Excert from a Teenage Opera Keith West. If you'd put Grocer Jack I'd have been quicker
This is still 60's
First there are kisses, then there are sighs
And then before you know where you are
You're saying goodbye

Dave Berry, The Crying Game0 -
Have a go at this one you all know it
Beneath your perfume and make-up
You're just a baby in disguise

I can see the couples dancin' through the night
They hold each other tight
As they dance of love till the morning light
The soft embraces that they seem to share
Just make me feel aware
Of the lonliness I find so hard to bear
Colin0 -
Hi Colin
Hope you are ok and the flare up didn't arrive. Glad you said Dave Berry and not Boy George I didn't know who he was until he came to the pub where I worked and he was brilliant.
Anyway back to the job in hand Let the Heartaches Begin Long John Baldry.
Down to the park
Overgrowing but the trees are bare
There's a memory there
Boats on the lake
Unattended now for love to drown
Vonski x0 -

The room was humming harder

When we called out for another drink

OK here goes:
The summer sun is fading as the year grows old,
The darker days are drawing near,
I wish that I was always with you,
But your not here.

Well Kate you got me i can't remember the name of the song but whilst i liked Madona i think it was better in the oroginal version by julie covington Now a good host would let me have this.
The song writen by AL Webber for Evita about Eva Peron, but we said said 60s this song was first recorded in 1972 i just cant remember what it was called lol. so you take another go. by the way would you like to move onto the 70s
Colin0 -
Sorry missed the bit about it being 60's stuff although I know some stuff 60's is a bit early for me so 70's would be helpful if no one objects.
As for the song it was "Oh what a circus" and it was originally released by David Essex (swoon) and you are right it is from Evita.
Talking of Mr Essex I am going to see him on saturday at the Derngate in Northampton. Counting down the hours!!!
Well we got no toys,
All you girls and boys,
Making all that noise,
Can't think of a word to rhyme.
(OM goodness just had another ladies tropical moment don't know whether it's down to my age, the thought of seeing David Essex or the fact that my brain has gone to mush over the words of this record. It was the first single I ever bought and I thought I was a bit of a rebel!) 8)0 -
