Good luck with the line flushes Toni.
So glad you were able to honour Pagan and raise money in her memory. Lovely pics by the way.

Sometimes you lot still have the ability to make me well-up
Joan, Elizabeth, Barbara, Bubbadog, Toady, Stickywicket, Christine, Hileena and mig
Pagan's do was very emotional, but also very uplifting.
We have done a line flush and dressing change at home. The worst bit is drawing the fluid out of the vial into the syringe. The nurses do it like it's nothing!!!
Hoping Lucy's bloods have picked up by clinic on Tuesday. Her friend Fiona (top piccie) had acute myeloid leukaemia and was given the all-clear this week Yippeeee!!!!!!!!!!
We have an appointment for an MRI this Friday coming. The neurologist wants to change Lucy's epilepsy meds as her EEGs are worrying, but needs an MRI first.
Lucy should have been going to the football with Paul today, but not sure as it's raining really heavily
I hope everyone has a good weekend
Love and thanks

Well done on doing the line flush. A few more times and you'll be as good as the nurses. Fantastic news about Pagan. One day, hopefully not too long, it will be Lucy who gets the all clear. Hope the MRI goes well. Pity I can't send some sunshine to you for the football match. The sun woke me up this morning. Maybe I shouldn't speak too soon. Have a lovely weekend.Christine0

Oh frog, well done It must have been so scary doing that line flush - bad enough if it were for oneself but for one's daughter  (Sorry, couldn't find a whimpering shakey icon ) I hope next time will be just a tad easier knowing you can do it now.
How lovely for Fiona and uplifting for everyone else
I hope the MRI and meds change go smoothly. I don't think I'd fancy footie to day (wet and miserable here) but, whatever they do, I hope they enjoy it.If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Oh my goodness. I am so so sorry. I got the girls names mixed up. I meant it was good news about Fiona. I have tried to delete it but there doesn't seem to be an option. Oh Toni, please forgive me.Christine0

Hi Toni
That's fantastic....managing to do that line flush yourself......anything for your children is so much harder.
I remember when I was nursing {many moons ago} I didn't mind having my own blood taken or any injections, neither did I mind giving injections to patients but when it came to my little ones
I sat, with them on my knee and my head turned away...couldn't watch so you are great...well done.
As for Lucy' EEG is it just that there is something he doesn't like on it or is she having more seizures?
Love
Hileena

Thanks to you Joan, Hileena and Stickywicket.
Hileena both of what you suggest are happening and it's pretty scary It could be the chemo or the keppra, which she changed onto as you'll remember November 26th last year, may never have worked for her???
Joan and Christine - it will be Lucy getting the all-clear one day soon I hope
a whimpering shaky icon Stickywicket.....
this do?
Onwards and upwards; visitors today for us and Lucy too - even better sunshine
love

Hi Toni
You know how they are with me......a new doctor says Lets change those!!! No
I'm sorry about that.
Lets hope its the chemo and not the kepra
Just waiting for the day she gets the all clear.....she will do one of these days
Sun.......WHATS THAT!!!!!!!!!! Its not bad here not as dull as it has been and not raining but cold and definitely not sunny
Enjoy it
Love

Hope clinic goes well today and that everything is positive, I hate having M.R.I scans and EEG's those little wires they glue to your head are awful and the glue never properly comes off. Hope the Neurologist can get Lucy's Epilepsy Meds settled okay last thing Lucy needs are Seizures happening again. You have a busy week this week hope Lucy and yourself get plenty of rest in between. Sending You, Lucy & your family including Daisycat lots of (())'s0
