RA...does your Body fight the steroids
Newly diagnosed with RA was given steroids to help bring inflammation down but the day after i started steroids and since my stiffness and pain got worse, felt i was running a temp and felt like id been run over by a truck…since starting them nothing has improved and feels very much like my body is fighting them. Anyone else had this experience? Cannot understand if dose is not high enough, if i wasnt at peak of inflammation or if they just don't work for me

Hello @zoeee and welcome to the Online Community forum. We are a friendly and supportive group and I hope that will be your experience as well.
I think your question is one you need to ask of your GP/Consultant - not easy at a bank holiday weekend. There is always NHS 111 is you need to talk to someone sooner.
I hope you get some answers soon, please let us know how you are getting on.
Best wishes
Peter
