    cris have read loads of dick frances books and know that colic is a killer even with op can still take them. i am so sorry that life is treating you this way but any horse that is cared for by you is so lucky even if life is cut short it is a life full of love and that is very important i can not begin to imagine how you must be feeling all i can say is i am so sorry my friend ((())) val

    Dear forum friends

    I have promised Cris that I'd come on here to post - she's tried to come on to thank you but I'm afraid she struggled.

    So, from Cris - and this is truly from the bottom of her heart -

    thank you so very much one and all for your lovely hugs and support. With Sticky on the roof and all your hugs I CAN get over this, but just not today.

    Please understand that this has been one blow that wasn't forseen, and it will take some time for her to get over this.

    PMs will go unanswered for a while I dare say, but it won't mean Cris isn't thinking about you all - she'll be looking but may not be up to posting. I'll post for her when I can.

    When she is like this {or in a lot of pain physcially}
    I tend to answer her pms but dont actually instigate any if you know what I mean.

    When I logged on yesterday, I hadn't read your thread. I just popped on to say I was thinking about you :roll: and added a smiley face, :oops: this is because I hadn't been around much and wanted to let you know I was still here.

    Now today after reading properly I feel such a fool. :oops: I hadn't read that teg was so very poorly.

    thank you all so much!

    i just dropped i to update Iris's post and i really do thank you for your understanding and care .... and you all are so kind to me as well.

    in the last 12 months i have lost 2 of the loveliest sheep, 5 cats and a dog. the lodgers might not be mine but the love i have for them is every bit as big as the love i have fro the employers and with them its 1 mare [thankfully not here cus that would finish me i think] 1 miscarried foal, 1 born dead and the teg.......

    oh and i have also lost a father but .... he left me out the will as well and you know what that hurt cus i didn't want the money i wanted, or maybe needed, acknowledgement of my existence..... i didn't get it from either parent but am dealing with it.....

    so this blow seems to have triggered so much and i am so sad not least cus he was a sweet little thing, grot pony but a very sweet one especially in his last 24 hours when he needed reassurance and he always came to me fro than so it really hurts...... i am sorry but it does.

    i will be ok just not today either.

    Oh Cris my love, a hug and hope that things will get better. Leaving you out of the will shows what kind of person he was, and now it's plain to see by everyone. You are loved and admired so much by so many, and are a power for good in the world Cris.
    Teg's loss is crushing, and now coming on top of everything you've had to cope with you're sore at heart and in body. My friend please believe us, you are amazing and you will come through this.

    Oh Cris I am so sorry for one not being around much my son and my dad been in hospital but that's another tale, but mostly for little Teg its not right or fair, all i know is he was wrapped in love from a wonderful lady, yet that makes it hurt even more I'm certain. All I can do is send love and hugs, take care lovely lady Penny and Harry xxx

    Update from me....

    Just heard from Cris so am doing PA duties at her request.

    She fell asleep in her chair (armchair duties) at 9pm last night woke up at 5am...went back to bed and hasn't been up long now.

    She is feeling exhausted and her neck is pretty bad so might not make it on tonight.

    The business with Teg had really hit her hard too :sad:
