Hi Elna, Joan, DD, Barbara, Tony and Julie

they almost home again now, it was a very fleeting visit but good to see them and they have eggs to go (even though I might have sat on em) and had an omlette here... I made them eat them cus I didn't want to chance anything hard of scratchy still.

I left about the same time and saw the rumo....

No midline available ( funding mostly)

    Got the diclo's back

MTX upped to 25ml now and its all to be reviewed in June.....

That gives the mtx a bit of time to show some improvement though I have got oa in my wrists as well as pa so even without the inflammation they ain't going to be as good eh?

The soreness is a bit less in the oesophagus and now I have to see the gp and keep the nexium..... that might be harder but given that I have been on a very high dose of lanzope and its just got worse its something I do want to keep...... I don't want more complication and agro from that for sure.....

Toni just texted she is back home. Safe and sound.

Right you all have a good evening and I shall go do my girls..... Hugs and tea to you all xxx

    Hi Cris,
Glad things are settling down a bit for you, very glad you got to see the Rheumy, and keep the diclos, I hope to goodness they keep a closer eye on you now! Don't be afraid to scream and shout to get attention from them, sometimes it's the only way honey.
Got my bone scan Monday, had to laugh (quietly behind the back of my hand) my Luke was telling his friend that I was having it done next week, when asked by his mate why I was having a bone scan, he replied 'oh you know, to check the bones are all there' I nearly choked! Out of the mouth of babes...

    Hi Cris

Sorry it was a short but sweet meeting with Toni, but hope it lifted the spirits a little and got rid of few surplus eggs.:grin: Am sure you are still seething at the neglect and even more sore and exhausted from yesterday, so I hope tomorrow feels a little better.
Just leaving a top up of cope and hugs ((( )))
    love
    Chris

Glad you got home safe Toni.

    Hi Poppy, Chris and Julie,

It was lovely to see them again, kinda wish they were nearer cus its a few miles.

The sun even shone for them.... its sort of trying today but so far failed....

Did a bit of lifting to see if I could do the sale and its too soon for that one just now. Have to at the weekend though.

had the diclo's last night and sure some of the inflammation is better.... they and I get on and they are better than the other things I have tried and with no ulcer wow betide ANY doc who tries to take them off me again..... I shall do 'these are my teeth' and I learned under the best......

Hope you all have a decent day and I shall go out and do the sun dance cus its kinda trying to break through the clouds.....

Hugs to you all and tea Cris xxx

    Hi Joan,

Its all a bit easier and well for that i am so glad.

the nexium and another tablet that sounds like a drink (domperidone) have so helped.

For me diclo's have been a main stay for 30 years.... they just seem to suit me though it has to be the s/r ones cus the 3x a day ones were not so good.

Just make sure you have a good pump inhibitor! I know the best ones but they might knock me back to lanzop but Joan I don't have an ulcer so they do the diclo thing well enough.

The stomach protectors are VERY important eh?

Right come on flower we get things sorted and if you could give me a hand to get a new bed in?

Oh Joan sometimes towards the end of next week... we are concreting in some posts and bring your hammer and nails :grin:

Going to get my girls home soon.....

Love to you and Sue and tea for you and one of them cappuccino things for Sue  ((((( ))))) Cris xx

I am glad the diclos are helping, I am peeved about the midline (but nowhere near as peeved as you, I suspect) and I am pleased to report that my temp is nearly backl to normal (I was .5 of a degree away from a trip to A&E, but so glad I didn't bother). The sun here is lovely, I hope you have some too. DD

    Hi Joan,

Its (I think this is right) Gastro Oesophagus reflex Disease.. what happened is I got a hernia. I said i had a problem well over 12 months ago to the old uslessess and they told me I had an ulcer. i said I didn't.

I changed doctors (thank god) mostly cus the old ones wouldn't refer me back to the gastro's with the then crohn's flare.

I got the normal reflux cus of the hernia, I said I was having trouble and they again said it was 'probably' an ulcer. It meant the reflux was unchecked and it grew into GORD. That then put a load of stomach acid in the oesophagus and caused the inflammation and the swollen bit ether is cus of that or cus of the Barret's.... which i really don't want and can't see why he can't have it back... though small wonder he didn't want it

Funnily enough I am now waiting to see the gastro's again  How many months will that be...... guess that depends on the biopsies eh?!

Right so you're up for a bit of shed building? Good flower cus its going to kill me :lol::lol: (((( )))) and a hammer Cris xx

    Hi DD,

Oh glad to hear you feeling betterer..... I still coughing and snotting but thing its kinda the norm

The green monkeys has eased off and the Alien is not kicking as much.....

The bones, oh DD they have had it but they belong to someone who does a half decent ostrich and they can just get on with it cus I will not have this...... I wonder who will win in this slug out.....

I don't know why but the diclo's and I really do gel... mind after so long...

I took a copy of the report they gave me on Monday with and showed the rumo and as he said i don't have an ulcer and actually have nothing wrong with my stomach.... shame about the bit to get there....

We did talk about a few of the anti-flams. I don't do well on preds so it is only the nsaids I can have or nothing at the moment..... He thinks the diclo's are the less harmful ones and they do work so got him on side

The midline... don't even start me or the rumo or the pain doc..... Money is not just the root of all evil but a barrier for good care!

Mind just phoned the private hospital and maybe I can get one they getting back to me with price..... (((( )))) xx

    Oh Cris,
You are one amazing lady you know that? those Spartan warriors have got nothing on you  hope the private hospital can help and that it's a reasonable price, I'm going private for the bone scan Monday but only because my Rheumy insisted on a quick appt, this was the only way.
I could send my 3 lads down to you for the summer  they work hard and the elder 2 are over 6ft and strapping lads (if I say so myself!) downside is you'd have to feed them  offers there if you want them xx

chris i do hope the private med isnt too expensive, i think it is flippin disgusting that you even have to think of that route.

I wanted to join b**a when i was having trouble with the prosthetic leg cause at one time these folks couldnt get anything right.....They wouldn't take me on....had too many problems  they only want healthy people

hope you are not too bad this afternoon and i have been thinking about the tummy protectors and will mention it next time i see someone.

    Yikes!
I have just logged onto your thread and read all the posts (18 pages!).

What a right old time you are having and I cannae believe how well you are dealing with not only the pain side but the emotional side.

As always, my gob is wide open in admiration of you and I doff my cap to you, curtsey and anything else I can think of.

See? I always say that you know your own body and you have just proved this as you knew what it wasn't and you knew what meds would give you a bit of relief.

You just focus on yourself and everything else will either melt away or sort itself out (re all the family stuff).

You cannot picture the amount of healing and positive thoughts I am sending you so just sit down, chill and relax. It makes my eyes leak reading all the lovely supportive words from everyone for you - hope this makes you see just how valued you are around here!

Hope you are having one of the good days today and smiling a bit.

    Hi Poppy,

Oh flowr now that is wrong! You should have been able to get it on the nhs.....

I kinda think they are really starting to let people down now!

Please send your lads.... I am going over M's on Monday to do a price up and they will deliver as well... the last one every bit of it traveled to the girls in my car..... this car is a little better so good it will be delivered eh?

Going to get a work out unloading it to sat nothing of putting it up

Going to do it though so they are right there and I can know they are safe......

Leaving you ((((( )))))) and will be in your pocket on Monday but jump out for the scan cus of the metal in my head  Fingers crossed you get some decent results. Cris xx

    Hi Julie,

They have just rang back... they have never heard of it but they will see if there is a consultant that will do it.....

Price... they don't know as yet... my vet will do it for 50 :lol: She would do a good job as well.....

Oh B rejected me as well.... We just did it too late eh?!

There are 2 other private ones if this one can't.... surly someone can just do it...... The vet can... but not ethically.

Leaving you a ((((( ))))) and a cuppa and a pm soon, promise. Cris xxx

    Hi carol,

I don't know how I would have coped without this lot.... They are invaluable....

Hey didn't get an answer to the email in the end  See he can't cope and that's kinda good really..... keeps it all nice and quiet... i hope.

Your right though about family stuff.

hey as many healing thoughts coming back to you flower and hows the knitting going?

really nice to see you about again and leaving you a (((( )))) and a hope flower.Cris who is not any different to you in terms of strength and stuff so pleae don't think she is xx

    Hi Louise,

its lovely and there is heat in it as well  Little legs and Slurps did this one cus they have energy to spare.... hope they will keep it up for the weekend.

I was thinking today about popping to Watergate before it gets too busy but got a drawing pain again now so decided if its nice tomorrow will go to Coats and St A and get my feet wet... as long as I can get the shoes on and off

I so hope your feeling better than you were? it can be a slow old process but hang in there.

Saw Doc H yesterday and he has moved my bloods to the rumo nurse.. either G or C and they seem much better at getting bloods out.

he noted I am not feeling pain as well as normal but from my point of view that's a good thing

He did mention deterioration and stubbornness ... as if.... He did say its the stubbornness that keeps me going....... I think sometimes he just helps by listening... I know the prof is good as well but honestly think we got the best one. He is such a nice guy eh?!

leaving you a (((((((((( )))))))))) and a coffee as well as a promise we will try and keep the bellows going cus this is so much better than all that gloom and wet and have you seen how much the grass is coming on?! Love and a hope maid Cris xxx

    Hi Cris

Hope you are feeling a tad better today. Think I must have missed a page or else me brain has deserted wot you gonna get the vet to do for ya? Guess the biopsy will take a while to settle down for you so take care eh.

Glad you got the meds that suit back at least and hope money doesn't stop other treatment you need there.
Duvet day had to be abandonned today for all sorts of reasons, but I am definately having one tomorrow and will be happy to share it with you.

Just back from my second AC meeting locally with the rhuemy consultant speaker so have taken notes and know now all the latest biologics. Things are making advances out there.

Hey he more or less said us OAers have to put up largely with the best our untrained GP's can do with a glimpse of an ortho once in a while cos basically there is no research to say much can help unless we eventually opt for surgery if applicable. Told him 8 weeks of physio and hydro and then your time is up go take some painkillers wasn't very helpful and he had to agree with that. So although us OA bods who go to the meeting are vastly outnumbered I made few friends tonight and narrowly avoided being roped in for the committee. :???:

take care and gather some spoons tomorrow if you are contemplating the sale this weekend please, pretty please. When the girls back?

Just seen your post Chris, as a fellow OA'er, sounds about right eh? Lol
In a strange way (yep, a very strange way) I am sort of glad that the hands/wrists are sero-neg, at least there are treatments out there, boy, reading that back it looks sillier than it sounded in my head

    Hi fay,Tony and Chris,

Fay no get together without the Northerners, the Scots, the Welsh, the Irish the Southerners, Easterners, the Westerners and the Centrals.... promise!

Can I look after the horses with their carts? Be like Tom Pierce... we need Annie to help remember their names...... Harry hawk was one and Bill Brewer and Peter Gurney and that's it for me.... 4 or so to try and dread up again....:lol:

Hope the critters are coming as well? Miss l Legs will be in charge of the marques..... can just see her in a tweed suit and a clipboard..... ( sorry Wonky the things I do to your dog  )
Be good eh? Just I am such a long way down but there a few of us here as well so we can't for get the south westerners either

Tony we know a thing or two bout grafting and making tea at the same time ...... We's Cornish  Course some of us also know the word Drekly..... makes manyana seem quick.....

Chris the oa thing eh? tis the second class arthritis and always viewed as somehow no big deal eh? Gp's being one of the worst offenders.....

i am juts lucky I already saw the rumo and he agreed to take over my pain management for both the arthritisis and the unnamed one I wont have

I am glad you went though and hope there will be some they will have a guest speaker on oa as well?

AC are trying to up oa's profile though so maybe in time it will filter through just how bad it gets eh?

Talking of such did you ever get an date for an appointment with the nicer ortho? Chris you may have said but my brain is 90% fog and 10% worry just now.

Right I am going off on a bone rant now....

The collar hurts, the hard one really hurts. my ribs and sternum hurt and am having trouble pulling my shoulders back ( kinda expanding the chest thing) So what did I do yestersay./... forgot to ask about the rib pain! Forgot to ask about the bone lumps I seem to be getting and forgot to ask about the cough.

he did say with the sternum it was difficult to decide what was behind it bones or the inflammation and alien in the oesophagus.... maybe with luck the mtx will sort it a bit? The pain doc said it should......

Sorry reaching for the teasy flakes again... its just the private hospitals probably can't do a midline either but get this...

T has a special department for people who can't get certain procedures to find out what private place will do it...

    says it all eh?!

    So to that

    I say

Humpty Dumpty sat on the wall,
Humpty Dumpty had a big fall,
NHS is privatised and too much admin,
They didn't put Humpty together again.

She took him to the vet a couple of weeks ago ....expecting the worst......she came home with a course of tablets for him (must have been a ani inflam or steroid) and now he is walking round as if he was a puppy (ok slight exaguration there) but he is 14/15 yrs old and is doing marvelous......I have asked her for some

No honestly....I do hope it isnt going to be too expensive and i hope they get intouch soon.

    Hi Julie,

Hope your ok cus I just been to your post. You hang in there don't look at the Internet too much and your going to be fine.

Hey the private hospital rang... they trying to find someone to do it and will then tell me how much..... need some good sales I think

I kinda thinking now about the sheeps big needle (sorry Toni) and some fish pump wire and I will do my own.... wouldn't that get some comments :lol: Specially if I got the carotid.... ( sorry black humour... developed it on the waggons cus we had to./... didn't use it to to patients too often..... never an asset)

Just had the lodgers owner in (Tony we will fence off the marquees....) some are coming back today but sadly the poorly one was PTS this morning. Sad really but she did some good times.... Last year she was here and lovely and threw the beautiful lad bracken and she learned to like me.

Going to miss her and well....

Hope you also have a good week end and belated Happy Anniversary to you and your OH who I hope gets a bit of time off this week end. (((((( )_))))) Cris xx
