Ello everyone. Newbie to this here community but hoping to be able to learn a bit more and speak with folks who understand what it's like living with OA. I was diagnosed just over 3 years ago and I'm really struggling with it all now as it appears to consume my whole body.

This site is just so difficult to navigate and use. Took me over 20mins to get this far. In the versus arthritis, osteoarthritis booklet it states that capsaicin cream is good for hand arthritis. So why is it not available in the UK. Surely this is safer than taking lots of ibuprofen, so disappointing for me with constant hand pain.

hello, I have multiple joint replacements and now I have arthritis in my foot. The pain is horrendous, my walking is terrible, I have tried orthotics special shoes and nothing helps. Please can anyone help advice how to cope with this awful debilitating pain. Thank you.

Hi , I’m a new here .
I’ve arthritis in my lower back and hips trying to manage flareups is getting difficult and soul destroying. Has anyone found changing their diet helped ie cutting out dairy ?

Sorry to hear your concerns about flare ups and changing diet.
Personally I have stuck with dairy products but everyone is different.
Have you consulted with your doctor or consultant to discuss your options for pain relief?

hi this is my first post on here I’m having terrible flare up of osteoarthritis in all my joints mainly in my back I have degenerative disc’s on multiple parts of my spine and facet joint arthritis pain and stiffness is so painful I can’t do anything so scared I’m loosing my independence strong painkillers make me feel ill I have health anxiety and I am not coping I’m 67 exercises seems impossible can anyone help thanks

hi Peter thanks for reply but I have facet joint arthritis and degenerate disc disease on multiple levels of my spine I’m having a bad flare at the moment can hardly walk I’m taking pregablin and paracetamol can’t take anti inflammatory exercising is impossible at moment I also have severe health anxiety so scared

This is similar to myself, I take those 2 medications for my OA, pretty much all over my body, particularly bad in my lower spine. I feel your pain, the back pain can be excruciating.
