Hi Chris sorry I missed your thread, I am more than proud, IN AWE is more appropiate, one brave lady, I do hope you are able to have a good rest tonight and the swelling goes down quickly and have relief from the pain. Im having MRI scan in the morning so I will spend it doing retrospective pocket duties for you, (((((((((gentle hugs Chris)))))))
Take care Linda0 -
Thanx Toni,
Best to get an early night and plenty of rest Cris! You will feel much better tomorrow (((((hugs))))) and cups of Char!

Hi Cris,
I do hope you can take things a wee bit slower for a few days and just do the basics for now.
Good news that you will finally get to see the OT I hope at least they will come up trumps for you.
The tendonitis is awful and fingers crossed that it will come under control very soon.
I will make sure Sid and co are well catered for Sunday, so don’t worry about that.
Hugs as always,
Lv, I x0 -
HI All
I know TOni has already posted from Cris, but Cris asked me to pop in and make sure you all knew that she was indisposed as far as typing goes for a fair while. Sadly the long wait for the pain clinic jabs meant she's had a double dose into places that were already well inflamed. They are protesting loudly.
Believe it or not our Cris thinks she's being a wimp  but I put her right on that count and told her we expect her to do nothing if at all possible!
BY the way - If anyone can think of a way of carrying water without using arms or shoulders Cris would love to know it would help to say the least
hugs (((())))
WOnky0 -
Wonky thanks for the update I had been keeping in touch with crisp by pm I have been so busy at work I haven't had the energy to post
It is good that cris has had the jabs.
Cris you are the bravest person I know you could never be a wimp rest and look after yourself
As to the water how about a trolley on wheels this a harness and getting one of the dogs to pull it
Or perhaps ra,miss l legs and maddie could get together with the others to formulate a plan (although I am worried my the company ra keeps what with miss l legs and maddie being such proper little girls )

I'm on it: I have dry washing to festoon over the open rotary (see juliepf's thread about her pre-op).
I guess she could be regarded as a WIMP - Woman In Most Pain. I dunno how she copes, I really don't. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0 -
hi all,
one handed i am afraid but hope nobody minds.
she has never done the lumber and the neck jointly before... she always said it was too much and i think i can confirm its close to just that no sedative but normally i don't need one and we were chatting away the same burble as my normal speech is now a days.....
i should be embarrassed but least i am true to the inner me see what happens when you step off the real world.....
anyway had 4 bilaterales into the lumber... yet to settle and just done to ease it cus its a long time since they 'worked' in the way they once did.
then somewhere in the region of 12 botox triggers into the neck and shoulders with 2 more going dead central and thats going to work cus they always do but just for a min they hurt more than ever.
bleed more as well so the drug is working a bit.....hell of a say to test it out eh....
i just feeling sorry for my self cus this neck is the bairn of my life and yet again i asked why i can't have an ortho opinion and yet again was told there was no point cus of how unstable it is and well it is hard to keep hearing theres nothing to be done
with the barretts and the hernia thing.....
gong to wait and see if its either pre or actual and if not going to pay for a second opinion and see if i can find a way to get the tent up and I and Julie with their crochet hooks and purple attire..... we could add in a triple laminectomy of the neck and remove the last remaining on n the lumber while we at it.....
all help welcomed
the water is a big problem but with all this rain please no more rain dances mind the difference between my little spoiled brat and the rough tough breagh..... bre gets wet, wish sits inside looking out if there is even a drop of rain..... you remember those houses things with the people who came out in sunshine and wore mac's and lurked in the doorway your grans used to have up on their mantelpieces.....
thats what wish is
val will try and get her out the hamper as soon as i can use 2 hands but she said in compensation..... would you like one of her double chock cookies..... it has to be one cus she can count
oh short changed then another bucket of food.....
couldn't lift the nut bag out the car and they had a handful and wish also knows how many nuts go in a scoop.....
many thank for all being there and Linda so good to see you posting and hope your ok.
sorry again bout the one handed thing. love and a bucket of hopes, hugs and love cris xxx0 -
What a remarkable piece of typing - bless you for doing it but honestly, my lovely, there was no need. You KNOW we are thinking of you, you KNOW we love you, you KNOW we don't want you to over-exert yourself, so please go and rest now. Please. (((()))) and love. DDHave you got the despatches? hi dd,
just now flower resting up is about all i am good for.....
the neck became supper sensitive to pain a while ago and its very swollen and thats pushing on hell knows what..... i wish they would do some real intervention but guess i am lucky that the pain doc has promised me as much support for it as she is able to find...... she has a back up for when the botox stops working.....
she is lovely actually....
we talked about the jabs into the elbow and wrists and she was saying [something i already thought having had them in the past] they don't really do much
she has given me some more lignocaine patches cus the skin is also feeling totally grazed and torn....
see i am becoming a wimp but its testament to how much it does hurt for it to have got this sick of it that its working against me so much....
no its not mine
how many aliens can one person live with
i got to get some bales out the car..... kinda thinking I might just drive the car in and open the doors and they can help them selves.... will remove the keys though cus wish is more than capable of driving to the nearest sweet factory.......
hope your ok today and promise i will go lie down and watch something i wont admit to again hugs and tea. Cris xx
hi berty,
hoe about i borrow Leisha's great danes......
they would be good to help eh......
toni's kids got haz attahed to the tray and pull some water... he loved it but spilt so much and besides he likes to have a sneaky chase of sheep and chicken..... you can see it can't you...
haz on his wheel of death [you know that loop he does yapping as he goes] with a bread tray and a bucket flying water everywhere.....
back to the yolk.....
hope you and ned are doing fine flower... hugs and tea xx0 -
Ooer Cris
Where have I been to have missed this? No you are never a wimp and we are always proud of you for the way you deal with all the shift that comes your way.
Rest and rest as far as the chores allow please. Well done on getting through all this and I leave hugs as always ((( )))
love and a decent cuppa.

Dear Cris
Thank you so much for adding to my thread today, but you should not, you should be conserving your energy for more important things, but there is no telling you, is there, my lovely. You are so stubborn, you will always do what you sometimes know you should not, but you do have such a great responsibility to your beautiful, four legged friends and naturally they mean everything to you. Try to be sensible, I am a right one to be telling you that - Ian found out I had stood on a chair the other day to reach into the top cupboard. The recipe book was on the worktop when he came into the kitchen and although he claims he knows where nothing is in the kitchen he knew where that lived. My word,, I got my knuckles rapped for that  - I know it was stooopid! I have not done it since.Lecture over :!: For you and me both!
Sending you bucket of love and a bucket of hugs

Hello, I'm sure I posted last night. Anyway, it seems to have gone down the black hole that eats e-mail!
Just to say I hope all is going as well as possilbe and hope the sheep are behaving themselves. Our year old cat, horice, whos's a beautiful, grey with white paws and white socks that he refuses to put in the washing machine is sitting by me and sends his love. Take good care,
lots of love, Sue0 -
Dear Cris,
Really hope you are beginning to feel some benefit and are taking it as easy as you can with all your hooved commitments- you are one brave lady!! Wishing you all the very best, Josie XXXXX0 -
Hi Cris
So sorry I have not been around to see your post. OMG you have been through so much, but I have to say very brave to have spoken up to the doctor and to have cryed, the best thing to do. They don't understand what you are truly going through and a good cry gives them a very good idea. Just want to say, I am sending you hugs of comfort and shall be thinking of you and never think your being a wimp, you being brave.

hi Chris, Elna, sue, Josie and Karen,
thanks so much cus its been a long day one way and another.....
i so hurt and i don't want to whine but this has trebled the pain for a min... it wont.... it will settle but the pressure the big jabs put on the lumber have upset it 'somewhat' and its not a good enemy to live with.....
i did get the bales out and did do their bed... it was so good a top class t/b horse would have approved of it...
and what do they do...
they eatting it......
its only a 12 x 12 give or take shed and it nearly killed me...... tomorrow we are doing the chicken house... you have been warned.....
i think next time i will hope to have more than one days warning could be better prepared eh.....
Chris its so good to see you flower an hope wonkers and the shop are going ok. don;t forget you still got dip-stick and Eeyore to help you through the duvet days...... not sure you want them though
hugs, tea and a hope tomorrow goes well xx
Elna i promise i am going very slowly and quite carefully.....
you should not be going up steps....
hey about this swallowing thing.... i have that a lot and always put it down to the alien but maybe its the neck after all..... the tablets sticking is horrible cus they never taste nice do they. hope you soon get some improve and here you go... one pink and sparkly chiffon sheep dress that needs a good iron.....
bre seems to have inherited gotley stampy feets clothes..... and nature
you go steady, hugs and tea xx
sue i hate it when posts go missing.... i remember your Horace.... he is the same age as something and thingummy or was it figgy hobbins... any way he is a lot nicer than mine cus they have the whip out and making complaints with their clip bored and white coats
i have told them they will be in trouble if i resign.... apparently as a slave you can't do that
good to see you and hope you and your oh are ok? hugs and a sachet of the seafood platter for Horace... don; tell Izzy xx
Josie tis lovely to see you hope that foot has settled down ok. flower the weather isn't too good so at least i might not feel compelled to do a sale tomorrow..... in fact, sorry folks, i hope it rains
the hoofed commitments are being fairly kind for them i just didn't get enough notice for this one and help isn't arranged  i need the jabs so badly i didn't think it through too well hugs and its really good to see you. xx
Karen you know i haven't broken down to a consultant for years./.... he stuck me on palliative care and thats hurt but its worse when the care isn't really obvious.....
the tendinitis explains so much as well
hope your doing ok flower and good to see you. hugs and i think there still a cuppa in the pot. xx
right i am now armed with sprays to try and ease this down... almost hit the deck 3x today.... it seriously does hurt  see thats why i am a wimp..... its never hurt this much but then its never been this overdue and this inflamed to start with.....
i hate this bone stuff and its cousins and relations... OH and the alien been kicking me about too... got his measure 80 nexium and he has shut up
my thanks to you all and take care. Cris xxx0 -
Hi Cris
So sorry it has been a tough one there. Leaving some notch above vibes, along with some healing and it has got to get better juice. If only all our caring so much could actually help you it would be worth it. I mean we have even got sticky on the roof to watch out for things. Do so wish you could get some real help with the daily chores, especially at the moment.
Hang in there and know we all do wish for better days for you.
Eeyore and dipstick are good company if a little naughtly at times and still keeping me sane so I hope you don't need them back just now? Both jobs a bit crazy at the moment, but I am gritting my teeth as you do.
Try and rest when you can please pretty please.
love and buckets of cope
Chris xx0 -
hi Chris,
thanks for the juice and vibes... much needed and also the help you lot give does make for tangible [thats become my word of the day  ] help!
never doubt it please.
hope things at both wonkers and the shop will ease up and promise i am going to go find a comfortable position and get my head down soon..... just waiting for enough hours to pass before i take the oxy's.
leaving tea, some food for the 2 naughty ones [and they are] with a side dish of day go well and hugs. Cris xxx0 -
hope you are fast asleep in your bed cris try to take things slow your body been through so much it needs time to recover a bit ((())) and positive thoughts val
ps ate a whole bar of wholenut cdm yesterday thought of you but did not save any sorry :oops:val0 -
Dear Cris
I hope you rested/slept some, last night, you should have after all you did yesterday which was far too much, you and I know that, but you are stubborn, incredibly stubborn and determined cos you have others to care for that totally rely on you. It is amazing how we can achieve the end by doing a task in little steps, instead of one big one, do you find that, if you are really determined? May take a lot longer but it gets done.
So it is the chicken house today then isn't it, Cris.....well ....... it is no good telling you not to, is it, cos you made up your mind yesterday, so please take it easy with rests and carry much lesser loads, it will take longer but it will get done, very hopefully, without taxing your body too much.
One pink and sparkly chiffon sheep dress, returned, beautifully ironed and pressed with the greatest of care. A lorra love went into that little task, for you.
Behave, my lovely and I shall try to do the same
Love and fluffy hugs to wrap around you, when you need them.

morning Val and Elna,
i got a bit of improvement in the right shoulder the botox is doing the job there and its stopped spaming....... its a start eh
slept a bit better as well and think that always helps......
Val i see you were about early my friend and hope your ok today? its normally pain that has us up at such horrible hours and well just hope your comfortable and an get a bit of rest today...
got some cad bubbles bar if you'd like to share? hugs tea and hopes. xx
Elna oh flower the amount of stuff i get round somehow i did honestly crawl to re-do the electric fence and very often find slithering about easier than standing up now a days..... not the hen house... you wouldn't want to slither in there just now....
got to do it cus this was very short notice and they were in all day.... i got ducks [only 5] but if there are dirtier animals out there i have yet to meet them
never worked in a zoo but have cleaned up behind every other kid of animal ... including humans
i remember making a choice back in the 80's, they had just told me i had real problems with the back and they weren't sure it was going to be much good to me.....
i decided it would be... i was still in my 20's and well bloody minded might have had some bearing i also had a major head injury in my teens and well that was 3 months of ot learning to walk and talk again basically.....
so have had so long to get used to all this crude..... i also don't give in but as i get older the temptation is starting to creep in and thats where the employers are so good cus with them i can't give in.....
possible like having kids in terms of the commitment?
back to what you said i so agree there is a way round most things.... and what i can't get round i stick my head down and charge the rumo and the pain doc say that my perseverance is what they love working with so thats something eh....
i was looking at your brace.... might talk to them about one to be honest..... they look kinder to the shoulders and the base of the neck?
Got a moulded one and a soft one but well Elna i am bad at wearing either..... when the temporary paralyzation happens i remember i should
the dress is magic... i shall get her in it for the pirouettes she is so good at doing
her normal clothing is dungarees its wish in the tweed suits shall i shout up ow... best to eh? love and thanks xx0 -
yes you got it in one but injections on wed so with luck will be bit better after that i will keep doing what my body does not want to but **** it it my body and i do not ask that much of it must loose weight might help you never know ??
you eat the choc i bit stuffed with it when you start eating it you do not want to stop silly shop had it on cheep tut tut tut.
will be sending helping vibes to get the animals to look after them selves valval0 -
I'm very pleased you slept a bit better last night. I hope the good news continues. ((( )))If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.
