First appointment with consultant
Well today is a day I’ve been waiting for and now it’s here I’m so anxious. First appointment on the NHS.
It’s been a long 6 months of me fighting my corner and trying to get doctors etc to listen to me. I’ve got rheumatoid arthritis plus psoriatic too.
I ended up paying to go private 2 months ago and they diagnosed both conditions but because of massive costs of staying private they said I needed to be got back in to the NHS.
So this is where I’m at today.
Dreading the medication as it’s the unknown of side effects. As they always say don’t Google it. Easier said than done.
All I want is the pain gone and my hands and joints to go back to how they used to be.
Not sure they ever will as is the damage already done?
I just want to thank everyone on this forum as you have kept me going the past 6 months with help and advice.
And knowing I’m not alone. xx
