Oooh Jean!!!!!
fabulous to see you back posting and to hear such great progress.
Good girl for ignoring the housework....that will wait for another day (week!).
I cannot believe all the new things you are alreday able to do. You must be thrilled to bits.
One day soon you will be able to sleep better you will. l was the same after my back surgery and others have said the same. It can get you down, but the naps are a good idea to ease tiredness.
Love and HUGE hugs

What lovely news weejean, I am so pleased for you. **** the housework, you need to be properly better first - start that malarkey too early and yoiu could easily upset matters. Keep getting better, yes? And keep in touch, please. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Jean,
I'm so glad to see your update as I've been worrying about you. What good news Everyday you will keep seeing improvements even if they're only small and as Toni says you will start being able to sleep again soon
Keep on, keeping on.

weejean wrote:Sticky I am desperate to get stuck in where the housework is concerned but I am managing to resist as I am not well enough yet. I took your advice and decided that it wasnt that important and my recovery is taking top priority xx
Woo Hoo! I'm proud of you, weajean. I always felt that would be your biggest challenge.
You have come on in leaps & bounds (Well, maybe we'll leave them until next week!) and done so well. The sleeping on the back is hard enough with only one hip involved. I guess it's worse with two.
I am ridiculously pleased it's gone so well, not only in what the surgeons did but in what you've done (and not done) since. I have absolutely no advice to give you. You're doing great without it. Well done!If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

You are doing so well, Jean, I hope you are proud of yourself, we are proud of you! After my op next week I shall also have to try to ignore the dust on surfaces and sawdust on the floor, that dear hubby brings in after a "session" in garage. He will probably think he is trying very hard to keep things in order so I shall just have to try to bite my tongue! The housework is always there, whether you do it or not. Just takes a little longer if you leave it some time.
You have got your priorities right atm, Jean and that is you and your post recovery.
I hope you have an enjoyable weekend,

weejean wrote:Hi Everyone
Firstly I would yet again like to thank you all for the wonderful and encouraging comments over the last three weeks. I was so happy to see that you guys are still thinking of me although I havent been on line lately.
The good news is that the pain has subsided and I am now only feeling slight pain and muscle stiffness which is easy to cope with. I am getting stronger every day and can now see a light at the end of the tunnel. I am still not sleeping at night because I am uncomforable but I have learned to have several naps during the day to compensate. My days are taken up with my exercises as I am determined to get better as quickly as possible. Now that my legs are moving properly for the first time in my life I am experiencing new things every day and it is very exciting for me. I am walking properly, can sit properly, can go up a few steps, can move my legs in every direction which is a whole new concept to me. If my recovery continues to go well I could possibly walk without crutches in the next few weeks which is brilliant and I cant wait to try it. On the whole I am in a much more positive frame of mind and am looking forward to enjoying my new life with my new hips. Thanks again to you all for your support xx
So pleased to hear you are doing so well.
My advise keep resisting the housework lol!
Take care

Hi weejean, I was wondering how you were doing.
Great to hear things are all positive now.
It certainly took a lot of guts to have two hips done at once.
Well done.0 -
Weejean, how's it going? I know you were doing well. I'm just hoping you're not doing so well you've run off somewhere probably, knowing you, to do a spot of housework.
I hope things are still good for you. Take care.If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

I sincerely hope the reason for her silence is unbridled success with the op. If you are looking in at all, weejean, please give us an update! DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0
