I told you there were 4 magpies in my garden!
Wonderful news and I fully approve of the names as my first boy was Jack and his dad is Rick (close).
I was a bit out on guessing the weight I should have known better as 7.4 was the same weight as my first baby.
Have you been to see him yet or will Mum be home very soon.

At last! Congratulations on becoming baby Jack's nanna, dear Linda. Congratulations to Grandad too. Such a wonderful time for you all. I hope DIL is recuperating well after her ordeal and that your son is being a doting daddy which I know he is.
Treasure all the moments you get with baby Jack, it only seems like yesterday that our little Lola was born and she is off to school in September aged just 4 years old.
I calculated Jack's birth weight on the fact that our Ben was 61b 8 ozs, born on the day so I added two weeks weight on top of that! I thought you would have a grandaughter, though, so was wrong there!
Give Jack a cuddle from me.

Thank you everyone and a special wave to Plug (good to see you ). I would to thank you individually but I'm too exhausted so I'll do it collectively.
I've read all your posts with a smile on my face from ear to ear. Little Jack shares his birthday with someone else special then eh Suzy, plus his weight and his name 'E' and the four magpies were right they did indeed bring joy
We popped in this morning for a glimpse and a stroke of his little soft cheek then we went back at visiting time in the afternoon and both had a cuddle and a talk to our grandbaby. He smells that lovely perfume that only babies have and fits into the crook of our arm perfectly as though he belongs there. When the nurse asked his name she said 'oh, how lovely, a proper name at last' And here he is
Of course, you have to say he is gorgeous I'll give a cuddle from you all.
Night, night all I'm off to bed.
