    Have come in for a cuppa and a rest, seems I'm on my own, will make the tea and leave it in the big flask.

    Who's got all the snow then? Not a flake here - can't say I feel deprived, but I am beginning to feel guilty!

    Will check the forecast while I have a minute.........it might be on it's way to me.......

    Snow has been coming down here all night and we have big icicles on our car from the windows to the bumper.

    The wind in that biting kind that goes through you.

    I hope you are all okish. I have been quite bad so could not come on here.

    To all who have sent me PM's thank you so much I will answer you all promise. I have not been able to type my hands have got worse.

    How are you all? I hope you have all been ok.

    We have had it since yesterday it has settled. The wind is that biting kind.

    I do hope my family will get here ok. They are due to fly in to Heathrow on Sunday.

    I'm going down with my elelctric hair dryer to melt the snow. Where's Val and Annie can you both help? Plus anyone else who wants to come

    Not sure what time but I expect it will be morning because it is long haul flight. T

    They do get in first as they are not allowed to fly in after 11pm because of the people who live there the noise.

    I will have everything crossed, Trish, that the weather clears enough........it might be further south by then. It would seem to be coming our way and I will gladly take a couple of days snow for you!

    Got two hairdryers on standby..........don't let the Brolly anywhere near me while the weather is like this, it can't be in a good mood. To hell with the biscuit barrel, let's just have the brandy.........

    I think they must all be out carol-singing, or possibly roasting chestnuts in the garden. Think a lot of folks are having a hard time with the weather and arther, too.

    Just looked at the local forecast.......how much is 25cms snow in old money? That is what we are supposed to get tomorrow.

    Annie I think 25cm is about 6 ft.. x:) we have got a little bit here...but more on the way tomorrow

    6ft :shock: We'll have to send the cat out to tunnel through to the supermarket, right out of fudge!

    No Old Speckled Hen, either, Del.........got 3 bottles of brandy, though!

    Here we are, fresh batch of buns, have put two cherries on them as it is nearly Christmas.

    we are all snowed in this morning.. :o there was nothing when we went to bed...Oh well....think I will have a hot mug of tea....there is some brandy left for Del...Julie its good to see you back....I hope your mum gets good news...I really do..

    morning all, to another winter wonderland, I really think we live in Narnia at the moment, it might look nice, but no way can we get out, the lane to the main road is not worth risking, you could get down, but back up, that's another matter

    Julie, lovely to see you hun, hugs to you and for your mum too, oodles of them. To you Trish as well, I can hire a mini snow blower, to keep the paths cleared, hope all goes ok with the flights on Sunday.

    Hope everyone is keeping safe and warm, we will worry about the gas bill in January, it is way below freezing here and hitting minus 9 tonight, so there will be plenty of brass monkeys to help us with the carol singing.

    Bones are shouting a bit today, not helped by the weather. Guess what, we went out last night, to the local, next door drove us the 200 yards, as I would not have made it in the snow. Was nice, had 3 drinks, which was a bit naughty, but enjoyed it, not been out in many a blue moon.

    Best see what the washer is doing, shaking the house at the moment, must be the final spin. Leaving some puff pastry mince pies and brandy butter..............xxx Bubbles

    Hi everyone, popping in for a very quick cuppa.. Venturing out in a minute, go pick oh tablets up...
    Went out last night for her works do, good night but both places we went to were not disabled friendly and loos were upstairs in each place, I didn't take my walking stick or my wrist supports, probably a bit of daft pride, and boy am I paying today, what with the stairs and being sat for a long time... Not good.
    Had a small amount of snow in Leeds but it's extremely cold.

    Hope we're all ok, will ber back in later on..

    Tony, take care out there, we have about 4 inches of snow and no chance of getting down our lane to the main road. Glad I have a pharmacy store, to keep me going and cat food supply, to keep them all going........
    Supposed to be going out to the in laws tomorrow, but I doubt we will be, the snow won't melt at minus 9. :o
