    hi all,

the good news is she got some sleep but she said she is exhausted.... bless her its not good in those wards....

when i had my feet done they turned a bit rotten... well very actually.... and it was the first run in with the iloprost....

it was done as a in patient back then.....

the woman opposite... well she was basically becoming an endangered species.... all care of my fellow humans went out the window but in my defence....

she used to appear in the dead of night and ask if she could get into bed with me

i swear that lady helped me get mobile very quickly :lol:

actually it was sad... she was re-living the war and being in a children's home...

i used to get wheeled into the day room to sleep at night ater that

Iris was getting her head down early and i hope with a bit of peace and quiet she will be a lot better energy wise tomorrow.

speedy i agree with you... Iris said she didn't think it was unusual but given her fears about the mobility afterward cus of wally and tt as well as the fusion i think she is doing incredibly well ..... and have told her....

you all take care and leaving hugs from Iris and me xxx

:grin::grin: she had a much better night, bit of decent kip and sounding more like 'our' Iris

Legs she said she is doing a Linda  the new boy is working well, they are on top of her pain control and she said he is really helping her...

see how much you for runners help! you never forget that please.

she was off for her shower and breakfast and she still says the tea is drinkable..... wonder why B can never make a decent cuppa?!

you all take care and Iris sends her love. Cris xx

Lots of love back at Iris whichever PA speaks to her next

Fantastic progress is all l can say....and yes l have to agree with Elna....being at home is so different isn't it? Single room with TV gives you most of the advantages of home without the work

Dorcas, if you're reading this I'm so, so pleased it's all going to plan.

Many thanks to dorcas' PAs and their postings - I am so pleased they were able to move her into a more private area, peace and quiet is so much needed when one is recovering from surgery. A 70 degree bend already? Strewth - that is progress indeed. DD

Great news Iris that you got a decent night's sleep. I expect you will have a 90 degree bend by the time you see the physio on Monday

You are doing so well and it is a wonderful feeling to be on the right side of the op and progressing so well. I am most definitely with you on that one :grin:

Oh my goodness, if Iris does, that is not many days in hospital, is it? I do hope she will have some help at home. I stayed in longer than that both times and was happy to as I had no help when at home, in the day, as Ian went to work, (I was happy with that) but the hossie did not know :grin:

That is good news, if Iris is ready for home.

Aw, that is great news, Cris, in that case, Iris is more than likely champing at the bit to get out so she can be with her sis. I am so happy for her. Hopefully things are at last looking up for her.

:grin:Wonderful news! Well done Iris and so relieved to know that your sis will be with you for the week. So happy for you also that all has gone so well and like me you are on the right side of the op and that in itself brings a high, well it does for me, especially this last op.

Do as you are told, but you are sensible and do not really need reminding of that. I do sometimes though, had my knuckles rapped a couple of times last week by Ian.

Don't run before you can walk and look after yourself,

Thank you as always Cris for passing on news.

    Love to you both

    Dear Iris,

Welcome home and back into the real world, hospitals are not the real world are they - you could soon forget what day of the week it is, when in there.

I bet you will enjoy sleeping in your own bed. The journey home can and does take it out of you. You and knee will be feeling much better and brighter tomorrow. It is such early days yet. You have done marvellously.

    Sleep well,

    Love

Welcome home Iris, I'm delighted to hear you're this side of everything. It's good your sister is with you, you'll be glad of her help no doubt. Take as much rest as you can and don't be trying to do too much. It's great news that you're home.
    Big hugs always Rita.x
