Hi Toni
If you notice my disappearance from tonight....I'm over in Belfast. Seeing my mam. I always think when I go to see her it will be the last time {92 years old now} I'll be back next weekend
Home for a week and then off to the Peak District with Arthritis Care for almost a week.
Give my love to Lucy....and you of course that goes without saying
Both of you take care
Love

Thank you very much Stickywicket, Barbara and Joan.
Things are hectic at the moment, but it is definitely worth it Some wonderful people have made donations for us to use as prizes/auction etc
I am spending as much time as possible on facebook raising the profile of the event. I am told that selling tickets is the hardest part....gulp :shock:
Lucy's T shirt has arrived from Teenage Cancer Trust. Just waiting for Cure Leukaemia's and then we will be contacting the press....double gulp!!!! :shock: :shock:

Hello all thank you for the link frog, it is such a good thing to be getting the right input from those directly affected. I thought there might be a bit more blurb (this was such&such an occasion with Andy Burnham here & when & why, & this is how it went etc) But I can quite see why they need to keep their about us, mission statement-type pages very much 'to the point'. Hope everything's going ok towards the 10th! Letters from the Palace, I say!
There was a nice fundraiser for CLIC sargent running recently http://www.clicsargent.org.uk/news/25-02-2015-top-authors-offer-fans-chance-appear-character-their-books, good idea as you can see that people would want to bid on this.
Lucy wants a hamster? yes Daisycat would want one too, I'm afraid I can imagine that only too well (probably with chips & a side salad..! :shock:) reinforced cage woud be called for!0 -
Hi Tony
Just got back tonight {now 10.20pm}
I haven't had time to really catch up but it does seem things are going really well.
I'll catch up properly tomorrow
My mam is fine thanks {as fine as she can be at that age}
Much better than she was the time before last when I saw her.
Thanks for asking
Love

Just dropping by to say hello! I like reading all of your news - Lucy is an amazing young lady. It is good to see things going well for you. I think I missed the bit about the hamster though! My experience with hamsters was mostly painful, they all bit me. I did have some Russian ones, was told they like living together. What a lie! They kicked seven bells out of each other and I had to get a second cage! I found rats a better pet. And girl ones will live together. Mine used to run around my bedroom collecting things to take back to their beds!
Have a good week. xxx0 -

Morning everyone
Sorry to have been AWOL, but am having to publicise the 'Do' ATM
Yesterday I received a much needed boost to my/our efforts when two friends arrived and brought a LOAD of stuff they have been collecting up in North Staffs Another good friend has bought 3 yes 3!!! Facial cleansing gadgets for the auction/prizes too.
Lucy had her Intrathecal on Friday (13th :shock: ) but no problem at all Dr Tim was on fine form and I have heard he has his photo of himself and Lucy stuck on his computer, (receptionist saw it!).
Thank you Joan I hope you are having a good weekend too - it's chilly here.
Hileena I am so pleased to hear your Mam is better than last time
Frogmella - your hamster stories are pretty amusing. Paul has told Lucy to get her room tidy and keep it tidy first!!
Toady Lucy got an amazon voucher to say thank you for that and also a card Clic-Sargent are wonderful - they supply the social workers who sort us all out
Yesterday postie knocked with another parcel - this time badges and wrist bands to sell on the night. On Wednesday someone from TCT is coming here to drop off some 'pop-up' poster thingies (huge!) to decorate the venue
It's all exiting, but stressful - I am dreaming about it
Love
Toni xxx
