Panicking Nicely.......

Hi All,

Some of you know I saw the rumo last month and had a review of the spine and neck.... its not so good and they found lack of reflexes and a lot of pins and needles as well as a degree of retention.

made me choice to have either the neck or the lumber MRI'd and had it done a couple of weeks ago.....

They asked me if I had pins and needles in the saddle area and I did .... not sure what they were looking for but ...

I have now got numbness instead of the pins and needles and the retention has stepped up a bit..... I don't know I need to wee till it extends and then I can't feel i am going and I just find incontinence a gen fear and something I know I can't cope with....

Half the left leg is no longer registering being touched and I am freaking out....

Ah well shall stick another bottle in the lamb and maybe and try to calm down.

im sorry your having such a rough time lovely, it sounds like preasure on some of your nerves which is causing the numbness, hopefully it will settle back down and feeling will return. im glad you are seeing the dr on wednesday, you can count me in on pocket duties without a doubt. you really are having a time of it , i wish i could help all i can say is i get the pins and needles down my arms and numb fingers most days which is caused by presure in my neck and when im flareing my whole arm/arms can go numb, hopefully they can do something for you as you have enough to deal with,

how are those little lambs, i bet your going through some bottles.

Hi Coco oh flower the endless pins and needles was better than the numbness... well maybe not better but least it meant I felt

yep she is doing some bottles.... she is now just on knee high, nearly over and is eating hay so her rumen will kick in soon.... she is lovely and if she would be a good girl I would cuddle her but just now she is full of rocket fuel and sprink

She been climbing all over the Old lady... and her Ladyship said this is not homage Actually they are happy with their new sister and Bre has got tamer over it as well

I don't know what they will do with this lot flower.... I think the palliative care thing will mean nothing but I am quietly spinning cus there are 2 thins I have had before the big op and I am this close to them being here again only this time with no hope of it changing.....

I'm glad you're seeing dr Wednesday, I know you're worried hon, as are we your friends, but it may be the extra work of looking after baby lamby is pushing on nerves that want to rest? Can you get anyone over to cover bottle feeds for a bit? and maybe go to A&E? It's not right to be left like this Cris. i do know what you mean about pins and needles being better than numb honey, its awful for you, please call and speak to your dr tomorrow if only for a little reasurance,

im glad the lamb is doing well, hopefully you will soon get a break from the bottle routine as the lamb gets bigger, rest when you can, thinking of you xxx

Oh Cris, it is a fear but hopefully your doc will be able to help you on Wednesday, I will be there with you for sure. Are due for the dreaded drip? Hopefully that will help with some better circulation.
Glad to hear the girls are getting on so well and Bre is getting so much calmer. It was a good move to get Alba.

I have the pins-and-needles thing in my arms and hands now, which is down to my neck but this has been going on for much longer for you. Sorry I really dont want to panic you any more than you are, but I was told that if I get loss of bladder or bowel control, then I had to tell them immediately, I think it is something to do with then having to get pressure of the nerve before any more damaged is done.
Now please be careful, and try to see someone before weds, sorry but I do worry about you.

Hello, sweet Cris,

I bet Wednesday cannot arrive fast enough for you. You should not really wait that long, like Barbara says, but I expect you will. My consultant always asks me at my appointments, if I am ok in "that department" and I am sure you know what I mean. I wonder if you have anyone with you to help today and the next coupla days or at least someone is calling in as it cannot do you any good to be alone worrying. I really feel for you dear Cris. If the situation gets worse, please seek advice before Wednesday. Will you promise .......? I am wondering how you are now. I hope tending to Alba, is helping to keep you calm-ish.

Oh Cris, you poor thing I know exactly what you are going through.

Please please get this checked sooner rather than later. This could be cauda equina and you must get it looked at. Stop whatever you are doing thats made it worse.

When i told my surgeon i had pins and needles down there i was ruslhed for an emergency MRI. I dont want to worry you but i do want you to contact someone either tonight or in the morning.

I now have no feeling in the saddle area at all and have incontinence due to nerve damage but the damage wont go any further or get worse.

Please get this checked hunnie, I can't say this enough but after what the surgeons were like with me I know it's something you can't just leave.

Big hugs and I am in your pocket now in case you need me.

Wow you people are so kind.... I do these melt downs now a days... never used to but feeling the pressure i guess and a few things are getting to me....

I have this doubly incontinent dog.... he isn't ready to go yet but it is hard to keep cleaning up...Never put anything down before they say they are ready but .... Oh I don;t know will try and stick it on the back burner for a min....

Alba is a bit of a work load I guess.... she is now just over knee high so not much bending for bottleing.... She is also a bit of a live wire

There is a lot of Scottish spirit in that one for sure Mind sh has a 'Mummy' who is 90% Celt so we get on just fine

I just threw up again... the oxy's so work and yet I just don;t seem to be too good at tolerating them.... I take less drugs though with them.... well more anti-emetics mind....

So much to talk to the doctor about ..... I worried that its effecting the involuntary muscles.... It has to be cord pressure and the MRI done 7 years ago showed dents into the cord all over the place.....Its shifting bones as much as soft tissue...

I keep being told I am a hopeless case, not worth an ortho opinion and so it goes one.... They going to hold a conference now....The OT's, the Rumo and the Pain Doc will all sit and discuss me... I wont be there of course and will just have to put up with what ever they come up with but I do need that contraption.... Well it would help eh?!

A good friend of mine was gently making me see I do have to make adjustments to my life style... I so wish the recession would end.... plan B is so needed.....She is right though I do need to make some adjustments....

One day at a time ...... I say it to people and the same friend who was surges ting I change things (Slightly) taught me that one a few years ago but even that is too frightening at times.... Mind....

Chris,

Please go and see someone as soon as possible - doctors should be open again today. It sounds like you have such a bsuy life and are managing to stay on top of things despite all of this going on. You must be such a strong person. I really hope you see someone soon. Please keep us updated on how you are getting on - you'd better wear something with huge pockets, it sounds like loads are going to be in there for you.

I would be freaking out too hun. You really do need to rethink your lifestyle at the moment.Its not giving in its just adjusting.

It could well be time for some lifestyle adjustments my lovely, but that is far easier said than done. You are so used to living as you do - and have thrived on it - but age catches up with us all and things that were a doddle do become harder, even without arthritis. :roll: Just take it a day at a time, make small adjustments here and there and I hope the medicos can sort something out that will genuinely help you. ((())) love, cuppas and copes galore. DD
