    Happy belated birthday to Lucy sorry I missed it trying to get organised as going away this week until after Christmas. Lovely photos Toni girls looked as though they were having a great time xx :presents:

    Apart from that all is well. WELL...hopefully.

    Lucy is out tonight - hitting the town with her big sis Charley in charge. I will be worried, but I am certain Charley will protect her.

    She just wants to see inside all those places she's heard about :xmas_confused:

    Hope the girls have a lovely night out. I'm sure they will. No point in telling you not to worry. I always worried when my kids were out till I knew they were home safely. xx

    It was Sunday Christine...see below for results.

    Good news was no seizures after it at least.

    Evening everyone so sorry to be AWOL :xmas_redface:

    Yesterday we went to clinic and got the results of Lucy's MRI (2 days before).

    She has avascular necrosis of her lt hip (maybe shoulder too), due to the high doses of steroids and 3 of her chemos.

    Apparently high risk for getting it are girls with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia aged 16-20 :xmas_rolleyes:

    I did suspect this might be the case as she was walking wonky - not much fuss from Lucy though bless her.

    Referral to physio and ortho. Off steroids. Likelihood she will need surgery in the short-ish future :( Not ATM though due to still having chemo.

    This post is almost identical to the post on the café thread.

    Oh Toni, it is such a long haul for you all. It sounds as if Lucy is staying strong and taking it all in her stride. At least you don't have to think about the surgery for now. I hope you can all enjoy Christmas and put everything to the back of your minds for a while. Love and hugs. xx
