As for Mr SW second-best-straitjacket - that's a good idea but who does the buckles up, would it require a third party?

A party's always a good idea, Legs - 3rd, 2nd or 1st. Better have one now before the late arrival at the Legs' ball. You won't have time later. I'll bring the Chenin Blanc.

Hi Ruby, 'E', Bubba, Barbara Toni and Sticky

Nothing yet. I haven't even come back with an oven .........................there's obviously still a bun in it :lol::lol: I would like a white built in double oven but the fashion is stainless steel so it looks like I have to order on-line which I don't really like doing .............anyway I digress

I can't see my Dilly (D-i-L, affectionately) doing handstands or cartwheels but she might just risk a hot Madras. She wants to have GrandbabyLegs by Friday because if it hasn't appeared by then her midwife has booked her in for a SWEEP   That doesn't sound nice and she's quite worried about it so fingers crossed for her everyone.

Mr Legs is going to collect her tomorrow to spend the day here so we'll be 'Dilly-sitting', poor girl is worried about being so far from the hospital and going into labour on her own.

As for a party Sticky we're only allowed a cyber one in order to keep a clear head. A nice chilled Chenin Blanc sounds just the ticket ............we'll save the fizz for later

    Luv,
    Love, Legs x

    The Sweep !!!!!!!!!!

Sounds awful unless they mean having a sweepstake to bet on if its a girl or a boy.

Can I bet for a girl! (I'm usually wrong).....see how I've covered myself there?

    Hi Suzy and 'E'

We all love a baby and a new birth :D

LOOK AWAY NOW ALL MEN AND PEOPLE OF A DELICATE DISPOSITION

A sweep is where they manipulate the baby from inside and out to encourage labour to start   From what I understand it hurts. :|

On the contrary, Legs. It should be compulsory viewing for blokes. (They don't use a....er....brush, do they? Thank God, mine were both keen to get into the world and have a nosh.

    Back from my course!
    No baby? No oven? :o

Sweep was discussed at our last midwife appt. ...not sure my daughter fancied it though.
But once she gets to the overdue stage I think she may be willing to try it.
Its our anniversary today and two people have sent us some champers..so its all chilling nicely waiting for the big day.... but I'm so excited for you too that I may have to have a glass when grandbaby legs appears :)

I don't blame her not wanting to be alone too far from the hospital, very wise to spend the time with you.

    Hi Everyone,

Still no news .......................so the brushless (Sticky) sweep comes closer. :| Her mum had it done for her sister so she knows, like you do Karen that it's definitely painful. Did it start you off?

Ruby you may beat me to it yet or we might get our grandbabies on the same day so we could be popping our corks together :D We can always go round to see Diamond and have a practise squeeze of her grandson

We are getting a rut in the carpet now Lynn but we're walking side by side in our agitation.

After being without my main oven, Toni, for six weeks now whilst we've been shopping around, trying out and seeing if John Lewis would compete with Comet/Currys, which in the end they couldn't, I've just ordered on-line. My new oven from Comet (best deal, I saved just over £250 on the same model from JL) arrives next Wednesday 18th July, which could, possibly be here before the baby at this rate

Do you think GrandbabyLegs is waiting for the sun to shine?

Three days 4 minutes overdue .....................still waiting!

    Luv and night, night,
    Love, Legs x

    Happy anniversary Ruby!

Friday the 13th is fast approaching so she'd better get a move on!

(actually my great-niece was born on Friday 13th and she is a beauty)

Keep on pacing Linda and Mr Legs,

Linda JL are not often the cheapest as I found with buying my washing machine they add all sorts of extras during the ordering process.

I have to admit I've become addicted to checking in to see if the Dilly has made an appearance yet! It's like the 'pap's' chasing so called celebrities!! Well I'm in for a 'online' party! Are we going to have a 'pre-dilly' party and a 'welcome to the world dilly' party? I'll bring pimms, guinness, Tiquila and nibbles!!

Hi 'E', Lexy , Bubba and Karen

Karen that sounds horrendous, I hope she doesn't have to have that done. :|

Lexy we shall be watching for your new grandchild later then :D

Bubba a party with Pimms sounds lovely, you'll find Sticky somewhere with a nearly empty bottle of Chenin Blanc :lol:

Just spoken to my Dilly and she says she's been getting some pains though they're not regular yet .....................so things just might be starting to happen. She's asked that we go over to see her later, so we're going after lunch.
      ('
E' I'm always attracted to using John Lewis because they are so good with their after sales service, if you need it ...............but I refuse to spend so much more with them.)

Will update you later I'm off to make a banana cake now :D

    Still waiting.

A nearly empty bottle of CB? That was yesterday and this is a party :D Today I'll make up the Pimms to my son's special recipe. It involves lots of gin and Pimms and a splash of lemonade.

Come on, little miniLegs. You can do it.

OK I reckon it's time we got this show on the road. I'm willing to push if the rest of you are. How about it? Gas & air, anyone?

Calm down everyone .........................nothings happening, just the odd ache and she can't sit comfortably. Laughing makes her more uncomfortable but when you're trying not to laugh it makes you laugh more.:lol:

We've just got home from spending the late afternoon and evening with them. We've been going through names because they only had the first name for a boy. They're nearly settled with two names for a boy and girl. Maybe GrandbabyLegs will put in an appearance now it has a choice of names.

Last week one of their dogs cut his paw and had to have stitches and he keeps eating the bandage plus he's removed his own stitches. It has had to be redressed four times so he now has to wear an upturned lampshade when he's unsupervised  Before we left one of their other dogs was sick. Gee whiz what a time to have two poorly dogs :|

I'll let you know if your collective pushing helps :lol:

PS Banana cake was lovely, some even reached as far as the freezer :D

    Still waiting :D
