    Good Morning Everyone

    Thanks to Elizabeth, Marie, Joan, Stickywicket, Frogmella and Christine. Sophie, Barbara and DD (love the Bees) Toady, Mig, Amanda and Hileena (hope I didn't miss anyone :oops: )

    Sorry to have been AWOL, but this week hasn't been great for me with my neck being very cross.

    To update you all....

    The intrathecal did not go ahead as planned as it failed to arrive in time!!! Pharmacy's fault I am told, but will now happen on Tuesday after clinic and also Lucy's 17th birthday!!!

    Today we will be off to the Clothes show and hope it's good. As their tickets are complimentary they have the last 'show' of the day at 5.30pm! So we will go at lunchtime or no way will she survive.

    We also managed a trip to Birmingham Christmas shopping with help form Lucy's big-sis Charley. Not a great journey home, but British rail came good in the end and helped us onto the next train :) Lucy had a great time - such a 'normal' thing to do.

    We will go to the antiques show and I will push Lucy's wheelchair in-case she needs it.

    Hopefully a good day will be had by all ;)

    'Very cross' :? Nowthere's a new euphemism :wink: I hope your neck has now got a grip on its temper :)

    I'm glad Lucy could have a lovely Christmas shopping trip courtesy of big sis and I hope the Clothes Show proves equally enjoyable.

    Let's hope the intrathecal goes ahead as planned this week and then Lucy can relax and enjoy her birthday. Every time her age is mentioned I'm brought up short. It's so easy to forget how young she is as her maturity levels put many of us (present company NOT excepted :oops: ) to shame.
    If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

    As for the shopping.......thank you Charley.......it is a very normal thing to do. Must make you feel a bit better

    Hope the intrathecal goes ahead as planned. Pity it has to be on Lucy's birthday but I'm sure she'll still have a good day. Lovely to hear that Lucy and Charley had an enjoyable shopping trip. Hope the Clothes Show and antiques show were just as enjoyable. Has you neck pulled itself together and started behaving itself Toni?

    Hello my two lovelies, I am so pleased that she had two good trips out (as you say, such a normal thing to be doing) and that the Antiques weren't to boring for you and him. I am so sorry about the grumbly neck and I hope it soon resumes behaving as it should.

    No intrathecal as scheduled? :( So it's now on her birthday? :shock: I, for one, would be having a screaming hissy fit about that. :oops: I sulked massively when I had to spend my birthday in hospital after an op. :oops: Lucy's maturity is very impressive - as is yours. I hope she manages to enjoy her birthday regardless of the treatment. ((( ))) xxx DD

    Poor Lucy to have her intrathecal on her Birthday! Hope she had a good Birthday, 17 growing up fast!! Good that she got to go on a shopping trip with her big Sister and I hope she enjoyed The Clothes Show Live! And that you enjoyed your Antiques show. Big (())'s to you all.

    Hope your neck has uncrossed!!! itself Toni and you are feeling a bit better. I hope you all enjoyed your days out yesterday. I am keeping my fingers crossed that all goes well tomorrow, being the person you are you will make it special for Lucy having to spend her birthday in hospital.............................Happy Birthday Lucy you are a remarkable young woman have a good as day as possible xxx

    Lucy's birthday was yesterday (I think the 10th rings a bell because she had a party for her 16th last year and that was the 10th Elizabeth).

    She took her new instamatic camera into the hospital yesterday and two cakes one for the YPU and one for clinic.

    Dr Tim Got the nurses to sing happy birthday to Lucy and she got a selfie with him :D Intrathecal went very well as usual, Tim is the expert :wink:

    All in all she had a fabulous day with lots of visitors when we got home, friends and family.

    'What a difference a year makes' how true my daughter has grown up so much :)

    I am very proud of her

    and the best news??

    Except for Christmas paries Dr Tim says she does not need to go in to the hospital until 5th JANUARY's IV chemo :D

    HOORAH!!!!!!!!!!

    How lovely that she is getting a break until the 5th. Yes you can be proud of Lucy but also be proud of yourself and how you have coped so amazingly. It is not easy being a parent of a very sick child.
