Another Newbie to the Forum
Hi all
Just joined the forum.
I have had Psoriatic Arthritis for 23 years and started on Methotrexate yesterday.
It would be nice to get to know people who understand how hard it is mentally and physically.
Going for a nose around. Pls say Hello 👋🏻

hi. I’m new on here myself. I tried methotrexate for several months but found the side effects too much. That though is a personal thing and I know people who have been on them for years.
They are the first go-to drug though and be aware there are always alternatives. Don’t be afraid to speak up if it’s not for you. Hope this helps a bit.1 -
Welcome @icantthinkofone to the online community
It is great to have a new member offer support in their first post , thank you. You are correct methotrexate does not suit everyone but it also does help amazing numbers of people. Sorry it did not suit you, you do not say what alternative you have been prescribed. I hope that is working better to relieve your symptoms.
I hope now that you have joined us you will look round the community and join in with the discussions and activities. We look forward to hearing from you again soon.
Best wishes

I've recently been diagnosed with the same and feeling very overwhelmed with it as I've watched my mum suffer with arthritis for years. Im hoping that i can grasp better control and ive caught it early in order to treat and slow down the progression. Unfortunately forum's and support like this was never available for her and hoping to find this here. I hope your coping well.
Kind regards
