Got a hug from the wife
and a kiss on the head
    lump not gone any worse
burning stopped no just telling you what happend its not the song.
    Try this from 1981

    A million lights are dancing
    And there you are
    A shooting star
    An everlasting world
    And you're here with me
    Eternally

The night we met I knew I needed you so
And if I had the chance I'd never let you go

i think it's 'be my baby' by the ronettes (sp?)

    heres mine....

You know the day destroys the night
    Night divides the day
    Tried to run
    Tried to hide .......

i'm hoping i got the year right and it's a late 60's one, also hope i got the words right, i do sometimes get lyrics wrong which usually ends in embarressment for me!

    is it
    'just one look'?
not sure if it was the hollies, but i've been singing it all morning, still it's a good song, my mum used to sing it alot!

this is one of my favourite 60's songs! it goes-

Father McKenzie writing the words of a sermon that no one will hear
    No one comes near.
Look at him working. Darning his socks in the night when there's nobody there
    What does he care?

    Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da lol the Beatles

I'm pretty sure that's spot on so here goes, 60's you say?

Some folks are born silver spoon in hand,
Lord, dont they help themselves, oh.
But when the taxman comes to the door,
Lord, the house looks like a rummage sale, yes

    Hello Eckstardeluxe

John Fogerty and it was called the fortunate one. Most people think its a late song because its soundtrack is in the 9/11 movie.

See what you can do with this guys its early 60s

Once I had a pretty girl
    Her name it doesn't matter
She went away with another guy
Now he won't even look at her

    Hi Colin

Hats off to Larry Del Shannon

What do you get when you fall in love
A guy with a pin to burst your bubble
That's what you get for all your trouble

    Hey Vonski

    that was quick
Ill never fall in love again the carpenters but lots of others did the song.

OK try this it may be hard remembering the proper title but it was a well known song

His eighty two brings many fears
    Yesterday's laughter turned to tears
His arms and legs don't feel so strong
His heart is weak, there's something wrong
Opens windows in despair, tries to breathe in some fresh air
His conscience cries: "get on your feet
