Haven't been here for a few days and was so sorry to log in and see this. I don't know frogmorton & her family in any depth like some here but toni has been nothing but friendly, kind & helpful to me since I joined, as soon became boundlessly clear she is to everyone. Can only send my utmost good wishes to you & Lucy & all family, frogmorton; and every get well & positive thought. Thanks to daisy for her updating role, will be in & out of the thread with a hopefully cheery post here & there. toady xxxx

Hello everyone, I earlier received a text from Toni. Lucy is expected to be in for another two weeks (a curate's egg, yes?) but - bless her - after having a bath and her shorter hair washed she donned some slap. Get in, girl! Good old warpaint can certainly help one to keep up one's spirits! DD

I have just heard a quote from a chap called Steve Evans. He died earlier today from stomach cancer, his story was followed by Richard Bacon in his afternoon show on Radio5Live. Steve said this:

'Cancer can release a strength in people they didn't know they had.'

I for one think this is very true of Lucy and Toni. DD

I'm going in for my THR a week tomorrow.....I've got a hair appointment booked on Thurs. to get my cut, colour and blow dry.
