Hi All
Many of you will have heard to radio saying teher have been 3ft floods in st Austell and might have been worried about Cris...
have managed to get hold of Cris and she is fine. Some of the vans/sheds have 'moved' and are not where she left them last night, but all animals are safe and well. Not much sleep at all.
She reckons it must have been easily a force 10/11 gale maybe even more.
Perranporth and Parr likley to have got it worse than her as they are lower down.
She has about 6" that's all - phew!!!
Can I just check Louise are YOU ok?
Love
Toni xx

I am ok - thanks for asking - I live the other side of Cornwall - near Newquay - and thankfully we are higher up :!: :!: We did have the strong winds - but nothing has been damaged - even the weeds are still there :!:
Tell Cris I am thinking of her and sending loads ((((((((hugs))))))))))) for her and strong vibes to help 'move' thiings back :!:

Glad to hear you are OK too, sorry about the weeds tho! Hope you are feeling better, if I remember rightly you were struggling a bit recently. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Louise i am so glad you are ok - thought you would be safe but you never know - have passed your message on to Cris who will try to get on later - at least her electrics have held out!!
|Aparently st austel had a flash flood mevagessey is flooded and a30 closed as is part of the a390.
There has been a landslidfe at loswitek and so no trains are running.
The tide came in to perranporth and wont go back!
But CRis is ok and all the animals - the sheep have had a window through in their shed that's all.
What a night eh?
we only got rain here.

HI toni
thanks for the update about Cris which puts me to shame   I sent a text to Cris this morning when I heard the news, but never thought to put the computer on and let everone know she was ok (if rather tired!)
sounds to have been worse wind-wise for her than the wet, though I don't think she'll be free of mud for a while!
hugs to all in Cornwall & hoping no=one is too badly affected.

Wonky! No need to blame yourself! I did it while waiting for a reply to distract myself and as I knew others would worry.
It looks awful - makes you so sad, but Cris is made of tough stuff and she has 'seen it all before' i think
Bless everyone - she will be so touched when she reads this and she will tell you it all much better than I could possibly.
Thank you All.

Hi Toni,
Thank you so much for keeping us all updated. Poor Cris, what a frightening night she has had to go through. Please send her my love and I do hope she can get help to sort out the aftermath.
Good to know Louise is ok as well. Floods are such a terrible thing to go through. My thoughts are with all those affected.

Thanks Toni for letting us know Cris was OK and for keeping us updated. Was watching it on the news today, what an unholy muddle!
Have been wondering about Cris quite a lot, she has enough now without adding floods to it all.
There always seems to be something just before Christmas!
