0 -
Its a very chilly evening / morning here.........might press buttons on the thermostat tcold I will make sure it is left on 18 degrees overnight.
Hope everyone is keeping warm and cosy. Happy St Andrew's Day.
I see you are all organised Carol, ready for the trip to Margate and Graycies first Birthday. I cannot believe where that year went to be honest
Looking forward to seeing the Mermaid when she is all finished. I hope she is behaving.
No snow forecast for us, just frosty nights and some very cold days too. I think 2 degrees is the high for today.
Toni will be pleased we can have a veggie byriani, with rice already sorted, we could bring the bus
Don't worry about having to move, we all understand that feeling very well indeed. If you bed is shouting coooey to you, then you must go and rest.
Pepe has reminded me that he does own Pendle Hill and most of the land in the Ribble Valley - all the places he and Sleek fly to, are jointly owned, like Lytham, Scotland, London  Bless, I just agreed with him.
I have no idea what the Christmas spell / surprise will be, the toad remains "away on a matter of magical importance". Will they all get new wands for Christmas?
Hermione has opened the door to Narnia, (minus the none to pleasant Ice Queen). I hope Aslan doesn't appear, or Pepe will faint for sure.
No broomsticks allowed, walking or running is the only way to travel. Better get those boots out and remember where the lamp post is.
I have been into the Sanctuary, I think all our lovelies are in their heated quarters at the moment, Johnny and the keepers made sure everyone was safely tucked up. The meerkats have made an appearance, albeit brief. 35 degrees is just warm enough for them
I have mixed 6 gallons of milk formula for the Rhino's feeds. I had to go past "the tank" I heard something moving   I didn't look back.
So Paul turns the lights out, even when you are still in the room :? men, what are they like, excusing myself
I have all the lights on in creation, every room, (all low energy). Cannot bear to have dark rooms - mood lighting, yes, but no lights, no thank you. We are lit up like a Christmas tree.
Right I had better do some more pottering. Wash a few glasses and no doubt throw them about.
GC later today, meeting Aunt and Uncle
Hi to Kerrin, Elizabeth, Mig, Christine, Charrisse and all.

WEll that's my face well and truly planted Aidan thank you
Yum!!
What a lovely idea two door in the shed snow anytime any of us want it. I can see a few of us in there next summer
Skipton it is Sunday and Dad having his eye test and a courtesy car all good I think every other day at least is enough there's the phone too of course and he needs space to think I'm sure.
Pepe and Sleek do own a lot of land don't they? bless them. A door to Narnia?!! Wow Aslan would make Pepe faint, but he is a kind Lion so he would probably shrink himself so as to not scare him How they would love new wands for Christmas!!
Mr Toad is definitely busy. Does he help Santa and the Elves??? :? just a thought...
I am the same with lights Aidan it feels so much more cheerful!
6 gallons of milk does sound a lot, but is soon consumed it is very warm down there in the Sanctuary in my opinion. The Penguins like it chilly though.
Enjoy the GC
Hot french toast mmm....
Carol I bet you are super-busy with preparations to go to Margate and the Mermaid to finish I know you'll do it
Yes photo please I expect there will be plenty of fbook anyway
I'll be down for the veg biryani yes please!

Afternoon all
Yes afternoon but I am out tonight at our fortnightly church meal looking forward to the meal just not the getting there and the getting home, cos it is jolly cold out tcold tcold in fact when I was out earlier I had a long sleeve t-shirt and trouser a fleece my ski jacket and a scarf with thermal gloves on, I was reasonably cosy warm but my face was frozen when I got home. it is a biting wind out there. Still i am sure i will cope as I always do.
Aidan yes all organised just got to get the prezzies for christmas wrapped. I know I really dont know where the last year has gone our Graycie has grown up so quickly how I ask myself is she nearly 1 already. makes me feel very old when I think of the GC and GG children's ages. The bed was most certainly calling cooey last night believe me.
Joanyes the days certainly do go quickly .
Toni Super busy it certainly is but mostly sorted now. Joints were much better after a couple of good nights sleep. Hope our elf is still enjoying working there will be plenty of biryani for everyone
BarbaraYes Graycie 1 your right time has gone so quickly all GC and GG children have birthdays this time of year Eldest GD was 26 last Saturday Grandson is 24 in 5 days time Graycie will be 1 just 7 days later and Lillie will be 6 in February and Youngest GD will be 16 3 days after that and thrown into the mix also our youngest daughter and myself both have birthdays in January.
Mr T has just told me it is snowing in central London apparently we are on the boarders of London so hopefully it don't come here. or it means I am confined to indoors
Well must away now as I need to get ready soon to go out later.Stay positive always👍xx0 -
Evening to all, another very chilly one, a lazy wind that blows straight through you. tcold
Thank you Joan, we had a lovely time meeting up with My Aunt and Uncle, a very leisurely lunch, lots of nattering and catching up. It was very busy at the GC.
I hope you are both ok, keeping warm and the doggies are happy with their coats on when you go out and about. Any news on changing those radiators? I wonder how long before the boot is ready for you...........Not too long I hope.
I thought you might face plant there Toni. It was just waiting. There was a spare one, so that Barbara didn't have to scoop up the remnants of the face plant one
We will be in Narnia in mid summer, I just know it. Barbara and I will be off like a shot.
We noticed that the courtesy car was facing the other way on Dads drive, so he had been out somewhere in it, to try it out no doubt.
Sunday will be a challenge, I know those Christmas markets all too well, having lived in Skipton for many a year. We used to avoid them like the plague  never mind, we will ride the storm and fight our way into Nero's - coffee and cake will drive me on and there will be a lot of waving of my crutches - ooops, sorry, did I clout you..
Mrs Darcy has been on the phone to Pepe and Sleek, reminding them that she has first ownership of the Highlands, Lowlands, Islands and Mountains of Scotland, but she will gladly share whenever our puskins visit.
I am sure Aslan would come down to Pepe and Sleek size, to prevent Pepe from fainting. He is the kindest of lions and has a lot of magic at his disposal. Worth knowing...........
New wands, yes, they have sent their letters to Hogwarts, requesting new wands for Christmas. Mr Toad came back, I saw him in the coat cupboard, fiddling with the broomstick, then he was gone  :?
I would not be surprised if he doesn't go to the North Pole to assist Santa and the Elves.
Glad you like the lights on too, we are visible from the Space Station, like Las Vegas  8)
We did enjoy the GC, lots of coffee, brunch and no cake - all the scones had GONE. I did very well and resisted the temptation of looking into the cake chiller. Fancy all the scones, snaffled up
Boothe's is a supermarket local to Lancashire and Yorkshire. A family run business for several generations. The nearest I would compare them to is Waitrose I guess, they sell things that other supermarkets would not stock and always try and use the most local produce possible.
We would not shop there all the time, the prices are a fair bit higher, but when you fancy something different, or scrummy from the hot deli, then we will go in and fill our faces
I hope grandad is doing ok and that Lucy is happy with her coiffure.
Indeed Barbara, it has been mighty chilly, I know we like it cooler, but this is colder than our fridge :? :?
Definitely have photo's taken when you are looking up, eyes wide open and an enigmatic smile. Or pose with your hand resting under your chin, hides a multitude of sins that and photoshop, sorted.
Hi Carol, I hope you had a lovely meal out and the journey there and back was not too cold for you. Is it a long trek, from where you live?
You were well wrapped up against the cold, with many layers and thermals.
Just the wrapping to do, then you are all set for countdown to Margate
Hasn't the time just flown by. I think we all feel old at times, usually I feel old when I see Drs in hospital and they look about 12 !!
Glad you had a good nights rest. It does make a difference, says me who is an incurable insomniac   Anyway, I digress
You have a LOT of birthdays coming up, there is no way I would remember them all without a whole raft of reminders, sticky notes, phone alerts etc.
There was snow in London, hope it missed your area. hcold
We are taking Dad into town, we have prescriptions to pick up, maybe a coffee at a very sweet little T room near the Drs. A few bits to get in Sainsbury's, that will do for today I think. I did the pressing on Thursday, so shirts are all done, always more washing, I am obsessed with our new washing machine and hunt out laundry, bless, it's a shame really.
It was rather magical in the enchanted forest tonight.
Love to everyone, Kerrin, Elizabeth, Christine, Mig, Charrisse, DD and all
Take lots of care XXX Aidan

Good to hear your Boot is on it's way Joan When we got to the hospital yesterday Tia's Grandad (who'd been in 7 weeks) had been moved to a Nursing home 45 minutes from his own home. So we had to trek over there to find him. He's ok though 8 weeks rehab and still coming to us for Christmas lunch
Aidan I am vey pleased to hear Dad did go out in the courtesy car!!
I bet you don't fancy Skipton at all do you? That's what crutches are for partly backing people away so they don't hurt us.
christmas01 Look at these smilies!! christmas02 christmas03 christmas04 Was that Miss Sleek? christmas05
I wondered whether Mrs Darcey would have something to say about the highlands. Paul is up in Inverness over the weekend working and she had to give her permission. She does share ok to be fair
Alsan is a very powerful 'Big' cat and doesn't want to make his smaller cousins faint. So Mr Toad has been back? Hmmm...we shall see what he's up to :? Of course Miss Diddicat and Pepe's Christmas lists have been written for ages just waiting for the chance to posts them off
Thank you for filling me in about Boothe's I think I would like to get treats from there. Pleased tell me it hasn't gone bust? I've heard Nat West and RBS are closing lots of banks down
Lucy's hair looks great although I am obliged to wait for full make-up to show anyone a photo
Tia's Grandad has been moved to a Nursing home!! 45 mins by car from his own :x . Allegedly for rehab. We shall see. First thing he said to me was "Are you doing Christmas?" of course I am and of course he's invited even though he's only related to Tia. He appreciates everything bless him. Oh yes I have to go and inch his heating up at home to prevent pipes freezing
Doesn't the enchanted forest look good lit up? Is that the deer I spoke to? I think it is.....
MMMMMmm.....I might have all three breakfasts myself, (small portions of course) Thank you!
Carol I very much hope you didn't get snow? Glad you were having a Church meal out, but hope you were warm enough all wrapped up!!!
Good the joints ease after decent rest. I am expecting the mermaid is very close to sewing u now and finishing touches.
Our Elf knows how cold it is now bless her!! Still enjoying it though
Barbara Boothes are selling up not going bust that is a relief!
Blimey you hit the top notes well last night at choir practise!! Well done you and well-done the cider
I think that about Elizabeth....she has such a bust life and she is so integral to things running smoothly for her children too :?
Warm joggers eh? Still 25% off at Sains? I might have to get down there myself for some bargains
Rightyho onwards and upwards for me
Love to everyone

Hey Denise we love the new smilies!0 -
It is high time I put some fingers onto keys and said hello. The days seems to have vanished, no doubt all the hours are in the shed.
hope everyone is as ok as possible. Not quite as cold tonight. tcold
Hi Joan, let's hope the boot arrives soon after the Christmas holidays, along with some new rads, that would be nice
Yes Toni, Dad had been out in the courtesy car, he has his own back now, they dropped it off today. The other one had a flat tyre anyway :?
Skipton will be thronging, but, as you say, the crutches will come in handy and someone may well feel generous and offer up their seats in Nero's. It has been known.
The new smilies are lovely Denise, thank you. It is Sleek, I am sure of it christmas04
So Paul is up on Scotland this week end, far far away, in Darcy land. She does share, bless her. I think she just wanted to make sure that everyone knew that Scotland was hers
Aslan will meet up with Sleek and Pepe for sure, but he will be as kind and gentle as possible. The Christmas lists have vanished from the fireplace, so I am assuming they have gone off to Hogwarts for processing. Santa and his magic, started somewhere, say no more.....
No, Booths have not gone bust, I think the family just want to call it a day and after so long, I cannot blame them. As long as the high standards remain and the staff are looked after, then that's all good.
Come on Lucy, we need a pic, with the new hair do. Miss Sleek says it is very nice indeed and would like it herself Pepe has seen it on the crystal ball and is suitably impressed.
That is a fair trek, for Grandad to be so far away, rehab, mmm I see........Glad he was on the ball about Christmas and bless him for being so grateful, of course you would have him spend the time with you all. Good idea to turn up the heating a bit, keep everything aired nicely.
The enchanted forest is just magical at the moment. Yes, it was the same deer that you spoke to some time back.
Internet has just gone iffy and two thirds of my post has vanished grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

We stayed home today. I got a letter from hospital to let me know my hospital is changing Rituximab for the cheaper Biosmilar Truxima. I have been expecting it, and as long as it does the job, I don't mind.
Did anyone see Prince Harry and the lovely Miss Markle, with eyes that sparkle on TV. They visited Nottingham yesterday.
Joan, no boot yet? Hope you don't have to wait too long. christmas04 Miss Slimkins will let you have this one if it fits.
Oh yes, I'm trying just the 25mcg patch by itself to see how I get on.
Chris is browsing FaceBook, and seen that someone on the Spotted Long Eaton page is giving away a Rollator. It will soon be snapped up. tcold tcold tcold"Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea." Robert A Heinlein

Toni glad they appreciate my singing...nobody else does.. yes GD will enjoy the company..and the food bless him..so Paul is in Scotland ..wonder if he has snow..

Oh Barbara!! One navy and one black!!! not the best idea. Do you remember earlier this year when I went out in two different boots?? We are silly!
No decs for us yet Lucy's BD first. 43 years old how fabulous I couldn't open the photo
Picking Lucy up from work at 8 chilly chilly Going to fetch our Elfie and baby boy Elfie a wife and sister
Kath of course Miss Slimkins will share her boot with Joan any day.
I hope the cheaper infusion does the job as well and the 25mcg patch works too
I haven't really seen the news for a few days, but wish Harry and Meghan many happy years together
Joan Lucy started at 9 and finishes at 8 today bless her. I hope she will be warm enough. tcold Will be thinking of you on Tuesday I see the Nose Dr to decide whether to have the nose op so I can breathe a bit better. Scary
Aidan it is warmer here although it was super foggy here earlier and I have to pick Lucy elf up later (8pm) I hope she's not late.
I have lit the fire then thought I have to leave it still the fire gurad should make it safe.
Sleek says she'll keep an eye :?
I do hope someone will be kind in Nero's and offer Dad a seat and you too. Fingers crossed.
Yes Mrs Darcey did indeed want to stake her claim on Scotland Christmas lists have gone? Good Miss Sleek also brought two here just to be on the safe side and they have also vanished. Aslan will speak to Santa because really they have been very good pusskins this year.
Miss S asked if she could have the tips of her ears like Lucy's hair Lucy is Elfing ATM so has ear-muffs on. Pepe likes it too? Good, but really for himself it has to be sparkly
Tia's Grandad is very welcome he sits quiet eats his dinner and listens, smiling, to everyone chatting. He and Paul's mum were in-laws when Paul was married to Tia's Mum so that's nice for them both.
That is so annoying loosing 2/3 of your post grrr!!!!! I am very glad Boothe's haven't gone bust All good So longs whoever buys it sticks to the same standards.
The enchanted garden looks well....enchanting doesn't it? I saw the Deer here too crossing the road on the 60mph stretch before you turn off to our village!! She/he is definitely tryng to tell me something :?

Well, it is just after midnight, so a very early morning to everyone and finally I seem to have stopped pottering and pandering to the cats etc...............
If I loose this post I will skweeeeeeeeeeeem
That's good Joan if you are going for Physio then for a boot fitting, maybe they will get a wriggle on and have them ready before Christmas
As always, thank you for the hugs, you are a star XX Love to Sue and the doggies too.
Hi Kath, I think a lot of drugs are being changed for cheaper alternatives, I have had two lots changed, or doses changed. The drug companies have a big hold on the budgets, from the top hospitals, down to our own surgeries. I don't mind them changing suppliers or doses, but not cutting things out on a whim, that won't wash. They tried it once with one of my pills and I was in the surgery the next day :x
No I didn't see Prince and his Fiance', they seem very happy and lively, I am sure the wedding will be lovely. Nice of them to visit my home town
Hope the patch is sufficient to ease the ouches, I know you are pretty good at bringing things under control as and when needed.
So you lost your day as well Barbara, I think it is the season for days going missing.
We seem to be back up and running with the internet, must have been a glitch, but very annoying when I had written a thesis.
I hope we get some seat today too, I just know it will be a bun fight and then some. Santa will be there, (from the Rotary Club) with carols blasting out christmas03
So you have some decorations up too, I love Santa, he is looking very well, for his tender years.
The tree is going up today I see, with help from your GD. We have teeny trees, that light up and swirl with glitter inside, they are really sparkly and glitzy. One in each bay window. We don't have a lot of things out, they only get on my nerves and end up being knocked over.
Oh dear, one navy and one black shoe no, sorry I am not laughing really, much
Lucy's birthday coming up, very nice I hope you had a safe journey Toni and it wasn't too misty. All elves home safe and sound
Is your hosp appointment on Tuesday too? Decisions on the nose op.................I know nothing. Did the new spray help at all?
I am sure Miss Sleek kept her eye on the fire, with a guard around it should be ok.
I will keep you posted on whether we find, or are offered a seat. I could come over quite peculiar and have to be seated (that's nothing new anyway :? :? ).
The puskins have all been very good, without a doubt, passing their exams and making new friends. Pepe said he has asked for the Elder Wand !! I think that might be a step too far. I said it was thrown into a deep ravine, after it was broken by Harry. He said, it is mended now, didn't Mr Toad tell you............errr, no. :?
Then he went quiet, as if he was letting secrets out. All that said, I don't think an Elder Wand would be handed out by Santa, even if Aslan was there to put in a request, it is way too powerful.
Glad the lists have vanished from your house too. Pepe did like the Elf ear muffs, but you are right, he would prefer something sparkling christmas01 He thinks Miss Sleek should have some. She did mention that Lucy's new hair colour (which is lovely) would be nice on her as well...........he said he would dye it for her
Perhaps not a good idea........
Tia's G Dad will be more than welcome, he sounds wonderful and no trouble at all. I don't like that he is so far away from his home, in "rehab". Just doesn't sit well, or am I being too sensitive?
You saw the Deer, wow, there is definitely a message afoot. Wonder what it can be?
Hope Paul is ok up in Bonnie Scotland. Sleep and Pepe were chatting to Mrs Darcy today, she was telling them about all the Western Islands that she owns as well, they were suitably impressed.
I think the Deer wants you to follow him
Dad came round for a coffee and a natter this morning (Sat), he rang first to ask what we were supposed to be doing, bless. After stopping to talk to most of the neighbours, he finally arrived
Then it was lunch time, then before you know it, it was going dark, then siesta, then supper, pottering and then it is midnight.
We must buy some cards today, we need to do ours and also help Dad with the ones he needs to send ( I will likely be writing them, he doesn't like his handwriting). Third of December already, time is marching on christmas04
He had suggested we go out for dinner on Christmas Day, so I looked at some places around here. £80 per head   Sack that. We can get everything we need and more, all ready prepared, for less than £80 from Mark's, so we will do dinner. We told him how much it was, whether it is affordable or not, he did make a little swear word
Right, I will go see how the lovelies are, I know Johnny is on duty and the vets are doing their rounds this week end. The Rhino's are settling in very well and eating more of their veggies and kibbles, so a few less gallons of milk for Barbara to run round on the trolley.
Hi to everyone else, Kerrin, Christine, Elizabeth, Mig, Carol, DD and all.
At least it is not frosty for a few nights now. Everyone take lots of care. I will gird my loins  :? for the Skipton trip. Wish us luck.
