Looking to chat with adults who have had RA since childhood.
Hi,
I was diagnosed with JIA when I was 2 years old. I am now 42 and have just had my fourth joint replaced. Due to long term steroid use, I have had many complications and struggle to heal now.
I dont feel like my doctors are particularly supportive, and definitely do not take in to account that I have grown up with this condition and know my body. I seem to be fighting for every little bit of treatment at the moment and often feel like my concerns or questions are dismissed quickly.
I do not know anyone else that was diagnosed at such a young age and think it would be helpful to me, although I would welcome any interaction with anyone on the community.
Thank you
Anne

Hi @Bic1982 (Anne)
Welcome to the forum.
I hope that joining the forum gives you the opportunity to converse with others who have also experienced JIA. If you initially only receive limited feedback then you could try posting in the 'Coffee Lounge' or 'Val's cafe'.
Best wishes
