Just wanted to send you get well wishes and hope you have a speedy recovery..
Thinking of you..

Good Morning Jean
(((((((hugs)))))))
hope you feel better today0 -
It's definitely good news that the physio's pleased with your progress, weejean.
You're bound to feel tired a lot for some time. The anaesthetic alone stays around for some time. Add on the meds, the exercises (after the enforced rest) and your poor body has a lot to handle right now.
You're moving in the right direction and that's the main thing. If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Well that is good news, your physio is happy and I hope that encourages you. It can be so hard to see the progress you are making when you are in the middle of it all. Do the exercises, rest, distract yourself as much as you can with the telly or mags or a book, but above all remember we are here if needed. Recovering from surgery can be a tough time, many of us on here understand that. You take care now. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Hi Jean
I repeat again you, are doing really well and having your physio pleased with your progress is wonderful. Let's hope you two can work together as a team and you will go from strength to strength, given time.
Definitely a gold star for you, Jean.

Hello from me too, weejean. I hope things are going well for you though it must be difficult with two new ones together. Keep resisting the housework. It’ll wait.If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Hi Everyone
Firstly I would yet again like to thank you all for the wonderful and encouraging comments over the last three weeks. I was so happy to see that you guys are still thinking of me although I havent been on line lately.
The good news is that the pain has subsided and I am now only feeling slight pain and muscle stiffness which is easy to cope with. I am getting stronger every day and can now see a light at the end of the tunnel. I am still not sleeping at night because I am uncomforable but I have learned to have several naps during the day to compensate. My days are taken up with my exercises as I am determined to get better as quickly as possible. Now that my legs are moving properly for the first time in my life I am experiencing new things every day and it is very exciting for me. I am walking properly, can sit properly, can go up a few steps, can move my legs in every direction which is a whole new concept to me. If my recovery continues to go well I could possibly walk without crutches in the next few weeks which is brilliant and I cant wait to try it. On the whole I am in a much more positive frame of mind and am looking forward to enjoying my new life with my new hips. Thanks again to you all for your support xx
Mig I have Sookie with me every step of the way xx
Sticky I am desperate to get stuck in where the housework is concerned but I am managing to resist as I am not well enough yet. I took your advice and decided that it wasnt that important and my recovery is taking top priority xxBig Hugs

Hi Jean
Its great to hear from you again....and great that you are in such a positive frame of mind......Well done you!!!!
As for the housework.........I said to the ortho on my 6 weeks visit about some light housework {I'm not particularly houseproud}but when you are sitting all day you notice little things dont you?
Anyway he said ...like what?? I said ......even dusting and polishing the coffee tables etc....{although that broke the 90 degree angle} .......but it was over 6 weks
He said how often have you done them in the past 6 weeks? Never, His reply was well....leave them......they are no worse than they were 4 weeks ago. Things get dusty, then when it reaches a certain level of dust it gets no worse I was happy to believe that for a while longer
My hubby was great bless him but they always miss things dont they? I only had one THR
By the waqy are your restrictions 6 weeks like most THR or much longer because of the double THR?
Love
Hileena0
