They are all fine....its S birthday today....we met for coffee and lunch ...at Starbucks....sound familiar
We took them all out for a meal on Sat for her birthday {except Andy}who was working in Scotland.
Apparently they are both coming to see me in hospital...S and A :shock:

Awww Toni ..so sorry you cant be with Charley..it must be hard on you ..but I am sure she understands and there will be plenty of time to make up.. I'm sorry I've not been around for a couple of days, frog. You are quite right about the learning curve - far too steep and bewildering at times even for an adult. When it's one's child....far, far worse.

I'm sure you will feel torn in two with poor Charley ill, too. I hope today will be a better one for her.

Poor Charley, I'm sure Paul is taking good care of her but when your poorly you always want your mom. I hope it isn't anything nasty and she feels better soon. It must have been a shock knowing you where on day 14 of 30. It's great your getting to know other children and their parents as they can become a great support for you both. Make sure you get lots of rest as well as Lucy (using the old pretend to be a sleep move, hehe good for her!!) Sending big (((())))'s to the whole family. xx

Love to you and your family Toni. Have you not been home at all in the past few weeks? I hope somebody is putting the washing machine on. The tumble dryer will need to be in use too as it not going to dry in this weather.

You can excuse her not wanting to do school work and pretending to be asleep but it could take her mind off things.

Poor Charley So she hasn't been able to go back to uni?

Hope you are managing to sleep in the hospital bed Toni, I couldn't cope when my Lucy had an op (luckily only one day) as they were low to the floor so I'm hoping the staff are making an effort to look after you too.

Hello everyone, I have heard from Frog. Lucy is slowly gaining weight (hooray!), the doctors are pleased with her (hurrah!), she had an anti-coagulant fed into her yesterday via the picc line (necessary but nasty?) and the wig lady is due to come and see them to sort out new hair (a difficult positive methinks but what do I know?) She resumes the chemo tomorrow (my eyes are leaking a little at that news ). DD

Gaining weight is areal positive...the wig... Lucy will be able to choose ...from some funky styles...hard on a young girl but has long as they get her well....I hope that Toni is looking after her self I know we keep saying this but we worry about her..and I hope Charley is on the mend...((((((()))))xx
