Social Life and Pain
The osteoarthritis in my right knee has flared a couple of days ago so I am hobbling around and taking maximum pain med’s with limited effect. I usually manage my condition well and am fit and healthy otherwise, this is just very unfortunate as it does happen occasionally. I have a wedding of a friend to attend tomorrow with my son and was wondering whether to go? I don’t want to ruin the happy occasion because I am struggling with controlling my pain. It is also a long day 12pm to midnight with periods of sitting which doesn’t always bode well for the pain in my knee. Has anybody else been in a similar situation for a social event?

@yogamad
hello and welcome. I understand how you must be feeling regarding the pain in your knee, sometimes the pain takes over and you can't concentrate on anything else. I think it would be good for you to go to your friends wedding as it may help to take your mind off the pain and if your friend knows about your health problem then she will understand if you need to leave earlier.
Hope this helps. Take care.

My friend doesn't know about my osteoarthritis but he will probably understand. Yes it might help me to take my mind of the pain and put things into perspective.
