Lovely to see talk of football matches and cinema trips (I hope) hope Lucy had a good rest after the outing and everything is all set for Dr Tim tomorrow. All the best for that. So glad to hear about Lucy's hair, that's brilliant. Fingers crossed for a nice set of bloods next and a stable position with the anaemia.0

Thank you Elizabeth, Joan, Stickywicket, DD, Christine, Barbara and Toady
We have had a mixed week.
Saw Dr Tim on Tuesday as planned and got plenty sorted out, (he even rang yesterday afternoon to see how she was!!!).
Anaemia is ok, but all other counts are too low :? so meds have been reduced and Intrathecal put off until things are settled..
Recent EEG gives cause for concern so he hopes this will also help with the epilepsy. An MRI has been requested - don't worry Lucy sleeps in them and the Neurologist has increased one medication.
She has gained weight again, though not a huge amount, but slow and steady wins the race eh?
The low bloods mean our activities will be curtailed for now, but she is stronger than ever and Tia, back from University was amazed at her hair growth!!!
I have my authentication form Teenage Cancer trust for our fundraiser, but so far nothing from Cure Leukaemia.
We have glorious sunshine again here - I hope you all do too
Love and ((()))

Hmmm, it is a bit of a mixture, isn't it? I am very pleased to read that her hair is returning, that is good news indeed and I hope it continues to flourish. She sleeps in the MRI machine? Crikey, that is some accomplishment! I hope her bloods pick up, the weight gain is fantastic (and probably better for being slow and steady) and I hope the epilepsy does the decent thing and stays away. ((( ))) xxx DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

I agree. A bag of Dolly Mixtures there. Keep plugging away. (((())))If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

She is very wise to fall asleep in the MRI machine. I think I would definitely close my eyes and imagine I was on a beach somewhere.
good news and not so good news but they are monitoring her well and have reduced her meds accordingly and arranged certain tests and checks.
Lovely to hear all your girls are home. I bet you are loving having them all giggling and chatting together. If she has to curtail her activities for the next few days (or longer) she has plenty to keep her occupied at home for the time being.
I'm sure Cure Leukaemia will be in touch shortly but I expect you are wanting to get things on a roll.
Bit chilly here but it started as a beautiful Autumn day with the sun shining.

Elizabeth - I agree re the MRI!! I think DD, that it comes from the 'early' ones when she was so rough she could hardly stay awake. She must have had about 6/8 this year.
I think you're right about Cure Leukaemia - we get proof we are genuine and permission to use their logo and someone will probably sell some wrist bands or give us some to sell/those ribbons.
Yes - university hols = plenty going on with friends also visiting (screened before arrival for germs of course )
Stickywicket thanks for the dolly mixtures. Soon polished them off Seriously yes lots going on, but 'they' are keeping a close eye.
Ah yes DD let's dispose of the epilepsy with a good kick up the rear I'm certain her hair will continue to grow - it's soft and downy like baby hair so I got her some J*hnsons baby shampoo
Not so nice today still it is nearly November
Love to you all

Lots going on, some downs but some ups. Glad the girls are together. Bet they are having a lovely time. Sounds as if Lucy's hair is growing quite well now and good to hear her weight is still creeping up. xxChristine0

Reading all the updates and sending you my best that things steady up without too much further adjustments. How nice of Dr Tim to phone. Hope the MRI can be fitted in and that the increased med helps. Slow and steady indeed with the weight gain and on all fronts. Hope Tia can stay around for a little while (have no idea about university timetables/terms & what have you) so Lucy can enjoy the time with her even if some things are currently off limits. xxx0
-
good ol' mix there hey, Glad Lucy has her friends back and her hair is coming back. Things are more positive than negative but you have your up days and down days. Glad her weight is slowing gaining. Hope everything is on the up. (())'s to the both of you.0

Just popping in to send you my love. I see there are ups and downs - but i suppose that is to be expected? Hope that the near future brings more ups than downs. ((()))0
