    Hi legs
Sorry again you had your op cancelled.
As to your black arrow, have you tried vodka or gin or any spirit? Most indelible markers are soluble in alcohol (use to use alcohol to remove from laboratory glassware as routine).
Have still got my black arrow from last weeks op,but is tucked down inside the top of my plaster and can't get to it...................... :x
    Ron

Now Ron that's being silly and a pure waste of good vodka or gin  ....especially as I'm not on Mtx till next week again

Hope you're making a good recovery.

Oh Linda, hopefully not, I was thinking more about you getting into the glamorous operation gown etc. Not the pre-op assesment.
Fingers crossed anyway. By the way 5 hours, crikey that was a long time.
Will keep checking to see what happens next, hope its soon for you.

    Hi Linda,

I hope you are starting to feel a lot better this weekend. To get so near to having your op only to be send home will have been a real knockback. I am sorry that you have had to go through it all and hope that you hear from the hospital soon.

Then you'll have to have matching ones, just make sure they know which one to do... If only there was some kind of simple system they could use to make sure they operate on the right one    :lol:

    Hi Joan,

I'm trying to keep the arrow now in the superstition that if it washes off entirely I'll never get another date

Glad you got your op done and out of the way and I don't think you took my place either. The shame is that it was a place wasted as it was too late for anyone else to fill my slot.

Just a thought Linda...wouldnt it be nice to be able to have a look round the ward before our ops...like you say you now know the layout.
I hope the cold is easing off.

    Hi Barbara,

Thanks the cold is easing now but is still with me

I think it's terrible when you go in the same day as your op. Not only are we starved but we're not on pain killers and it's so very difficult. Last time I went in the day before, got chance to familiarise myself with the ward and got to know some of my fellow patients and there wasn't far to go when in so much pain.

Times don't change for the better always :???:

If it was a real tattoo I would have the arrow made up of tiny flowers all of different colours - that would be really pretty

Oh dear, sorry you didnt get your op when all psyched up for it ..but for the best...as you were ill...
i hope youre on the mend...keep the arrow...saves them doing a new one! At least you know the routine at the start of the op so shouldnt feel as anxious. Hope your new op date comes soon, my friends was also put back as her pre med showed she had an infection. Shes had her knee op now and when i speak to her will find out how it went and if she got an epidural etc.
