Hi Tony, I, Chris, Rose, Sue, Iris and Coco,

Littlelegs been on the bellows and we have sun today...... some clouds over that way but.....

The water outside the door has almost gone but under it ... bet you can't guess.....

Silt just now.... when I was a kid I used to love to play in mud and water... see I must have grown up

Help... yep I can get some as long as I pay but the sale was rained off last Sunday, the markets closed from flood damage (and will be for some time, though it was built on a flood plan) and just now I can't pay em... but...

    get this.....

I spent 4 hours shoveling mud and hosing out a garage and back room the other day..... took stuff up the tip and charged nothing.... so tell me why its always a one way street?!

No point going down that road, the young Cornish don't understand barter  Hell they haven't even kept the accents..... wow stop now said my sensible head :lol:

Iris firstly you do help and secondly I did get to bed  It was cus the stove was too hot  It woke me up  Cus I was armchairing... bad habit eh?! Long time since I been too hot.....Leaving you some ((( ))) and some hopes xxx

Chris I just can't have days off.... Not had one since they did my feet... does that count as days off though  I chose this life back along, on the tail end of huge grief but normally it kinda suits me and I am this life and not much else......

Oh good news today though... its going really cold next week :D Spending so much time on nodding terms with hypothermia I don't normally welcome the cold but with this swamp.... bring it on  ((( )))'s to you flower and some cream and jam sarnies..... don't eat too many though cus you get sick :lol::lol::lol: xxx

    Hi Sue,

Merry Christmas to you all :D Really hope you enjoy your day and sending a big ((((( ))))) and a hope you did get some sleep and feel ok today? xxx

    Hi I,

Scary winds I hate... used to be ok till it took the roof and though this one is under guarantee the roofer did say not for wind damage cus its so open and gets clobbered... saying that its not gong anywhere juts its me getting stupid.....

I got some pallets for outside the door (thinking a bit better today) and shall turn them into duck boards..... Have to find some wood though cu they are open pallets and the dogs might fond them a bit hard.....I just cut the hair off the dogs feet..... one from kindness and the other would be it might help stop all this mud coming indoors like this......

The mud monster has already got the most disgusting undercarriage... but he will towel off later :lol: It could be worse I..... The electric could have gone, and this place could have had water in it.... mind it would have to rise high to do that and its only surface water...... say it quick and it don't sound bad :lol::lol: ((( ))) xx

    Hi Rose and Coco,

Not as bad today thankfully...have rediscovered humour... that went for a min last night and Daisy might be able to re-sus the cope...... Its kinda chained up but its clobbered, bedraggled and not very well :lol::lol: Leaving you both a ((( ))) and a hope the world is ok for you today? xx

Right must go give little legs a break on the bellows besides she needs to go bark at the mud again  Gimpy said he will bark at the lodgers....... and collect mud... knew I should have had him clipped!

    You all take care
Ops sorry Tony I forgot you  leaving you a ((( ))) and a hope your over your hols now? x

I am back from my travels. I have just read thro the thread and skezier, it's no wonder you were/are feeling overawed by it all. OK, you chose the life, and it does (usually) suit, but the current blip in your health was not expected, has been severe, isn't passing off that quickly and is so debilitating that it's a wonder to me that you have been doing anything lately, never mind just while the weather is bad. We need to get you better but as to how . . . . . . I don't have a clue. I hope the CDM has arrived, it should have done, but if not, I apologise and hope it won't be much longer! DD

Right, well I had a text from Cris earlier tonight ..... she has had one heck of a day - and all bad :(

missed two sales because of 7 escapees   which took a lot of finding and broken fences which called for the pounder to be used again  which will have done our friend no good whatsoever. :(

last I heard Cris was frozen stiff & very sore, and after sorting the sheep was intending to turn in on her return in a bid to get warm. She may well be hitting the embers in the cafe big style tonight

Cris when you read this please know that we are thinking of you and sending loads of love, hugs, buckets of stamina and a whole tanker of warmth just for you.

Bless you for the update Wonky but sadly not what we really wanted to hear, and I thought I had had a bad day!!

Cris, only the 7 escapees? Sorry for my attempt at humour flower, but Wonky is so right we are all thinking of you even when we can't always find the energy or time to post every day.
Adding to the warm, bone soothing, hugs with some saffron and hevva. :D ((((( ))))) Hope it helps a teeny weeny bit. Please be resting somewhere, in a chair if need be. I'm not even going to mention lump hammers flower, you will be sick of the sight of them!

Hi Wonky, Chris, Julie and Berty,

    Not a good day

Actually Wonky I am still shivering an didn't know how cold I was till I drove the sheeps and got the full force of the cars heater..... sad or what to not release you that cold  As you know I did them in record time and bless them they seemed to know they were being short changed

Did get home warm and then released a few other things as well..... hands are ripped to shreds, bits of bramble stuck in me, torn by wire with blood down the front the jeans, shirt and shirt collar (wondered why the guy in the garage asked me if I was alright  ).... really ripped to shreds but it could have been worse..... the owner might not have arrived :lol:

4 less now and the rest are off today and tomorrow.... or so he said and I think he did realize he was losing next years grazing by then..... Slurps from the unhelpful one and ((( )))'s from me but only one armed today Cris xxx

    Hi Chris,

yep only 7 and by then there was nothing to stop it being 12  Initially there were 5... all in different directions... took me ages and got them back in be it by unorthodox as well as normal means..... Couldn't get any help... well can you ever in a day of gloom and cold like that?!

Sorted the fence out resorted to wire again ... let owns back out she tested it for over an hour when one the others decided to lend a hand... well a tail actually.... got the wire caught in her tail and pulled out 10 posts along that bank.... that's when there wee 7 out!

He turned up just as I dragged the last one back in and oddly mended the fence... he has also made a string of promises... ad taken 4 out with the rest to go asap... and the fences will have to be done before they come back so that's up to him eh?! I really lost it yesterday.....

Paying for it as well.... ((((( ))))) xxx

    Hi Julie and Berty,

    I hate winter

My neck has gone and I am not able to drive or do much today so planing to get someone to drive me to the sheeps tonight and actually go back to bed for a bit and just try and hurt less..... see get cold and you don't feel pain and since it was all so drastic you don't remember you can't do things..... I might even ask their owner to run me the sheep.... though he and I are a bit strained just now and might need a few months with no contact

Hope you both are ok and leaving ((()))'s and hopes you get a decentish day xxx

    HI Cris

hoping that you are resting so haven't sent you a text

I really hope that the others will be leaving today - one less thing for you to worry about. And if the owner has any decency he'll be helping more (but I won't hold my breath, I know!)

so sorry you were so badly affected .... hope you have bathed all your wounds and they are not as bad as they looked on first inspection

    Hi Toni,

He is looking much better..... going for one handed typing now... hope you don't mind...

don't give him back yet and don't slacken that chain......

the second bad escapee was out on the road when the owner came :D he had to chase her.... she gave him hell as well... yes, yes, yes..... bout time it yelled triumphantly......and yeah dancing...... welcome to my week :lol::lol::lol:

    So......

here this week came together in all its glory....

he brought the trailer down, i loaded her and she was so good cus she trusts me....

cut a long story short..... mule and blossom are in the barn, again...... the trailer is knee deep in mud but acting as a gate to the yard.... and it took us 30 mins to get the owners truck out :lol: i just keep thinking yes! and i did use 2 hands.......

please thank daisy for a min and get her to nurtuer it a bit longer cus its just too good a cope to have to deal with tomorrow..... hugs x a million xxxx

    hi wonky,

oh flower...... its got to end soon....

i did rest and went to bed with heat on the neck and shoulder and it did ease up a little.

then the above..... and having to catch and drag poor mule to the barn as well...

well just now i am gong to do the sheep and get some water for the captives first and then stand under a very, very, very hot shower cus just now i might have a bit of trouble.....

not done this to me before....

was pins and needles from the skull down but now its changed to numbness and odd sensations.....

can't help thinking payback will be hell....

anyway my hugs to you and little legs is on those bellows and has promised to keep it dry till we got that trailer out at least :lol::lol: slurps from the mud monster and more hugs from me. xxxx

Oh Cris...........big sigh from me...........I don't know what to suggest except staying under the shower.....in fact have one every hour on the hour!

.........preferably with a bar of CDM in between..........

I do hope your various wounds ease off, it is going to get colder and drier this week I'm told, so just maybe you can have a little rest time, especially if all the escapees have GONE!

..............another big sigh..........wish I could be of some practical help as always - and I think that goes for most of us on here.

So, get warm and dry and for the love of Mike, go to bed tonight, no armchairing!
